This is the second in the 'Bad Boys of Football' series, and it was a very quick, hot, easy read that I knocked off in half a day. There were scorchingly hot sex scenes in this one--the H/H (sports agent Melissa and pro football player Dominic) literally couldn't keep their hands off each other! Put them in the same room together and there was instant fireworks. These two liked to have inventive sex in semi public places--often.
Even though they communicated just fine sexually, they never really just talked, or opened up to each other. Because both had pasts that made them a little fearful about opening up emotionally, they really had no idea that each wanted the same things out of life. So, after each time they came together, one or the other would back away, too afraid to put their emotions out there. This got a little frustrating for me--I was dying for them to admit how they felt about each other.
While the plot got a little predictable at times, and things got resolved pretty quickly at the end, it was still an enjoyable read for me. If you're looking for a quick, easy and very, very hot read about two mostly likable characters, then "Game For Seduction" should fill the bill.
Whew, I give Bella Andre serious props for having such sexy studs on the covers of her Bad Boys of Football series. The guys on the cover of Game For Anything and Game For Seduction are smoking hot!
I liked Game For Seduction, the second book in the contemporary/sports romance series, much better than Game For Anything. The male lead character, pro-football star wide receiver and former playboy Dominic “Dom/Dominator” DiMarco, is a good solid 10 on the sexy hunk/hero extraordinaire meter and the female protagonist, sports agent Melissa McKnight, is a smart, spitfire, down-to-earth heroine to root for. The romance between them sears the pages…they get-it-on anywhere and everywhere! The secondary male character, rookie football player bad-boy JP, was an absolute riot! His come-ons and one-liners had me laughing out loud. I hope he gets his own story if Andre continues with the series. Game For Seduction is a light, fluff, fun, sexy read!
Unfortunately there isn't much football action in this book either, but wow! if you're looking for a really HOT steamy romance - this one is for you :)
Melissa grew up with her dad as an Agent for the NFL - and the San Francisco Outlaws was his team. Since Melissa was a kid, her dad always invited the players and their wives, or girlfriends to their house for Christmas. Melissa usually stayed in her room, hiding out... that was until she was 17, when Dominic was drafted. She knew she was just a kid to him, but every time she saw him, she couldn't help the feelings that were there.
Fast forward to 10 years later, Working at her dad's agency as an assistance, she now surrounds herself with the beautiful football players. And Dominic was right there in the middle of it.
We start off at a photo shoot where she just got Dominic a million dollar contract with Levi's - When the model that was working with Dominic got a phone call from her boyfriend, and broke up with her. She had to leave to fix her makeup problem. The Photographer didn't want to wait much longer, so he asked Melissa to stand in with Dominic to get the lighting ready for when the model returned.
With her body pressed up against Dominic, she could hardly breathe. Just as the Photographer told him to kiss her neck, and bring her closer, the model appeared. As Melissa staggered away as Dominic held the model in the same position, that's when she realized Dominic will only see her as a kid. Even though she chased away her chubby belly for a harder curvy body.
After the shoot, Dominic gave her a ride back to the agency. Melissa was in high spirits, she had just earned her MBA and was convinced that her father was finally going to make her an Agent.
But when she got upstairs, and he told her that no one would take her seriously, because she was a girl, she got upset and stormed off. She was ready to quit her father's firm and work for an agency that would take her seriously.
Needing to get away, she remembered a bar called Barnum's that only the players were allowed to go into. She had heard enough to know about where it was, so she decided to scope out the players.
When she found the bar, the bouncer wasn't going to let her in. Members only. Well she made a lot of money for a lot of those players in there. she should be able to come in. When one of the guys vouched for her and she got in. Every eye on her as she walked in.
Dominic wasn't much of a drinker, but after the photo shoot today and finally get his hands on Melissa, he couldn't stop thinking of her. He needed to go unwind and get his head back in the game.
When he got to Barnum's, and saw Melissa there, drunk, he knew he had to get her out of there before the other players made their move. Throwing her over his shoulder and carrying her out. And she didn't protest at all.
Taking her to his house to sober her up. He knew she didn't drink without a reason, so he knew something had to have happened when she went to see her father.
One thing lead to another and well, let me tell you, when Dominic and Melissa get together - even in public, they have a hard time keeping their hands to themselves. They are all over each other, and neither one of them seems to be able to control themselves.
