Natural disasters, a new threat from the dead, and tragic losses will either break Zoe and Gus apart or drive them closer together.

I kept reading this series in the hopes that it would get better... I should have given up after book one. But being a hardcore fan of zombie books I kept going and devoured all of them in less than a week. This book I was hoping would tie everything together but alas IT NEVER DID! The author ended it like it's done over and gone. The main character is stupid and kinda a worthless human. I feel that Gus would have been a better main character. At least he was consistent with what he thought and how he acted. I was really interested in the different types of zombies and wanted to know more about them "ASH ZOMBIES" and what they wanted from Zoe. If I was to be honest, that's really the only reason I kept reading. But instead, the author ended with a comp out and the death of a lot of good characters. And still the story does not feel resolved! It's almost like the author fell out of love with this world and is done with it. Im sure she had great plans for this series but sadly it fell short. If the author does write another book in this series I would love to see if she FINALLY pulls it all together and explains some things to the readers.

Disappointing

I loved this series and was expecting something amazing to happen with Hope. The previous book ended with Hope being able to kill the undead, so I was waiting for a great conclusion to the series where Hope saves the world. She died after having a seizure. Are you kidding me? I should have just stopped after Praying for Grace. And Zoe and Gus just head off to be alone? What a waste of my money!

Waste of time and money

I read the first book which was free and found it entertaining enough to decide to read the whole series. Bad decision. Kept thinking things would improve,. First of all typos abound which is distracting. Secondly the main character Zoe is just obnoxious. She probably causes more people to get killed than any other characters combined. She has to stop for a kiss or a goodbye or rushes out to “help” but causes everyone else to be more endangered. You’d think after living through this for 3 plus years she’d learn something. The 5th book and this one all I could do was make snarky comments out loud about how she was f’ing up again and of course she did. She is always tired, cold, so inconsolable that she endangers everyone else, selfish and stubborn yet needy and overly dependent on men that I just made me angry. LastLy the plots are all basically the same with each book—the authors imagination is limited to a formula in throughout the series so an interesting plot line never materializes. Unfortunately my quirkiness in needing to finish what I started had me read the whole series. I regret the decision and the waste of money.

It was goos

I have waited a long time for this book. I am glad the story is done. I appreciate the writer finishing the series. That being said, it could have been better. It didn't have the spirit that the other books carried. It seemed rushed like omg let me finish this series so people will leave me alone. But again, its better than no ending at all.

I really enjoyed the series. It has been really good to read. I would always cry when something would happen to someone I liked in the book or get mad at something so little. When I read this one. I was a little disappointed while reading the book. I did not like how it ended. It left me with questions. What happens to Zoe and Gus? Do they find a cure for the zombies? I hope there will be another story in the series explain more of what happens with Zoe and Gus.

Overall, Very good series and book! Really enjoyed them and hope they come out with another book.

Excellent addition to the series!

I've really enjoyed this series, and I'm really hoping it's not the end. This author has a true gift for storytelling.

Honestly this series was a waste of time, effort and money.
The main character is a useless, whiny, completely immature woman that makes me wish she had been killed off in book one. She’s the type of person you would use to juxtapose against the main character ( the annoying, useless person that gets everyone killed). I read the series because I really liked the zombies but it just went from bad to worse.

I am annoyed and dismayed at the complete cop-out by blaming everything on “middle-eastern bastards that hate the Western world.” For Gods sakes that just nailed the coffin for me and made me hate the author all that more. Seriously, do better!

The author is supposed to have a medical background, yet cannot get simpler things right! Gus should know better than to give all sorts of drugs to a pregnant woman and to a toddler.

This book had the making of a real awesome story but left so many plot holes and disappointments that no wonder
e-book sites are offering them for free.

Don’t bother, you get nothing at all from it. There is no ending, so you’re left with loads of unanswered questions and no resolution. I don’t understand what the author had in mind with this last book, it was pointless and derivative.

