Like I said in my previous reviews of this series, I'm loving Flora Ferrari's stories. Short, light insta-love stories.

The story is about Liam and Emma.

She took a nap while her boyfriend was partying at her place and when she woke up, the place was on fire because of her careless boyfriend who later on dumped her.

Liam's a firefighter and he risked his life and his job to save her. 

He's her best friend's dad and he didn't know it at first because they didn't see each other since she was a kid.

I liked that they didn't let anyone or anything stopped them from being together.

It has an epilogue. She's pregnant. And an extended epilogue. Married with a newly born baby.

OW/OM drama: She has a boyfriend at the beginning but he dumped her when she's not even awake at the hospital after the fire. He didn't cause any drama. But his ex-wife caused some drama. She showed up at the bar where he and his friends were. She wanted him back but he's not interested. She also showed up at his house and jumped in his arms as soon as she found out he can go back to work. He set her down right away. She showed herself in when he was distracted. His daughter came too to celebrate and she was hugging her dad. That's when she showed herself in. She saw Emma and attacked her. Liam pulled her off Emma and confronted her. He kicked her out of his house.
Sex scene with OW/OM: None

Virgin/Celibate/Manwhore: She's a virgin. He said he has not met anyone he's interested in so I assumed he's celibate for a long time.
Condoms: No condom used. I'm not sure if he used condoms with his ex-wife though. Maybe, because it looked like the pregnancy was not planned.

Short insta lust to love read.Enjoyable series so far with older man/ younger woman trope which is a favorite of mine.Hero is a fireman who also happens to be the father of the heroine's bff.Hero saves heroine from burning building and soon they are burning up the sheets.Sweet epilogue with them as a couple with the soon to be product of their burning loins.

Hot!!
Emma didn't expect her boyfriend to burn her apartment down and didn't expect a hot fireman to save her. After being burn on her arms that same boyfriend broke up with her, the only thing left to do is thanking the firemen that rescued her. Liam is stuck in paperwork duty until they decided that running into the building was a good move. Once meeting Emma he is surprised how hot she is but the only thing that might be an issue is that she is his daughter's best friend. After having a great night together they aren't sure how things will progress but they are willing to try. When all comes crashing down Liam stands beside Emma and fights for their love.
I've read other books that the daughter got in the way of their love which is understandable but not this one she was supportive and happy her father is finally happy. Great short story.

These older ones in the series are just as good as the newer ones. In this one we have Liam and Emma. They meet while he rescues her from a burning building or so they thought they it was the first time. Comes to find out he is her best friend's father. I was happy that her friend handled everything well and I was happy they got their HEA.

When Emma barely heard something she pulls her ear buds out and heard fire.She opens the door to her room and smoke and flames so she shuts the door were towels and puts them at the bottom of the door and covers her nose and mouth to help with the smoke.She looks out the window and heard her so called boyfriend friends say Emma is still in there.He says the fire department will be here soon.She sees the trucks pull up when a fireman starts running toward the building when someone tackles him and he's fighting his way loose then her door busts open but she's feeling sleepy when he says hang on and jump in the raised place out up so if you jump you will be ok.When she wakes up in the hospital her boyfriend finds out her arms are seventy percent burnt he breaks up with her.Her best friend Jennifer and her boyfriend show up an he offers to introduce her to his friends.After she gets out she looks up news about the fire.She's upset because it says the fire fighter that rescued her is in trouble for not following orders.She decides to go thank him.But a young fire fighter tells her the other fire fighters are upset and it's best she doesn't come back but if she really wants to thank him he will be at the coffee shop across the street in a while.So Emma waits to tell Liam that hescherchero.When she sees him she can't help but notice how handsome he is and his body is so many muscles.But he's also her best friends father.Liam asks her to set down.He asks if she has a boyfriend an she tells him he broke up with her because of the burns.Liam gets mad but tells her his lose is his gain.When he tells her he wants her to be his she asks what about Jennifer that they are best friends.He tells her he'll talk to Jen but they are both adults and if she's interested that's all that matters.Will his ex wife make trouble?Will Jen accept that her father and best friend are in love?I love the way this author brings the characters to life before your eyes and it's like you feel their emotions.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Emma Jones and Liam Logan. Emma is just a college girl who wants to get through exams and finish school. Little did she realize the guy she met, started dating and later let move in with her is a serial school person. Not only does he not want to leave school but he also wants to party non stop. This is fine until one night he sets the apartment on fire and leaves her inside when they all run out. Luckily Liam comes to her rescue and gets her out of the apartment. Emma is both relieved and pissed that her boyfriend dumps her while she is in the hospital recovering. So when she goes to thank Liam for saving her she finds out what type of trouble he is in. Liam takes one look at the girl he saved and can't believe how beautiful she is. He couldn't get a good look at her through all the smoke. When he learns who she is he knows he should stay away but there is something about her. Can they find a HEA together or will the fire and the possible loss of his job be more than they can take?

