Below The Line is the second book in the Devil’s Due MC series and let me tell you it was just as good if not better than In The Red and I really liked that book a lot so you know that this is another one of those must reads in the book whore’s opinion. This book reminds us that family doesn’t necessarily mean you are related by blood or marriage, but by whom you decide is your family. Now don’t worry if you haven’t read In The Red you don’t have to read it first although I must say you should read it cause it was a good book.
Again this is another one if those situations that I don’t want to give any spoilers away but Below The Line is another gritty, emotional, suspense filled and edgy read. I couldn’t and didn’t want to put it down, I was so into the story that I may have forgotten to make dinner. While I didn’t care if I skipped a meal, my family did and weren’t too happy when I said just one more chapter, which ended up being the entire book. This is another that needs to be on your TBR lists and one I recommend.
Chelsea Camaron is a mastermind when it comes to motorcycle club romances. Her books are always fast, sexy, intense, passionate, suspenseful, and always promise a thrilling ride that will leave your heart beating fast and your breathing accelerated.
The Devil's Due MC series quickly became a favorite of mine with book one but book two exploded into my life and hooked me from the start. Below the Line had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.... quickly flipping the pages, racing to get to the end.
Hadley and Owen "X" took my life by storm, surprising me with their story and stealing a piece of my heart along the way. Their journey was gritty, raw, and full of twists and turns. These two wedged themselves deep in me and took me on an unforgettable roller coaster journey packed with heart, heat and emotions.
I really enjoyed this MC series . I liked the idea of The Nomads, Devils Due MC, and their own brand of justice. The banter between these men is so funny. Owen, our hero, realizes his Hadley is still alive and goes on a search with his brothers to find her. After all the suffering these two go through, they finally find their HEA. I loved the pace of the book, non stop suspense and action. I have enjoyed each book Chelsea Camaron writes. Looking forward to the next
This book was incredibly hard to read, horrific moments that was horrible to read about. But the book also had a bright light with love and tenderness.
Hadley and Owen met when they were both living on the streets running away from troubled pasts. And they found comfort and love with each other. Two teenagers clinging to each other for safety and making their own little family Until one night when Owen woke up and Hadley was gone. All that was left was a bloodied blanket and when he checked at the hospital they said that she died.
Owen ran away and eventually joined the Devils Due nomad club! Each one of these 6 men have their own hell and their own stories to tell! Each waiting for the day when the devil will come collect his due
So Owen finally finds out Hadley is still alive and runs into her at Sonnie's tattoo shop but before he can get to her she's vanished. He will do anything to get her back. What happens is so much messed up drama that you will not believe it
I loved the characters in this story and what Hadley went through OMG will certainly break anyone but she is a strong character and kept fighting everything that happened.
X (Owen) did everything he could to make Hadley feel safe and protected. But he didn't know that he was also the one that needed protection
Awesome story, loved every minute of it. And loved the other characters in the book as well. I think Trapper is my favorite. But I would love to read Deacon's story! Quiet and full of wisdom one! Can't wait to read the next one!
I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.
Wow Holy smoke just finish reading the book and I love it. Have to say I love the first book in the series but I felt more in love with this one, I love the characters and love how the book turn out. I'm a big fan of Chelsea I love how she write and this series is turning out to be one of my favorites, I am goin to tried and keep this short since I don't want to give anything away. In the first book we met X and on the end of the first book we met Hadley this is their story.
Owen ( A.K.A.) X had a tough life growing up he witness his mother get killed after that he was put in foster care. He jump from one foster home to another until he decide to be on his own, he live on the street after few month of being on the street he met Hadley she was only fourteen years old, the only time that Hadley felt save was with X, after few month of spending the time together X was able to get a tent for them to sleep in but when they though that they where safe everything change in one night and X though that he lost Hadley for ever. Now years later X find Hadley but he notice that she is scared out of her mind. Will Hadley and X find the truth about what happen and will they be happy once again.
I love the way X is with Hadley love it how he will do everything for her. I love it how Hadley gone through hell and come back just to keep X safe, I love the chemistry that they both have for each other.