But the next day, when Melissa goes back to her father's office, he said he talked things over with her mom, and decided to give her a chance. She is not an official Agency for one JP Jesse - a really big screw up of a player who had no reason to be on the professional football field. But needed a team to sign him. And now it was up to Melissa not to screw up.
This was a pretty quick read - I really liked the ending of this book, a lot :)
Game for Seduction was a fast-paced, very steamy sports romance. This book was the second about the Outlaws football team, and I liked it much better than the first, Game for Anything. I felt more empathy for the characters in this book because they were much more likeable than the hero and heroine in the previous one. The hero in this book, Dominic DiMarco, is a talented, normally straitlaced football player who still feels guilt over his poor choices as a teenager that his adoring public knows nothing about. Melissa McKnight, the heroine, is an intelligent woman who has been in love with Dominic for years, but believes he is way out of her league. I enjoyed reading the story of these two characters, and I would love to see this series continue.
Melissa McKnight has been an associate in her father's sports agency for five years, has earned her MBA, and has negotiated some great contracts for clients. She believes that it is time for a promotion to agent, but her father laughs off her dreams, saying she is a "cream puff" and wouldn't be accepted by the players. Melissa is distraught after realizing that her father never intended for her to be anything more in his agency, and she goes to a bar that the sports stars frequent. Dominic DiMarco finds a tipsy Melissa in the bar full of men and he decides to take her home before any of them take advantage of her. He is a client of her father's, and he is very attracted to Melissa, but believes that she is strictly off-limits due to the business association. Melissa has been in love with Dominic for years, and she is elated when he takes her to his house for coffee, finds himself unable to resist the attraction between them, and makes love to her all night. Her hopes are crushed in the morning when Dominic lets her know that he thinks what happened was a mistake. Melissa brightens a bit when her father lets her represent a client of her own. Her new client is a troubled bad boy, and it will not be easy to secure a contract for him. Dominic comes to Melissa telling her that he wants to her to be his agent, and she feels that he is trying to control her. She is hurt and angry with him, but when the two are thrown together constantly, they are unable to resist the physical attraction they feel. The two have frantically passionate encounters in several almost public places where they risk discovery. Unable to stay away from one another, Dominic doesn't admit his feelings for Melissa until a time when she is very upset with him. She doesn't trust that he really cares about her and doesn't believe they can have a future together. Dominic must work to convince Melissa that his feelings for her are genuine, and that they can be happy together. He must also make decisions about his professional future and finally confront and admit his troubled past. While this is happening, he steps in and trains Melissa's troubled client so that her career will have a successful start.
I enjoyed this very quick and easy to read book. I liked the characters, and the sports themed story. This was a very erotic book with quite a few extremely passionate scenes. The only issue I had with the book was that I really didn't understand what kept Melissa from accepting Dominic's feelings when he told her he loved her. I couldn't see where all the angst she felt over their relationship was coming from when she had loved and dreamed about him for years. In spite of this, reading Game for Seduction was definitely worthwhile.
My Review: I loved this book. A great example of two people who think that they can't be together, but simply can't stay away from each other. Melissa has had a crush on Dominic ever since she was 17 years old. Dominic has lusted after Melissa for years. One passion-filled evening quickly leads them down a path where they cannot keep their hands off each other.
I loved Melissa's character. She's so tough and ballsy. Her heart may be breaking, but she never lets it show. She has been raised in a man's world and has learned how to hide everything under a professionally facade at all times. I loved watching her hold her head high and pull out that persona- this is a gal that never cracks and you have to admire that.
Dominic is America's sweetheart. A really all-around nice guy that hasn't been spoiled by all of his fortune and fame. He respects Melissa and what she is trying to build. His protective instincts around her are phenomenal. Sensitive, sweet, and sexy- you gotta love those qualities in a guy. Some of my favorite scenes of his in this book were with Ty and TJ- he's a pro athlete, but willing to share with the next guy to help- no macho competition here.
This is a great sensual read. Now I definitely need to search out the other 2 in this series... This was #2 out of 3.... Not because I need them for more of the story, but simply because this one was so enjoyable- I want and NEED more!
Oh My Lord!! This novel was definitely beyond my expectations, especially since it ONLY took me TWO DAYS to read it. Most of the erotic novels I've read thus far have just been foreplay, compared to this one written by Ms. Andre.