This is an amazing story. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Liam goes into a burning building against orders and saves the young woman. He ends up on leave while they investigate, When Emma wakes up in the hospital its to her boyfriend breaking up with her and her arms burned from the fire. All she can think about is the fire fighter that saved her. She doesn't tell her best friend about her father being the one to save her. When she gets the chance she goes looking for Liam to let him know how grateful she is to him for helping her and that she'll help him in in way he needs in order to get back to work. Sparks fly between them as they sit across from each other at the coffee place. They start seeing each other secretly because of his work and his daughter. However they know that what they have is serious and want everyone to know about them. How will Liam's daughter react to them being together? Will he get to continue to work?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Emma had a really bad ex. Party until age 25 when his trust fund kicked in? not the commitment she was expecting.

Mister drinky partier apparently also has a porn addiction - what a dude!

and this gem, who may well have helped start a fire downstairs at he building, forgot to make sure Emma got out.

Lucky for Emma, a hero fire fighter was with the team that arrived to deal with the fire. Mr Hunky Fireman fought to reach her, then jumped out the window with her in his arms - 8 floors to safety.

more surprises ahead: her best friend Jennifer? Her dad Liam.

a tangled road, but the girls are all grown up -- and he saw Emma last when she was five - and Liam is charmed by this strong woman.

a mature man who does what he thinks is right - and an HEA is on the way!

Emma's ex boyfriend is a jerk. And she is well rid of him except he's so totally a Jerk that it ends up with her flat on fire. But when the firebrigade come to her rescue a real man is there for her and he's called Liam. Liam has been burned by his ex and is careful with his heart but once he meets Emma, he knows that she is the REAL Thing and he has to make her HIS. This ol. This is a short, fast paced novella with instant love and lust. Yes there are a few twists but it is a fun read and one that I read in one go. I must admit that I did wonder how they were going to tell her Dad about them as he was Liam's best friend but Flora made is all work out perfectly. Another winning story that is enjoyable and one that I will re-read in the future as it was so much fun to read. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. A Thousand Times Better Than The Last One

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Well written, great storyline and characters. This is definitely a Flora Ferrari book I am happy to recommend.

Emma is lucky to be alive, thanks to Liam. He is the fireman that ran into a burning building to save her, knowing his fire chief was completely against him endangering his own life. He is also Emma's best friend's dad. After getting out of the hospital, Emma is shocked to learn that Liam has been suspended because of disobeying his chief. When Emma tracks down Liam to thank him there are major chemistry sparks flying back and forth between them that lead to a rather intense make out session. Knowing that their involvement will crush Liam's daughter (Emma's best friend) they decide to pursue a relationship. Will it end up being the worst idea they could have?

This is as the other stories in thie series I have read very short, almost a novella - I am not 100% sure where the definition between the two lies, but, still it is a fun book to read that has a lot of scenes. Given how condensed it is and how the story line goes, I find it amazing how it is possible to get everything out there that is in this story. It seems as if all the relevant inforamtion is there to make this story a success. I liked reading it and even though there were a scene or two that I felt could easily have been a bit longer or perhaps one more chapter would have been better, but as it was not it still is really remarkably good. The characters are good and the whole setting is just fine. All I can do is say I liked it and can recommend it as a short romance.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Liam and Emma. She's stuck in a buying building, her boyfriend starts it somehow, and she can't get out. When the fireman show up she almost passes out. Luckily one fireman disobeys orders and comes into the fire to save her. It's Mr Logan, Jennifer's dad, her BFF. They haven't seen each other in 16 years. When Emma wakes up in the hospital with burns, Richard breaks up with her. When she goes to thank Mr Logan, she finds out he may have lost his job. There is a fire between them that can be denied. They just hope Jennifer will understand. Great quick read.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is another older man/ younger woman romance. Emma is a college student and when her apartment catches fire, she is rescued by Liam. Emma's boyfriend was having a party when the fire started and he broke up with her when she was in the hospital recovering. Emma wanted to thank the foreman who saved her and when she met Liam, she realized he was her best friend's father. Liam was instantly attracted to Emma and he wanted to be with her. When he tells Emma how he feels, she is surprised, but happy because she feels the same about him. Now they only have to tell his daughter. I love this love at first sight story, it was hot and steamy. I loved how Emma and Liam connected and i think they had great chemistry. Another good one.

