Putting on that badge every day is done with pride. Being the jurisdiction of the law, holding one's self to a higher standard. Especially when you're saving innocent lives. At least that's what Stark Fisher believed, but what happens when you can't save them all?

Life is a precious gift.

Lives are meant for greatness. Walking the line between good and evil isn't an easy task. When you're put into positions that most people would flee from. You learn more about about yourself than you could ever imagine.

For Stark, life is about to take an unexpected turn and the only thing that can save him is God's grace.

I love the author's other books but was skeptical going into this one because the subject matter is such a raw, emotional, almost unspoke of, subject. I went in with an open mind & heart & wow! This book surprised me in a good way. Mrs. Lanclos took a subject that is raw & relevant to so many & brought light to it in a way that showcased the good, the bad & the ugly of law enforcement. It's a very scary, yet rewarding job and the author relays that brilliantly. She shows the emotion on both sides of the fence and what the families of other sides go through. I don't know if it could've been portrayed any better & in such an informative, yet dignified way.

Along with this touchy subject, the author also incorporated a great story with Stark & his family. The struggles they endure is heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same time. The drive & compassion that this man has is amazing & comforting.

Inspirational, realism, emotional and profoundly uplifting is the words I would describe Amanda Lanclos Christian romance. This storyline is literally taken from today's headlines and gives you an insight into how the boys in Blue feel and react to situations they must come across.

Stark, a cop with a wife (Piper), one child (Lizzie) and one on the way is doing his normal police routine for the evening, when he gets a call that will change his life forever and must a split second choice. A choice of life and death is made and now the consequences are being felt community wide.

As Stark and his family must deal with the outcome of his choice, he goes through excruciating pain within himself and decides to turn away from those he loves, including God.

Will Stark find the forgiveness he seeks or continue on a destructive path?

The raw emotions he goes through will tear your heart out, but you are uplifted by the good in people that stand by him. Amanda's writes with such emotion that you feel the anguish that each character goes through, along with the community.

Love, hate, and forgiveness are wrapped up in one fabulous story and I highly recommend this book that enjoys a Christian romance.

What a truly amazing read from Amanda Lanclos it was so inspirational I laughed and cried my way through it. It deals with real life issues that our world has to deal with but there are no sides taken in this story you see the reactions from both sides of the coin.

Stark Fisher is a Police Officer but first and foremost he's a family man. Whilst in the line of duty he's forced to make a choice that will force him to turn his back on God and his family and friends. He finds himself in a dark place and feels there's no way out. If only he could find his way back to God, and back into the loving arms of his family.

Don't be afraid to take a chance on this book it's definitely one you won't be disappointed with.

**4.5 Stilettos**

Stark Fisher is a man of integrity and honesty. Armed with his badge, his gun and his faith, he finds great pride in his conviction to protect those that cannot protect themselves. However one fateful night, one chance encounter, one thoughtless decision, challenges Stark and all the beliefs that he has prided himself in upholding. Can he find the strength and faith to carry on, or will he let one careless accident of chance destroy him forever?

This is the first Christian based book that I have read in a very long time and I must say that I really enjoyed it. Stark Fisher was unabashedly proud of his love for God and he was unapologetic in basing his core values that defined him as a husband, a father, and friend on that love. That is a rare trait to find in a book’s hero these days, and the author did a superb job of bringing this quality to life is his character without coming across as pushy or overbearing.

Saved by Grace deals with some of the most delicate subject matter gracing today’s headlines, but it is very real and honest. The story was presented in an unbiased and non-judgmental way that provides the reader with both sides of a fragile topic and digs down deep to the heart of the subject. The reader will walk away seeing both points of view and a feeling of peace and equality that will make even the hardest of hearts realize that there is hope and love to be had in any situation. Sometimes you may have to search a little harder for it than others, but it is always there and as long as you hold on strong to your devotion and beliefs, everything will work out in the end.

I’m not one to give away the book so feel free in reading this review in confidence. I absolutely enjoyed this book for a couple of reasons. First, it plays to what’s going on in the world today. Amanda is not one sided and gives the view points from all aspects making the story very impelling. Two, I adored Stark and his family. I have a close friend whose husband is a police officer and they have children. Amanda had an uncanny way of bringing this family to life for me. When the characters feel real so does the story, and this is what excited me most.

The main character has a very passionate side. He cares and in today’s society I don’t think enough of us feel or see this emotion. His wife is just as genuine and supports Stark in every aspect. I was able to laugh, cry, and hurt for all involved. Give this book a chance. You will love the story.
