BOUGHT FOR THE GREEK’S REVENGE is Lynne Graham's 100th book! Wow.....I have read a lot of her books and she is one of my fav Mills & Boon's authors.

Nikolai Drakos and Ella Palmer's journey to finding their HEA was a fun and sweet trip.

A twist to the usual revenge trope, I found the 2 mc's likeable and engaging. Ella Palmer's weakness was the love for her family and the reason she agreed to Nikolai Drakos's blackmail to save them. However, she did show some spunk and I found the way she brought love and light to his life really nice.

Nikolai started off being a total cold and hardened man but Ella did something good for him and he slowly realized how much he had lost in his life with his bitterness and anger.

Well written, fabulous locations and engaging characters, the author has given us another enjoyable HEA.

PS.....Loved the tattoo that the hero had on his shoulder!!!!

I have been a long time LG fan ever since I first discovered her books about ten years ago when I found her books in a UBS.Prior to that I had been on an HP hiatus for some time.Imagine my suprise when I read her books and just about fell in love with her writing, the book I first read was The Spanish Groom, what a fantastic read that prompted me to get her entire back log and simply devour them. So,this is my favorite HP author's 100th book, that's an accomplishment.I have read them all with the exception of the " infamous duet".The majority of the stories I have loved, a few were so,so.This book was good, not great, but still it is way better than some of the newest authors who seem not to write stories that are fitted for the HPuniverse, call me old fashioned, but I loved the classic HP's which is the trademark of the line.
This is a "revenge" theme, but not the usual revenge,it is against the villian who five years previous had raped the H (Nikolas) sister and she later committed suicide. The h (Ella) is just the pawn in the revenge game.
The 2 MC's had met 1 year earlier when she was a parking attendant for the night assisting her ex stepmother's friend event. The h had scraped the H's Maclaren and he was pissed, but not so much as to kiss her passionately and suggest a ons.The h,mourning the death of her fiancee, refuses and is in denial of her response to the sizzling kiss. All is forgotten till a year later and guess who comes back into the H's orbit, the heroine, seems that the dead fiancée 's uncle is none other than the rapist villian.Hero plots revenge on the villian who the hero thinks that the heroine is becoming involved with or is the next target. Seems like the villian likes them young and innocent, but is the heroine a virgin, how can she be?after all, she was engaged and oh so beautiful. But of course she is a virgin no matter how many times she suggest to fiancee,he declined (of course,we find out later from the evil uncle villian, the fiancee was in a prior gay relationship).
So the hero comes to the heroine with a proposition, live with him for 3 months in London , and all her father's financial problems will be no more.Of course there is resistance and the heroine comming off as a spitting kitten, but she soon capitulated and off to London, the makeover, and the fancy townhouse.
Naturally when they do the deed, yep, virgin, and great sex, the hero even stays for a while which is unusual for him as he is a runner.
After a rape attempt by the villian in the townhouse where the hero catches him and beats him to a pulp,he begins to feel remose for the revenge plan, people are getting hurt and it is becoming fatal as proved by the arson of his hotel with several employees hurt and one at death's door.
Hero proposes marriage, they go off to Greek island, meet up with long lost relatives again, pregnancy which is kept secret for a short time, misunderstanding ,and finally, the hero opens up about his terrible childhood, horrible parents and distant grandfather.Make up where all is resolved and hea.Lovely epilogue where even the dogs have an hea with a pup.
This was a milder LG hero, but I liked him. When he told the heroine she will get "punished" oh ho,is LG dabling in some BDSM,but alas,no,just some sizzling sexy time. This one also had a tattoo on his shoulder, nothing badass, but a unicorn and rainbow to commerate his dead sister,okay......the sis had loved fairytales.
The heroine had some sass and spunk, but she calmed down by book's end.
I rate this between 3.5 and 4.LG has written some classics and she is a go to for me,so congratulations Lynne,100 books is an amazing accomplishment.