I really love and enjoy reading this book. Author Chelsea Camaron THAK YOU for introducing me this awesome characters and this amazing book love it.
4 intense stars!! This book is intense from start to finish, but I loved every turn of the page!
If you know Chelsea then you know you are going to usually get dark and twisted books. And trust me when I saw this book is no different. It touches on sensitive subjects so if this is something that bothers you… step away from this book! I had about a million different feelings running through me as I read this book, but I will say I loved every single page! Definitely worth the read if you love a good twisted MC book!

This is the second book in the Devils Due MC series about a group of nomad bikers who ride around getting revenge on people who’ve hurt them in the past and who get a second chance at love. This book focuses on Owen, aka X. He was physically abused as a child and saw his mother murdered, he is looking for his mothers killer and for his childhood friend, Hadley. He finally finds her only to learn she was forced into prostitution after she was kidnapped many years ago.
This story has a good plot and the chemistry betweeen the characters is good but for some reason I had trouble connecting with these characters on an emotional level. While there is definitely a backstory to Owen’s and Hadley’s lives, there is a kind of insta-connection between the two that doesn’t click for me at an emotional level. They hadn’t seen each other in over 10 years and particularly given their traumatic pasts, I would think it would take more time to rekindle their relationship. I wish more time would have been spent with them reconnecting as a couple. The deep mystery that was responsible for keeping them apart didn’t seem realistic, not because the plot was implausible but because that part of the story was rushed, which made it seem unbelievable.
I’m gonna try to read one more book in the series because I love the author’s work but if it doesn’t get better, I’m gonna call it a day with this series. This book isn’t bad, buts it’s not as good as some of her other series.
Chelsea Camaron is on yet another winner with this series
This is the second book in Ms Camaron's new MC Series, Devil's Due. Once agin she has exceeded my expectations in regards to her book/story. i loved her previous MC Series, Hellions Ride and this one is proving to be just as good, if not better.
This story is centered around Owen "X" Gallow and Hadley Combs and it is definitely is not one for the light hearted. This is dark, it's heart breaking, but it is also one that is filled with hope. As usual Owen has all the traits that I have come to expect from one of Ms Camaron's MC men. His is moody, protective, possessive, an alpha to the core and extremely loyal to those he considers his family.
Hadley and Owen were friends when they were younger, they were like family to each other. But when tragedy strikes and the two friends are separated, Hadley's life takes a turn for the worse and Owen ends up with the MC.eventually the two are reunited and it is then that their story really begins. Can the secrets of the past be told and then put aside? There are numerous twists and turns in this story that you won't want to put it down - you'll just want to read it right through in one sitting.
Once again Chelsea Camaron has given her readers a man they will love and a woman who is so strong. I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.

Below the Line is the second book in the Devil's Due series by Chelsea Camaron. Although troubling at times, it was an enjoyable read.
The Devil's Due MC was created by a small group of men with troubled pasts that are looking to right wrongs that haven't been resolved through normal legal channels. They are nomads staying no one place for long but roam where the next lead takes them.
Below the Line focuses on "X", aka Owen Maximus Gallow. He witnessed his mother's murder and vowed to avenge her. He was on the streets as a child and never forgot his childhood soulmate, Hadley, who had died.....or so he thought.
Hadley Lauryn Combs lived on the streets until she was fifteen when she was taken against her will. After a decade, she escaped her hell and was living on the run.
X and Hadley's paths crossed again and this time X vowed to protect her and never let her go. X was a hard man; however, I loved seeing the softness that was only exposed to Hadley. He had a vulnerability that was for Hadley alone.
Although dark, I liked the premise of the story. Additionally, Camaron kept the plot moving quickly with enough suspense and intrigue to keep it interesting. Throughout the storyline, Camaron continued to develop the Devil's Due characters, revealing a little more about what to expect from both Judge and Trapper's stories.
All in all, Below the Line was entertaining and enjoyable. It appears Judge will get his devil's due next.
