The book titled "Before" is written by Dan Matheson. This book is a part of "The Smith and Miya Collection". The book revolves around Smith who is the protagonist of this fictional story. Ultimately he introduces his loving girlfriend Miya. Throughout the story, he travels with these two characters. The book traces a story where a lot of weird things happen in a place called the Steele Valley. The unique name of the place is derived from the fact that everything on that land is made out of steel only. It can be a park bench or money but they are made out of steel. This is indeed a good way to make the children imagine things and enter into this Steele valley.

I am a PhD Scholar, but I constantly look for books that will be loved by children equally. It gives a sense of relaxation and calming effect while reading these tales after a hectic day at work. Even adults can read this and I promise you will be thrilled to read this children's literature. The book gives an appropriate message to the readers who are young about being active and alert which is essential in their early days. Take a look at this simple book and do not forget to give it a try.

The book possesses all the traits to be used as an activity book in the lower-level class. It can be opted for by English teachers who are looking for interesting material. The process of teaching and learning is an important activity and, commonly, teachers look for unique materials to teach their students. It can be used as an activity book for children. Therefore, this book can be recommended to those who love to read tales that include the elements of a comic book and children's literature.

This book is basically written for young readers but I consented to receive a copy from the author in exchange for an honest and fair review. I absolutely enjoyed reading this first installment and made me miss and reminisce of my very own childhood. I'm currently eyeing and interested with YA or kiddie books because I want to introduce the world of reading to my children as well; hoping that they might love it the same way that I'm enjoying every part of it. The story is brilliant, fun, and simple. It has heartbreaking and surprising scenarios, but I'm pretty sure that any young reader can handle it well. I just find the last part of it somewhat odd and confusing because from the contemporary set up it immidiately switched to fantasy and I was kind of surprised. Not that I didn't like it or something, but I got really confused with the flow. I find the characters cute, it is a cliche' because they are childhood best friends and etc. but I still find the best friend-ish thing interesting and exciting for teens. The story also contains plenty of life lessons which are suitable for young readers which made this book highly recommendable. I just hope that the book was in colored illustrations from the start to make it more appealing to the readers. Will I recommend this book? Yes. And I'll wait for the succeeding books to find out what will happen to the duo and how they will unravel the town's secrets including their own skeletons in their closets.

I Loved this book. It was written for Tweens and had great life lessons.. it was written in both text and cartoons.

I would recommend this.