SPOILERS DON'T READ IF HAVEN'T READ THIS BOOK YET!!!!! Okay, so I finally finished this book and it took less than 24 hours. First, I will say that What Zoe and Gus went thru was insane they lost too much. I hate that they lost everyone. I'm glad that in the end they still had each other but it just sucks that everyone from their group dies. I despise what happened to Hope. They only got a few years with their amazing daughter. She was to young for that to have happened to her. . I don't like that it left that part hanging. I mean what really happened when she died the way she did? It didn't make sense and I feel like that part was left unfinished. Other than that the story was great I 💘 this series. The characters are amazing and I loved how in the end Zoe and Gus found their way back to where their original group used to live (the little island where Emily was shot) so they could be close to their memories and be together. They found a perfect little beach side cabin and they will make it their home and live happily ever after ;). Great job on the whole series M. Lauryl Lewis. U are an amazing author!!!!! I am forever a fan of your work. Can't wait to read more!!!

What?????

I liked the series until the end of book six. Why in the world didn't the author leave the series at five books? Book five wrapped it up nicely. Almost everybody died but I felt it like a good conclusion. I probably would have been okay with her continuing the story, but the last part of the book felt really rushed. Why in the world introduce more characters and more about a new kind of zombie and then all of a sudden end it? I don't get it. 😕

Loved this book also

I can say...i really don’t like zombie apocalypse books, but this series keeps me hooked. I can’t wait to see the fate of our heroes. I’d love a happy ending where its the beginning of a world where the undead no longer exist. But we shall see🤞🏽.

Seriously WTF

This book was awful. What was the point of any of it? This my second time reading the entire series, and I'm still angry. You should've stopped at book 5. That ending was everything.

Very te se book

I liked the style with sudden changes and realism you will not expect from a woman writer. Things go wrong all the time în a shattered world. All the best!

I was so excited to see the newest release of M. Lauryl Lewis' series. This book did not disappoint. I absolutely loved it.

Zoe and Gus are still fighting the dead and trying to find a place to settle where they will be safe. It seems every time they find somewhere, it because compromised and more people they love and care about die.

I devoured this book in a day and was sad to find myself done with it. I wanted to continue travelling with Zoe and Gus and she what was next for them.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I have loved this series! And this book was great, but expected more after waiting so long. I'm not entirely satisfied with the ending. Wanted the happily ever after for Zoe, but I guess that's not realistic in a zombie a apocalypse!

Awesome Awesome Awesome. It was crazy ride and just as good as the other books in series!

I was worried about whether I'd enjoy this or not for two main reasons. The significant length of time since the last book, and the previous ending, I assumed that was actually the last novel in the series. I wasn't sure where it would go in the extra book.

It was easy to pick up, especially with the author adding the last chapter of the previous book to catch up quickly. I thought it was fast paced, scary, thrilling and excellent addition to story, that reminded you exactly why this series is one of your favorite.

Some reviews appear to indicate this is the final book. Hopefully, they are incorrect, as I feel like there's definitely more to go from here and it felt extremely abrupt for ending. Compared to the previous book, I could at least accept that as an ending. This book feels more like, "lots of zombie action, people trying to survive, running and hiding, etc" and then no conclusion, or at least a feeling of "home" being found or an idea of life later on for the characters. I only crave more of this story after the newest addition!

Disappointed in this last book. Felt like the author wanted Zoe and Gus to end up together and kill off everyone else who mattered. How many babies can a series kill off? And with absolutely no reason. Maybe if we Finally could have learned why the different zombies were created, why Hope died, and what was so special about Zoe. Just felt like author had given up on the story and wanted to give it a happy ending but without actually finishing anything. Another book filling in all the gaps would be great.

The series itself was fast-paced and the ups and downs made you relate to the story. The ending of book 6 could possibly have been a little better fleshed out ,no pun intended, closure in a story like this isn't meant to be Roses and Rainbows put maybe a little feeling of Hope.
