The Legend

My name is Ryan, and this is the story of how I discovered a legend. It’s the biggest secret of my entire life! One day, I saw these weird tracks in the snow, so I just had to check them out. You won’t believe what I found!

Deep underground, in a hidden cavern, I met the best friend a guy could have. We even used real magic to talk! He told me all about his life, and why I had to keep his secret. It’s tough, but I’m doing my best to help keep him safe.

The Legend Returns

Finally! School is out for the summer, and I can’t wait to spend the next two months hanging out with my new friend Corrie, and my old friend Willie. That is… if Willie comes back from his spring travels.

I only hope I can continue to keep Willie’s secret. I know it’s wrong to lie to my friends and family, but I have to protect my friend. The world isn’t ready to know about Willie…

A Creative and Fun Adventure!

Ryan's Legend is a creative adventure for middle-graders. I was curious to read this book and also to know more about this talented author who recently died. I am saddened that Lockie will not be around to provide more engaging and entertaining books for children to read.

One of his short stories will be featured along with one of mine and many other authors in an upcoming collection. I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful book which made me feel like a kid again. The friendship between the boy, Ryan, and the dragon, Willie, is sweet and heartwarming. I would recommend this book not only for middle-graders but for adults who are young at heart.
