Genre: Informational
Grade level: K-2
Plot: The text mainly talks about fireworks. It also briefly touches on the Fourth of July and how our country came to be.

This text has interesting facts about all things having to do with the Fourth of July. It also talks about firework safety and the origin of fireworks. The language in the text is easy to understand and there is a dictionary in the back to help with challenging words that come up. I would have this book in my class because it is easy to understand but I don't think I would use it as a class history text. This text has a lot of opinions and I would want a text that is more objective and informative about the history of the United States.

Seriously underwhelmed. For having the word 'fireworks' on the cover, there were only about five photos of fireworks in the entire book. Disappointingly meh.