This was my first novel by her, and most definitely won't be my last one. When Ms. Andre described in full detail the numerous sexcapades Dominic and Melissa shared, I felt as though I was committing voyeurism, being in the same room, vehicle, or any public location known to man, about to participate alongside with them. The match was lit and it NEVER SIZZLED AWAY!
It was IMMENSELY GRATIFYING { >;o)~~~ My Mischievously, Wicked Grin}
There was NO way this novel was typical or predictable, especially since normally it takes the hero/alpha male to realize half way through the book, what kind of HELLCAT he has between the sheets, and who has complete possession over his heart. NOT from the first time he touches her!
Dominic had a way to move heaven and earth to keep Melissa hanging on, whatever it took, he would ultimately fight hell or whomever stood in his way, to make her, HIS!
I'm looking forward to "Game for Love," the next installment to "The Bad Boys of Football" Series.
WELL DONE MS. ANDRE, THIS NOVEL DESERVES WELL BEYOND A 10 STAR RATING!!
Melissa McKnight works for her father, who is a very successful sports agent. Her dream is to be an agent herself, but her father doesn’t think she is good enough to be one. Yup, he is one of those parents who treats his child like crap. But Melissa wants to prove her father wrong. One of the McKnight Sports Agency’s biggest clients is the wide receiver of the San Francisco Outlaws, Dominic DiMarco. Dominic is a really great guy who doesn’t drink, party hard or sleep around. And ever since Melissa has been seventeen years old, she has been crushing after Dominic. But Melissa feels Dominic doesn’t even know she exists. How wrong she is.
Dominic wants Melissa, and badly, but since they work together and are professionals, he has this hands off rule. But it is getting much harder for him to not act on his desire for the lovely Melissa. And when Melissa tries to take on a new client all by herself, who is pretty much the ultimate bad boy of the NFL, Dominic takes it upon himself to watch over Melissa. Dominic is a tad jealous because he thinks Melissa will fall for this new upcoming star. So, he in turn offers himself as a client to Melissa. Of course he wants whole lot more where Melissa is concerned.
This is the only second book I have ever read by Bella Andre and it was one sexy, almost borderline erotic read. I absolutely love those stories where the heroine thinks she is not good enough for the handsome to die for hero. Dominic has these great set of morals, mainly because of something that happened to him when he was a teen. But when it comes to sex and with the one woman he wants, well, those self imposed rules he has placed upon himself are meant to be broken.
Game For Seduction is a pretty fast read with a romance that I really did enjoy.
This was a pretty good story with a little bit of internal growth on the part of the protagonists. Those who are football fans like me may find the setting enhances the story enough to overcome the mediocre love story. The heroine lets her libido overcome her good sense (if she has any) and is darned lucky she works for daddy or her actions would have put her career in the toilet. I wish the author had the skill to do better with this excellent story line.
The sex scenes are almost enough to make up for the rest...plentiful and steamy as all get out.
Very sexy Sports Romance. Loved the hero, sort of an abrupt ending that was wrap a little quickly, but I still thought it was a great read for the second time.
My first Bella Andre book - where have I been. I had no idea. She writes some steamy stuff! This was pretty good - fast paced, sexy - and a good story. I will be reading some more of her!
Oh My Gosh!!! I totally loved this book and wished I was Melissa!!! Dominic was one of the best male leads I can remember reading about. He was what ther female population wishes for---as close to perfect as can be, but still a real man with faults but seems to learn from his mistakes. And what can I say about Melissa--loved her too, but wish she was more vocal about what she wanted from Dominic....but then that probably would not have made for such a good story!!! Love the jealousy!! hahahaha.
This was my first athletic/erotica/romance, so I can honestly say I am gonna go back and read book one and look for more from this author!!
No no no! I'm just going to bang my head on my desk now... Repeatedly! I am so disappointed in this author's female leads. Ugh maybe I'm just too pissed off that these women have been given jobs by the author where "image" is so important yet they keep taking risks like having sex in public multiple times. Yeah, it's hot but you're shooting your character's credibility straight out the window and I spend the whole book pissed off instead of enjoying the fun! Once, in the heat of the moment, maybe, but come on!
I had to stop about 100 pages in because this was like softcare erotica. 95% of the story was about the two main characters having sex and 5% was actual substance. The writing was pretty cheesy and bad, and the constant ripping off of clothes was annoying, to say the least.