2 FAIRLY FLAT STARS.

I'm going to be very honest and say that I am a little disappointed with the failed drama in this book.
Ok I like...no love LG drama!
It's normally spicy and hot.
But this one had very little to offer me.

The hero was a manwhore who manipulated the heroine at every turn for his own end.
And get this folks, it was all for the greater good.
It just happened to be what he wanted is all.
I have to say I have most, if not all 100 of her HP books and they are all very unique, but this one was more of a rehash of other books with a little sprinkle of "respect for a woman's intellect card" for added variety.

Normally, in LG books, the heroines have some kind of learning difficulties or they are financial stressed and the hero is almost always the biggest manwhore you have ever seen.

This one is no different and the heroine even asked him how many women he has F*cked and he says "oh only a few."
Wth!
So if she was to say the same you would just laugh right like she did!?
Wrong, because of course she has to be pure while he is a whore.

Now, I love a virgin heroine or hero but not when the guy is a total ass about sleeping around and has no shame about it. I am however happy that he has never been in love before. That makes some of his whoring more acceptable but not much.

I would recommend much better books from her but my favorites are always filled with ups and down. This one was just flat.
I wanted the ride!!!!
I feel let down a little.
Still a good little read but to me it was just blah!
Even the epilogue was dull.

So enjoy or skip!

According to the author's note this is Lynne Graham's 100th HP. She has certainly written many keepers and a few clunkers. This one falls squarely in the middle.

If I were to write a later-in-her-career Lynne Graham starter pack (like the meme the kids are sharing these days), I would include:

Petite virgin red-head with tiny boobs and sensitive nipples and perfect skin.
Greek (or Italian) alpha who is rich, gorgeous, and controlled in bed until he meets the heroine.
An outrageous proposition that the heroine at first turns down and then makes the best of it.
Cute dog or other pet (goldfish named Caesar, perhaps?)
Kindly retainer who is on the heroine's side.
Unexpected pregnancy caused by birth control failure/ misuse.
Escalating levels of commitment until the hero is tied in knots and vows eternal love .

Bonus points:

The heroine is poor, uneducated or under-educated, loves the outdoors and animals and finds make-overs boring.
The hero came from the mean streets and trusts no one.
At least one house that is vividly described.
Use of distracting dialogue tags like "intoned" "husked" "bleated" and "rasped" and "condemned."

This story fulfills all of these later-career tropes/eccentricities and throws in a rapey villain and a dollop of arson, which didn't fit with the lighter tone of the rest of the story. Even the hero's "revenge" against the rapey villain is pretty tame. And the heroine's pique doesn't last longer than two pages at the "black moment."

So this is bog standard Lynne Graham. If you love LG, you will enjoy this story. There just isn't a lot of new ground here. Except for how the unexpected pregnancy came about.

I'm not sure how to rate this. I only know that this story lacked the passion, the angst, the intensity I have come to expect from a LG book. Also hero was very very beta, too nice for my tastes. It was a romantic story but not good enough for a LG book. Still if you like a sweet hero you will probably love this!

In order to save her family home, Prunella “Ella” Palmer agrees to marry Nikolai Drakos, a man bent on revenge.
The ruthless tycoon will use any means necessary to ensure Ella’s compliance, so he buys out her family’s debts.
Debts he’ll forgive if Ella becomes his mistress.
He’s determined to vindicate the sister he lost, by going after someone close to Ella, someone with designs on marrying Ella himself.
But when he discovers the true extent of Ella's innocence, Nikolai is forced to consider something new; it appears the indomitable Greek is about to take a bride!
Ella fights the marriage to Nikolai, unaware of the danger inching ever closer to her.

Ella and Nikolai have a great connection from the start and they both hold their own throughout the story. They both were equally strong and suited each other well. There is a good tension and romance but it did not have enough angst in whole, although there is a considerable amount of drama because of the negative character, Cyrus.

It was well written and contains an interesting storyline.
As usual, LG added in a brilliant epilogue at the end with Tobias Drakos - their son, another baby on the way, the two pets Butch and Rory, and a surprise into a world where one can live happily-ever- after!

