My favourite volume so far! I binged it in just a couple of hours, which is rare for me.
I love Kido, she has always been one of my faves and still is, so getting lots from her POV as well as her backstory that I didn't know all that well, made me really happy. Even if her past was more messed up that I thought it was going to be, but it was still interesting.
I also love the way this volume used the flashback chapters with the present time, making the flashbacks relevant to the present-time plot the way it did with its last chapter. It's so intense! I had to order the next one immediately; I have been on this light novel journey for 4 years now in total, it's time to face its end, even if it will sadden me to do so too, naturally..

Changing point of views make this a more difficult read than part VI. Still it's nice to get Kido's backstory. This part also explains a lot about the Kagerou Daze and how it came to be.
The plot moves forward into the confrontation with the mastermind.
Franchisewise it ties in with
Song: Children Record.

This can get a little bit cheesy at times, but it’s always good fun—especially when you get those moments where you’re like, no way, I can’t believe that really just happened. Also my guy really knows how to write an afterword ha-ha, they’re always hilarious.

Some of the narrative wasn't very clear, but it was overall a very good book. We're close to the end now!
