The Bound Series, Book 3, (Heated Shifter Romance Serial, not a standalone, the story carries on throughout the series so needs to be read in order).
Balin Matthews has found his mate, Lana Rawlings. Unfortunately, due to her past, and their unfortunate meeting in a lap bar, Lana is not best pleased with the mate fate has sent her.
Lara, Lana’s mother is back from the dead and against the pairing, so Balin is going to have to work extra hard to win over not just his mate, but also his future mother-in-law. A situation not helped when he has a Nymph, stalking, and determined to seduce him.
Things turn deadly when Maisie, the black witch, ups the stakes. Still pulling Davion, Lana’s, father’s strings, she hatches a plot to kidnap Balin to use as a bargaining chip.
Can Jaden and the other immortals reach him in time, or will there be fire in the moon, when the Phoenix let loose their inner talents?
Another exciting installment in the Bound Series. Fire in the Moon features the whole clan/pack of immortals living in Lunaton, but this book is based around Balin and the beginning of a relationship between him and Lana - all be it a bit fraught!
This group of immoratals are addictive and you will want to read one after the other. Balin goes through a lot in the book and its difficult reading at time.
There is no HEA in this book, we will hopefully get that in book 4.
Yet another fast paced tale set in Lunaton, where not all is as it seems! No time to take a breath, we plunge straight back in where we left off in Bound by the Moon as Balin finally tracks down his mate only to discover she's a pole dancer, being leered at by salivating humans. Lana is not best pleased that this so called mate is more grouchy shifter than dashing suitor who is seemingly more interested in a redheaded nymph than her (cue, first of many, irate mind-link exchanges) their meeting made worse by the fact Lana's family have serious issues with cat shifters.
To be fair, they both got a shock and their reactions were...errr...less than considered, but lives are at stake here and Balin only wants to protect his mate. Lana doesn't believe she needs protecting so their bickering continues, going from funny to serious to heartbreaking and back to funny as hints of their lives unfold through their telepathic communications. Unfortunately time is running out - the witch Maisie is still hunting Maya and Lana and the danger intensifies. By the time Lana realises how much she cares for Balin, it might be too late.
What I love about these books is that with each one we get to meet more of the paranormal community of Lunaton as well as delving further into the lives of those we've already come to know. In Fire in the Moon, healing becomes vital and the amount of research JF Holland has done regarding ancient healing and mystical rites is astonishing. I was fascinated by the level of detail, which doesn't detract from the main thread of the story, merely adds another layer to it.
As with the previous two, I could not put this book down - the lives, loves and losses of the inhabitants of Lunaton have become my latest addiction! Five stars
The group is back and Balin has found his mate but he didn't expect her to be dancing in a bar almost naked. When she tells him to back off her goes to the bar for a drink and flirts with a Nymph but he doesn't know it ,but because he has found his mate he doesn't take her up on her offers. Lana his mate doesn't take kindly to him starting to strip and tells him so but before they can discuss her mother Lara is back. Lara is afraid the Balin is like her husband who tried to kill them and forbids them to see each other but they manage to at some point. When the Nymph convinces Lana she is going to win Lana takes off but the group decide to let Lana cool off before they let Balin see her. Trouble with that is now Balin is missing and they can't seem to find him and they know Maisie has him. This story ends in a cliffhanger because I need to know what happened to all of them! The author was nice to give me this for free and I have chosen to review it.
This book lets us dive into Balin’s story. His mate is Lana and she doesn’t want to believe it. She fights him on every move and it doesn’t help that her mother hates him. When things take a turn for the worse, Lana finally sees the good in him and she wonders if it is too late. The fight with Maisie still ensues but with Helena and the rest of the gang, they hopefully can finally end her reign of terror. Luc and Sophia, “sign”, make my heart melt. Another great read for this series. You will not want to put this one down.

OMGosh!!! Believe me this book will definitely grab your attention at the beginning. Balin sees his soon-to-be mate pole dancing and he is furious with her and her sassy mouth attitude. A nymph is trying to gain his attention. Somewhat tipsy, Balin is coached into dancing on stage which infuriates Lana that he is dancing for the nymph. Bumping and grinding. How far will the nymph go in order to make Balin hers? The evil witch Maise is still trying to harm Maya and Lana. Will she suceed or will someone else be caught in her crossfire? This story will definitely captivate you from the beginning with it twists and turns in this action packed, mystery, humour and suspense with witches, phoenix and all types of shifters. The author will not let you down with this series!! You will feel so in touch with these amazing characters. Can't wait for the fourth book of this incredible series!! It touched my heart as I read the dedication to this book was for a loss of a fan. The Bound Series Moon Sworn, Book 1 Bound by the Moon, Book 2 Fire in the Moon, Book 3
First of the dedication at the beginning of the book for a fan that sadly passed away was beautiful.. Now book 3 in the Bound series is mostly from Balins and Lana's POV and holy black Jaguars those two are feisty..This is my favorite in the series so far so much adventure and excitement I honestly couldn't put it down..The only bad thing about this book is that it ended far to soon..
I hadn't read the other two in the series when i read this book but even so it didn't make much difference. I was not left disappointed in the slightest. brilliantly written will definitely recommend to others readers go check it out now of you havent already