Sweet and sexy read. I really liked this quick rad featuring Emma and Liam. Liam is a firefighter who rescues Emma from her apartment that has been set on fire by her boyfriend and his friends during a party. Both Emma and Liam at first don't recognize one another. Days after the fire Emma goes to thank the firefighter who rescued her and that is when they realize they do in fact know one another. Liam is the father of Emma best friend. The two both feel the connection they have and the chemistry that is drawing them to one another. This was a great read and the storyline was so sweet. Great HEA

Awesome read! This is Liam and Emma's story. Liam hasn't seen his daughter's best friend in years. He has no idea the girl he is obsessed with after saving her from a burning house is Emma. Liam is a firefighter who had no idea how his life would change that day. Emma was surprised at how hot Liam was. Liam and Emma are unable to stay away from each other but are worried how Jennifer will handle her dad being with her best friend. Add a pushy, obnoxious ex-wife and you have an amazing read! If you enjoy reading a book about an older man who knows who he wants and is not afraid to go after her, this is the book for you!

Well written story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop.
A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable.

It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters.

A story about saving and wanting a person. He saves her from a fire and he just wants her to be his. But he is her best friends father. What will happen if they let go of their ethics and go for their feelings? Can they make it work?
Enjoyable, sweet, steamy, dramatic, romantic and emotional story that is recommendable to others.

Beautiful written as always, by my number one author Flora. He is a fire fighter who has a grown daughter, not knowing that he is falling for his daughter best friend. She still has her v-card, not because she was holding out for marriage but because her boyfriend watch to much porn.
This story flow so well that you will be able to read it within one hour.

***Spoiler***I know I'm reading a Backlist of this book, but I really wanted to know if they had more children because he wanted a boy,

This author always delivers gripping suspense, fantastic chemistry and well developed characters that are interesting and engaging. The characters are developed and easy to like. The plot was interesting and not one I have come across before. The book is really well written with great main and supporting characters. The book is packed with chemistry, suspense, hot-headed individuals and fantastic surprises! This Author did another fantastic job with this book and I would highly recommend this to all.

Another great older man younger woman read from the very talented Flora I always enjoy her books and this one was no exception

Emma was rescued by fireman Liam when he rushed into a building to save her even though he was ordered not to. Liam is instantly drawn to the young woman he saved and then he discovers she is his best friends daughter He is determined she will be his all he has to do his face his friend and the review board for what he did. Luckily Emma feels the same way about him Will they get a HEA you will need to read to see

I loved burned its definitely my favorite one of the series ( I love firefighters) . I'm not sure why but I'm thinking it's because it was a lot different than the others in a way and different is good, I love instalove short smutty (sometimes sweet) reads and this defiantly fits that description so glad I found these book (devoured all the books in 2days) and I can't wait to read more from Flora

Burned?

I enjoyed this novel to a point but I'm insulted on behalf of burn victims. The heroine was supposedly badly burned in a house fire, but after a certain point in the novel it is not mentioned again. I've known burn victims. It's the central focus of life. The scarring and pain are all encompassing. This novel marginalized both. And then there were the almost constant grammar, spelling, and usage mistakes. Someone please buy Fiora a grammar book!

This is a fast pace page turner with a storyline so engaging, interesting, and sweet, I got to the end satisfied and wanting more. I love the characters who are so strong, know what they want, and go for it. I especially love the take charge attitude of the hero. This is a must read! I definitely recommend this book and I am always eager to read more from the author.

A short interesting well written older men and younger woman romance. This insta love was enjoyable as they fight thru all the obstacles Emma is his best friends daughter, dealing with the city review board and ex wife and love and steamy chemistry still wins out. They were perfect for each other. These are cute and insta love fast honey. If you read too fast you will miss it! So savor and enjoy this. He is a fireman and she is his daughter Jennifer’s best friend. He saves her from a fire at her apartment that her ignorant boyfriend started. The two connect after she gathered the courage to thank him at a social function where the rest of his coworkers gathered. He was instantly smitten. And for that matter, so was she.
