Thirty years ago Nancy had to make a choice.
She chose wrong.
Now, with her life feeling more than a little empty, all she can think about is that one wrong decision and how things could have been different. And not just for her.
Paul's never gotten past the one night Nancy Richards was almost his. It's colored every relationship he's tried to have and every choice he's made. Now she's been thrust back into his life by association and circumstance.
And he still can't bring himself to try to make her his.
Will the man Nancy hurt all those years ago find the strength to put his heart back on the line for her, or is she destined to spend the rest of her life wishing for what should have been?

I live in southern Ohio with three kids, nine chickens, four ducks, two dogs, a guinea pig, a gecko, and one very patient husband.
I write romance of all shapes and sizes and there's nothing I love more than a redeemed bad boy.
Unless it's a grumpy redeemed bad boy.

"Regret" Never Waste a Second Chance book 2 by Janice Whiteaker

**Spoiler Alert**

Paul has loved her for over 30 years but she chose him. Sam was who she wanted but years later they all knew it wasn't meant to be. Nancy was meant to be his but even after Sam's death, she still never would be his. He has a secret and one that no man wants to face or admit. He is no longer a man. He can't offer her what she as a woman needs.

Nancy knew Sam was all wrong for her but that realisation came a little to late and now Paul will never forgive her. The deceit and lies of her sister and now dead husband will always haunt her. Why was she never enough? How could they do that to her?

Will the ghost of her past finally set her free? Will the truth come out? Will Paul and Nancy find their way to each other?

There is so much story to read. I loved the characters along with their unbelievable strength and commitment. The love is undeniable and the passion is felt deep down. Loved this story.

Will Beth find her HEA?

The start of the story beautifully brings out the emotions that the events in the previous book, “Run”, caused. I really felt the characters’ pain and uncertainty. In this book, Paul and Nancy have to work through a lot of history and regrets, and find their confidence again to be together. I enjoyed reading about their romance and how they found each other again. Their initial distance from each other is quite frustrating, but also hopeful. It really feels as if they will get together, and not just because we all expect them to.

The conflict between Nancy and her unexpected visitor felt a bit rushed. I would have liked to have more details, especially when it all comes to a head towards the end.

The story is easy to read and to follow, everything makes sense, and the writing is clear and colorful. The plot flowed well and there were no unanswered questions left behind.

I was looking forward to Nancy and Paul's book after reading Thomas's book. It was really good but I think I was expecting more of a back story given the way he treats her, it seemed a bit extreme but after learning a bit more it did make sense it just seemed off compared to what I was expecting. I really loved the interactions between all the other characters and how they were each a part of the story... I am intrigued for Beth's story...

Big Hurts, Bigger Healing

Lovely story of regrets overcome and romance rekindled. I love how Janice Whiteaker stretches the second chance trope with real life troubles and solutions. With the added touch of a seriously psychopathic sister stalker, this romance was exciting to the end!!

One mistake years ago has caused suffering to everyone she loves then her sister returns

I would recommend this book and series for mature readers that enjoy reading stories that are funny, suspenseful, and romantic, with strong characters both male and female.

I have been waiting for this book! We finally get to find out what happened between paul and Nancy. From the first they have had such chemistry and tension and it has drove me nutty not knowing what happened between them. When Nancy gets a surprise visitor (no spoilers in my reviews! LOL) they must work out the differences between them. There is so much I want to say about the books plot but I wont. I will say that Janice is an amazing writer and I am so glad a good friend introduced me to her books. I believe she is the next BIG THING in the writing world. The story has such a smooth flow and the romantic aspects are out of this world.

Everything I wanted and more. .

Each book has been even better than the last. I cannot wait for the next one. She makes you feel like you know all the people in her books and keeps you rooting for that happy ending. I will read this one again and again.
