What would you tell your 15 year-old self if you come face-to-face with your boy band crush, 10 years later?

Elise Rodriguez is a 25year-old corporate junkie who has everything she could ask for except for a boyfriend. So when her best friend dares her to join a dating website, she decides she should do at least one thing she will regret when she turns 30. No one meets her expectations better than handsome surgeon Julian, who becomes her boyfriend. To celebrate her 365th day with him, Elise flies to the Queen City of the South for some couple time and, yes, canoodling. But she finds out her perfect boyfriend isn’t so perfect after all.

Enters boy band has-been Connor Ortiz—snobbish, easy going, and hot. Connor challenged Elise to see the world in a different angle. Set in Cebu, Elise and Connor takes us to amazing tourist spot destinations.

If you are a fangirl or once a fangirl, then you would find Serenade thoroughly enjoyable. The book is about a young career woman who went to visit her boyfriend, but ended up meeting and spending time with her childhood crush and idol.
I was transported to late afternoon talks with my friend, Koi, and our day dreamings about how we would act out when we finally meet our first loves, The Moffatts.

I've finished the book in 3 hours. Yes, it's really good, so I didn't take a break at all. More than the obvious butterflies in the stomach factor, is the attention to details that the author put in which I appreciated so much. I love that it was not so cheesy and was approached in a mature and age appropriate scenario. I was pleasantly surprised by the emotions it conveyed. I was expecting eye candy scenarios from start to finished and I received more than that. If there is one critic that I have, it would be that I wanted this book to be a little bit longer, only because I had so much fun reading it.

What a cute and light read! Now, I wanna go to Cebu!

I like the banters between Connor and Elise, their personalities seem to meld well. I like that Elise is a go-getter, and Connor is chill and sweet.

Connor! (Could you blame Elise? - Of course not. Because Connor is <3.)