I really enjoyed this book, so much that I whipped right through it! One Hot, Sexy Football player and tons of hot sex and a very sweet love story!! My idea of the perfect book!! :)
I gave this a 4* the first time I read it, but I'm really not sure why. Perhaps I was just younger and was wanting something different from the books I read than I do now, but after reading at this time I would give it a two maybe a three for certain parts. The story was much more about their lust than them actually falling in love. I found it to be more annoying than believable how he kicked her to the curb and then suddenly wanted her; denied any feelings for her and then suddenly he loved her. It was also kind of annoying how she loves him but refuses to accept what he says when he says he loves her. I also didn't like her relationship with her father. Maybe I'm just incredibly blessed in my relationship with my father and so am naive, but I found their relationship to be disfunctional and emotionally abusive.
I really loved this book and devoured it in a day. Melissa has always had a crush on Dominic. I felt for her as she’s had some issues with her Dad. She works for him and now is acting agent for J.P. and Dominic. But once she and Dominic kids, their chemistry is off the charts. Loved how quickly he becomes so obsessed with her. They are so hot. I really loved their happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.
Great love story! Characters were so interesting and personal. Story line was interesting. I enjoyed the crazy romantic moments! Super sizzling 🥵 book! Thanks
Melissa McKnight has lusted after Dominic DiMarco since she was a teenager and he was a rookie in the NFL. Her father signs Dominic as a client, and Dominic makes the company a ton of money. Over the years Melissa grows up and becomes an agent in her own right, but still she lusts after Dominic. Never will she mix business with pleasure, or she thinks she won't. But when her father won't give her a promotion to agent, she goes out drinking and ends up straight into Dominic's arms for the night.
Dominic DiMarco walks a straight and narrow line of being the good boy with a handsome body and face. But behind all that glorious good looks, lies a secret he has been hiding his entire career. He won't let those demons die and carries them with him always. When he falls into bed with Melissa, he is convinced they cannot have anything more than friendship and at best her being his agent. He pushes her away, but he can't stay away.
This book is beyond haut! And if I thought the first book had a lot of sex, this one had a large amount of public sex that both characters keeps thinking is the last time. If caught it could ruin both of their careers. When Melissa's father gives her one chance to make an impossible deal, Melissa tries hard to keep her relationship with Dominic a professional one, but neither can resist the other one.
The plot isn't complicated. A couple who has denied their attraction for years, suddenly fall into bed with each other and finally in love with each other. They must overcome the stigmas of their life and get past their problems with the public eye. There is the side story of Dom's secret, which is tragic, but really everyone has moved on except for him. On top of that, Melissa is fighting for a career in a man's world and you feel like punching her father for the twists he throws her way. She put up with it a lot longer than I ever would have.
So if you are looking for a fun, quick read, then this is a good book to read. You don't need to have read the first book in the series. While you see those characters, their part in the book is small and bears no importance on this plot.

Game for Seduction is the second book from the Trilogy(Bad Boys of Football) by Bella Andre. She’s one of my favorites sport romance writer. And she delivers again another hot and well-written story. And it made me look for other sports-themed romance series/books.
Melissa McKnight works for her father, an extremely successful sports agent. She wanted to be an agent, just like her Dad. But her father believes that she wouldn't make it. So she’s hell-bent on proving her father wrong. And she was shocked when she learned that Dominic would be her first client. She’s been infatuated with him ever since she was a teenager. But didn't do anything because she believed that she was out of his league and because he was her father’s client.
Dominic DiMarco is the sexy and hot wide receiver of the San Francisco Outlaws and one of the McKnight Sports Agency’s biggest clients. He’s a perfect guy. He doesn’t go out drinking, partying, or sleeping around. He rather spends his free time cooking or staying at home. He was also involved in some charity. He was also smitten with her.
I imagined Dominic looking like him. *SIGH*
It was a past-faced story, and I totally enjoyed the growing romance between the two characters. I love how good they were as a team. Plus there’s a lot of hot sex in public. Yes, in public.
Dominic is such a keeper kind of guy. He was adorably cute when he was jealous. And he’s so damn sweet. I wonder where I can find someone like him. And as for Melissa, I admired her. I liked how brave and determined she was to stand up on her own/for herself. And I envy her for having someone like Dominic.
And even though there isn't much football action in this book, I still enjoyed it. And will probably reread it.
If you are looking for hot steamy sex, sports theme romance, football them, or just simply looking for a quick, fun, and enjoyable read, Game for Seduction is the one.
