The moment Brookyln Walsh walked into my office i wanted her. No scratch that, I wanted to f**k her
And that right here people is basically how every fairy tale starts; with man and a woman who in the words of Queen B, has a" Bomb ass p***y".
For the most part i feel reviewing this kind of books is a waste of time, kinda like reviewing Harlequin books. Yes there are a few that blow your mind but most of them are just okay. not great not bad. just right there.
I can say the only thing in this book that really made me raise my eyebrow was the part where the author felt the need to tell us the female lead loved food. she says "I love food. Probably more than i should. Especially the wrong kinds".
At this point i'm like
how does this even help the story?
Probably would have skipped this, but last year there was this blow out about the cover of Alexa Riley's Stealing Christmas because the cover model wasn't skinny. I remember thinking, well that's a stupid thing to complain about but also that smutty novella authors seemed to have this need to make female leads hate anything to do with being healthy. The male leads would have hard rock pecs and probably a gazillion abs, they'd be someone you most definitely would see on the cover of Men's Health but somehow female leads would hate exercising and eating healthy food?? why? Why can't she love both? Why can't she like eating chocolate cake and also the occasional i dunno, wheat pasta or rabbit food salad. Why can't she think her health is important? Why do they have to make it feel like the female lead just wants to stuff herself with unhealthy food every freaking time? Because like it or not the things you eat does matter, especially as you get older.
We obviously all have different body shapes, weights and whatever weight or shape you are, trust me you're perfect but you'll be doing yourself a great disservice if you don't at least try to balance out your lifestyle with a couple of healthy choices.