This was a very fast paced, truly sad and quite disgusting read. (Referring to the heels in the book)
Its amazing how petty jealousy and cattiness can hurt so many people.
My favorite character, believe it or not was Hadley. She went through so much in her life, first by her stepfather, then living on the streets where she found some semblance of happiness with X, only to have it ripped from her in a most vile and vicious way. She was the definition of a true survivor because despite her horrendous situation she never gave up, she remained so strong and I give her mad kudos for that.
This was a bit repetitive with X constantly expressing his mistakes and all of the guys talking about the devil and shit. After a while reading the same feelings over and over again got boring. Outside of that it was pretty engaging and enjoyable.
Not sure whose book is next, Trapper or Judge but either way I look forward to them all.
Below The Line is the second book in the Devil´s Due MC series by Chelsea Camaron. Below The Line is Owen X Gallow and Hadley Combs´ book. Both had a bad childhood and youth. X is a orphan and streetkid, so as Hadley. Now he is a member of The Devil´s Due MC. Favorite Quote : " Family comes by blood and choice. " Both had unspeakable things to endure. Hadley is alone for forever. She´s a hooker and she gets by. But she´s in danger. Will she let Owen and he other men keep her safe? Below The Line is a very emotional read, my heart broke for these two lost souls. There is violence, twists and turns and scorching hot sex. I loved the characters, I loved how good they were together and as individuals. I loved the gruff alpha males and that they are not one of the typical MCs. I loved the other characters of the Devil´s Due MC and can´t wait till the next installment. I cried, I laughed and I suffered with the characters. 5 Stars and Thank you Chelsea Camaron.
I really did like this new book from one of my favorite go-to authors...but man, was it ever dark! I thought her book STAY was gut-wrenching and heartbreaking...but Below the Line makes that book look tame. I felt for these two kids from the first few pages when their tough luck and hard times on the streets was described...but what happens after was just terrible and sad and yet I always held up hope that something good would come from all the tragedy and abuse Owen and Hadley had to face. This Devil's Due MC series is nowhere near as sweet as The Hellions were, but there is a strong brotherhood bond and love...lots of serious romance and OMG hot sex between the two long lost loves. I would recommend for readers who are not squeamish about abuse and torture but like hardcore biker romances with a lot of action.
Chelsea's male leads always have the same few characteristics and I always appreciate that, which means Owen is possessive and protective, “I promise you with everything I have I’m gonna effin’ kill him.” I move my hand from the marks and settle back over her like before." To me he was lacking a little bit of the dominant trait but that's okay because when it came to Hadley you needed to handle her with care. I liked this book, geting to know the new characters and seeing them geow as each new book comes out in the series.
I was so excited that the second in this MC was out. I couldn't put it down and read it in a day. This story can be read as stand alone but I wouldn't recommend it. They are just too phenomenal to not read from the beginning. We get the mind-blowing tale of Owen and Hadley in this story. The author did a superb job of covering their pasts as the story unfolded. You didn't get it all at once which worked well in the flow of the novel. Each layer was peeled back divulging a new and heartbreaking course of events that I could have never expected the outcome. Don't worry it's a HEA but what a ride to get there. Owen - has been on his own for so long that the one good thing he thought was dead is now haunting him. The twisted series of events has him battling an unknown foe that will require him to bring the devil calling to the door for revenge and justice. Hadley - her light even in the darkness shines so brightly. She became a beacon for Owen, floating in a sea of danger and calling him to save her. I liked how the author had her battle the demons and scars of her life. She did so in a way that you didn't feel like it was rushed that she didn't just immediately bounce back. She fought and won the war against an adversary that was evil. This is an extremely suspenseful story and if you have triggers be warned. There is a lot of imagery and detail on the battle for Hadley and Owen's justice. That said it was marvelously done and I couldn't put this down. I'm excited for the third installment.
Owen saw Hadley in the tattoo parlor but she ran. He thought she had died when they were teens and his world is rocked. He has to find her. Hadley ran from Lauren but she has also been hiding from Owen. She cannot drag him back into her world.
