The disappearances of two girls within the span of a week thrusts a small Texas town into panic.
Detectives investigating the case are baffled by a note left at the scene of the latest kidnapping, promising more. Cautious neighborhoods are on lockdown as the search for the missing girls spreads far and wide. Miriam Sandoval, a former-detective, known for solving a high-profile kidnapping a year prior, is soon enlisted to lend her expertise. But solving the case won’t be easy. Danger awaits with the discovery of every potential clue, and a madman is watching, confident in the outcome of his diabolical games. Can Miriam help rescue the girls before it’s too late, or will they never be seen again?
Miriam character is headstrong, she gets great kick investigating, but leaves others in the dark. This short book was free from the author, and knew the cliffhanger ending because read the book one before.
This was a good book. The only complaint I have, is the ending. I believe you can do a series, but still give the reader closure. That is absolutely the only complaint I have. I will definitely read more books in this series and this author.
Interesting. This seems to be a part of a whole series of books and is somehow book 0 even though there must have been one before this, and there is one after. There seems to be multiple books with the same title, multiple books with the Odessa bit added, some are book 0, some are not. It’s very confusing and I feel like the author should look to get all lists cleaned up as it just makes one reluctant to continue with it.
Story was a 3.5, with an interesting plot that felt rushed and seemed to bring in a lot of characters who weren’t needed. Still, I enjoyed it on the whole, and got it for free so won’t complain.
A girl gets abducted in a parking lot, moments after having a discussion with her Mum about a girl getting abducted. Mum freaks out understandably, and the police find a note in the car mentioning a specific detective from a previous case. They contact her, bring her in for assistance and we follow the story of this detective as she tries to solve the case which she is only meant to be assisting with. This ends with her being pulled right into the middle of a bigger case which is the want of an even bigger villain all along.
As I say, I liked this enough to want to know more, but the series titling and listings seem way too confusing and it did feel quite rushed.
Lt. Miriam Sandoval, has been safe behind a desk for the past year. Ever since solving a kidnapping in Florida ended with her partner and ex-husband dead. Now two girls have been abducted in Odessa, Texas and the kidnapper left a message for the Odessa police that Miriam was their only hope in finding the girls before more were taken. Although the story is exciting, Miriam does some things that I find hard to believe a trained detective would be dumb enough or foolish enough to to.
I really enjoyed this book, I just wish the author could be more defining on the titles, it's a little confusing with them all being titled the same. The author has brought back the characters from the previous books, and has added a few more characters and a new location. This story like the others keep you guessing, and about the time you get one story unraveled, he throws more curveballs at us.
First, I must say the title of these ‘Abducted’ books are very confusing. This book I am reviewing is The Abducted: Odessa-A Small Town Abduction. This is a short story with a cliff hanger. There were certain parts that made you think why would a person working for the police department go out on their own with no help. Otherwise, the story is very good.
This book was very well written and engaging. Good plot twists and a very likable female detective that solves the case she is working on only to find out that there is a deeper more sinister case looming over her. I highly recommend.
this is an entertaining story about two girls that have been kidnapped. Their kidnapper is requesting Lieutenant Sandoval to come to the rescue. However she quickly realizes she's being led on , she saves one girl but can she find the other? in order to find out you have to read book 2.
Kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book as well as the series. This is the second book I've read with these characters in the series & can't wait to read the next one. I am glad I found a new author.
Apparently this book was supposed to go before the one I just finished. They basically tell the same story. This one was better edited than the one labeled "Book 1" that I read first. I won't be reading any more in this series.
