Someday YOUR little girl may want to grow up to be Santa Claus (I mean Santina Claus)... as she runs the North Pole Empire and drives a sleigh full of toys around the world on Christmas Eve.
“Inspiring Little Girls;” it’s this idea that makes the new female Santa consider giving an interview to Modern Women’s World Magazine in spite of the fact that dear old dad, the retired Santa, is adamantly against it.
Santina trusts her own judgment just as she almost always does. She’s a great manager, a good leader, a practical businesswoman, a sympathetic friend, and of course, deeply in love.
There’s a whole lot going on in this third volume of D. Thrush’s clever, touching and dramatic Christmas Romance. Tina (as she likes to be called) is working hard to maintain her relationship with George, the guitarist in Black Ice, her brother Nick’s rock band. Meanwhile, everyone’s paying a lot more attention to Nick. Why didn’t he want to take on the role of Santa that his father groomed him for? Why are his songs filled with such anger and anti-Christmas sentiment? And how does Nick really feel about sexy, teasing Isabella the lead singer of Rock Goddess, who is hot to stage all kinds of romantic publicity shots with him, but when the cameras turn away, she turns cold? What’s that all about?
These are characters that feel as real as people we know, as familiar as the North Pole is magical and fabulous. We care a lot about everyone and feel very threatened when that hard-boiled reporter decides to do an expose on Santa, the North Pole, and the fact that a woman has taken over the reins of Christmas. What’s she really up to, and will it all come back to haunt our new Santa and ruin our great Holiday?

Another winner from the Santina Stable (it’s a reindeer stable, of course). This is the third instalment in the series, and is altogether a calmer read. Gone is the familial conflict of the first two books as, although Nick junior and his dad are still at odds on the meaning of Christmas and Lisa and her elf boyfriend still have their moments, Santina is in a good place. Her father and uncle have made up, and even cousin Kris, sulky and sycophantic as he remains, seems to cause trouble by accident rather than design. Life is not as simple as it should be though – could a journalist be about to blow the secret Santa and cause hordes of tourist to head off to the North Pole?
This is a very easy, feel good read, based on the wonderful premise that Santa and the fairy tale of Christmas are real, with all the challenges of modern-life that we all face. For that reason, I prefer the parts of the book that are set in the North Pole, where the real magic lives. This is a book for anybody, but although it would seem to me to be aimed primarily at an adult audience, I found myself thinking on several occasions that it would be a fantastic book for what we now term ‘young adults’ – not least because of the empowerment of the strong female character. You can throw romantic comedy and chick-lit at this, but it can be read by anybody who likes a modern-day fairy tale.

This 3rd installment was fast paced and really honed in on relationships. The marriage came up quickly and it seemed to only have a few weeks of engagement. I could never pull off having all the wedding plans made in that short of time. Glad there is one more book because I have questions that need answered .

I do not usually leave a review on the 'middle' books in a series -- I try to review the first and last books but only note the middle volumes if they are spectacularly good or bad. So I had not planned to leave a review on this particular book which is book #3 in a four book series; but I rated this as five stars instead of the four star rating I left on books one and two. I cannot quite put my finger on the reason, but this book impressed me more than the first two: improved writing style/grammar made for improved reading; and the plot was more interesting and integrated. Kudos to the author!! Full 5 star rating!

Third in the series and I'm addicted to them. Only one left. Finished the first 3 in 3 days! Great characters whom I love and very funny and sarcastic story. Is Santa real? Or is it Santina? Why did we all stop believing when the whole Santa Claus thing is real? Or could be off we wanted it to be. Will hate to see this series end. Ok, on to #4!

This series was an amazing series. I read these just before Christmas and I felt like a kid again. Tina is a dynamic, strong, creative, problem solving, young woman. She finally won her dad’s approval, married the love of her life and has the North Pole humming along.

What a fun series! Santini Claus has just completed her second year as Santa and is relaxing with parents
in Florida before flying to Boston to meet her boyfriend and his family. She is getting messages on her phone from an unknown person she has ignored but the calls persist and she finally answers it and finds out it’s a journalist who knows who she is. The question is who told her! The journalist says she’ll publish the article with or without her permission so she’s in a quandary.
As things develop her boyfriend George asks her to marry him and she accepts and they still have to contend with the long distance problem of her being at the North Pole and him being on tour with her brother’s rock band. On her wedding day who shows up but the journalist whose been calling her and the person who “outed” her is also revealed.
Tina reluctantly grants the interview when the reporter shows up at the North Pole. Then her husband and parents show up as well for an extended visit through Christmas.
There are interpersonal relationships discussed between Tina and George; Lisa and Walter and Nick
and Isabella mainly as they are the main characters in the book. It’s just a great story of a young woman who has been given the responsibility to be Santa Claus by default initially but grows to enjoy it and then finds it’s her right by what was originally intended all along!
You really should read this entire series though to truly enjoy this series! I would suggest the prequel
The Secret Santa first and then the Santini series in order. There are only four of them so they’ll go quickly and it’s a fun read that you’ll really enjoy!
I have enjoyed this series and highly recommended it
to one and all! I love the magic of the season and the
ambience of the North Pole makes me wish I was there permanently myself!

Book Three follows the story of the new Santa and the rest of the Claus family. Santa has to deal with a long distance relationship, family expectations, and how to keep the Santa secret. I like Tina and I enjoyed the story. However, so far in the three Santina books, I don't like the Claus men. In the prequel I liked Santina's father, but he seems to have changed since he became Santa and has become older.

Getting together
As more of Nick's band mates seem to be finding love, he's struggling with his feelings for Isabelle. Meanwhile, Santina and George find their way to each other, but it's not smooth sailing. And a reporter has learned about her and wants an interview. Great plots and character development.