The Devils Due MC series is pretty dark. They deal with sex trafficking, drug dealing, kidnapping, and many other dark topics. This book is no different. As a prostitute Hadley has been tortured, raped, branded and much worse. While the book doesn’t go into great detail of any of her experiences, it does show at least one of her being raped. I still am completely bothered by books that don’t have consent. It wasn’t graphic but still was present. I still continue to wish entertainment wouldn’t perpetuate the ideation of rape.
The story is ok. It moved very quickly not really focusing on how the information for the investigation is obtained. The story takes giant steps forward many times without clear connection between the plot points.
The characters are tragic and flawed but at times they still seem kind of flat.
dark emotional sad tense fast-paced Plot- or character-driven? Character Strong character development? Yes Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? No Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes 3.5 ⭐️
Audiobook (audible) - dark romance with mmc (Owen) trying to find the love of his life (Hadley) since she was taken from him 15 years ago. Forced into prostitution to protect Owen, she finally escapes and Owen finds her. Though her pimp Lorenzo is not giving up because his wife has plans for Hadley and Owen. With all that’s going on in this story it feels under developed and missing some events/details. A lot of the back story pieces are quick without a lot of lead up and lots of questions on how she stayed hidden for a year if both Owen and Marco were able to to find her so easily.

This book just didn't quite make a mark. The main characters were under-developed, and in an attempts to make them interesting with their sordid pasts, they were unbelievable and one-dimensional. The intensity of their feelings was portrayed in an immature way, and the plot was convoluted. There were jumps in the timeline that made the flow choppy. The whole story was intensely dark, but lacking the corresponding emotion that one would expect, as a result of such disturbing events. The other characters made the book interesting, particularly, Trapper...I look forward to his book.
I'm loving this series so far. My husband and I have had many conversations over the 28 years together of scenarios and outcomes of the course of our life if just one moment in time was changed. It's amazing how one action can cause a domino effect and I love how this series is highlighting this aspect of life many people don't even think about. So far this series, has everything I love, romance, suspense and great sex scenes. It's hard for me to find MC series that I like. Many of them tend to be extremely dark and violent. This had just enough of both of these, without going over the line I have. Everyone's line is different, but this one is perfect for me.
I loved the idea of The Nomads, Devils Due MC, and their own brand of justice. The banter between these men is so funny. Owen and Hadley had rough lives as teens, a sequence of events leads him to believe she is dead and leads him to bring a and Jonas with men who seek justice for the people they lost. After all the suffering these two go through, they finally find their HEA. I loved the pace of the book, non stop suspense and action. I'm looking forward to reading book 3.
And She's done it again, I voluntarily reviewed an Advance readers copy of this book, all I can say is it was brilliant, totally loved this story, and all the characters in it, once I started reading this, I couldn't put it down as each page had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going too happen next between Owen and Hadley, all in all this book deserves a 10/10 from me, looking forward to the next installment of The Devil's Due MC Series.
I just love the characters of the Devils Due series and Below the Line is no exception. These stories are not pretty, but the characters and their stories have kept me riveted and I want so badly for them all to have their happy endings so that the pain they carry is worth it in the end. The sacrifice that Hadley makes in order to save her one true love, Owen, is life altering and he doesn’t even know it. This is a must read to see how they battle the devil to get to their happiness.
What a horrendous life Hadley had always lived. Why she wasn't bat sh#t crazy I'll never understand. She was a strong girl who loved X deeply since she was 15. She bore unspeakable torture to protect X, turned out her torture was aimed to hurt X. A good series. I love those 6 brothers !!!!!!
You really feel for Owen and Hadley when their full story comes up. Both their pasts are so tragic but the found each other once and managed to find each other again. The story is sad but uplifting. Good book.
I liked this story of redemption and second chances. Family secrets revealed and bad guys get their due. I really like the author's writing style, I reading more of her books.
An excellent story, Chelsea really hit the nail on the head with this book, was excellently written with a very strong storyline and the whole book flowed really well, I'm really enjoying this series
The past has a way of catching up with you and your world turns upside down. This book is about love that was ripped away only to find its way back. It's an emotional journey