Overall Rating: 4.5/5.0

Bought for the Greeks revenge is who knows what number book I've read by Lynne Graham .
It's a fun cheesy romance with a bit of revenge (obviously as the title says) sometimes i need a bit of Harlequin in my life sometimes😌.
It's fun , easy , light and page flipping because sometimes it's nice to have a happy ending 😃

So I enjoyed this. The reason of H finally agreed to marry h was a bit weak. Accidental pregnancy and the H's reaction over it was a bit acceptable I guess, although I expected him to get angry or sth but he said he loved the h so maybe that excused the calmness he exuded when she told him she was pregnant a couple weeks after they got married when she knew a day before they were married. Usually the H in HP world would throw temper tantrum over things like this but I welcomed the differences. Although it's kinda calmer that the usual revenge, accidental pregnancy, enemy to lovers tropes that HP usually adopt, I like this more than I thought I would I guess. Didn't put too much expectation on this. Ending was okay with 5 year old son and a baby on the way. Oh and there were triggers in this with the H's and some other women being a victim of sexual assault by the OM-Villain in this book, he almost raped the h as well but thankfully the H got to the scene and stopped the jerk from doing too much harm

What a tale! Graham has definitely created a romance that allows every reader to live the fairy tale ending. Graham is a very visually descriptive author. She’s an author who takes readers out of their everyday and invites them for a walk on the other side. I will admit that this novel had a bit of an over the top premise, but the author really makes it work, allowing readers to live the fairy tale.

There were sooo many secrets in this novel. The tension that they created added to the complexity of the relationship between the main characters, as did their need for honesty. Ella and Nikolai were definitely a case of opposites attract, and in a big way. The dynamic between them was ever changing as they were trying to find their centre, yet it was fantastically well written. I enjoyed how Graham presented and developed these two and how their relationship was anything but easy.

This was a great read and a brilliant choice for Graham’s 100th publication. The story was fun, romantic, with enough heat to keep you glued to the pages. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to romance lovers everywhere.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Three and half stars!

I liked it. LG's hundredth book but not one of her best.

The H was good. Sometimes too good, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was that the story lacked angst and drama, which admittedly I was expecting a lot since this is a revenge story.

Had a villain, who was really cruel. He actually dared to attack the h in H's house. Had dogs which weren't as adorable as Skippy, Bas or Piglet.

The book lost it's first star because the story lacked what I mentioned above as well as humor, which I usually find in LG's novels. And the Half star because I had high expectations from this book and it failed to live up to that.

I'm still a LG fan and I don't hate this book, just don't love it enough. Will now have to wait till the year end for her next book, which my instinct say won't be good.... But My instinct was wrong this time, so... Yeah, I will still be eagerly waiting for Holly's story.

Pity it's not MoC and SaM themes. My fave theme.

But I like Ms Graham this time, the plot is unusual then her others book. The hero is better. and the heroine is tougher, not lame like her previous' stories...

Bought for the Greek’s Revenge by Lynne Graham plunges readers into the chaotic world of the main protagonists— a passionate whirlwind of revenge, redemption, and sizzling high-octane chemistry. The story centers around Greek tycoon Nikolai Drakos and his ruthless pursuit of Ella Palmer (Prunella Palmer) for his revenge. Published in May 2016, this is everything fans of Ms. Graham expects from a romance penned by her—fierce, dramatic, and simmering with emotional and sexual tension.

Nikolai is a man on a mission, bent on avenging himself against his archenemy, whom he despises with every fiber of his being. It is the unassuming Ella who inadvertently becomes the pawn in his game of retribution and gets caught in the crosshairs as Nikolai attempts to get to his enemy through her. Nikolai, relentless in his pursuit, buys out Ella’s family debts, coercing her compliance with an offer she can hardly refuse—her family’s financial freedom in exchange for becoming his mistress.

Ella’s predicament is impossible, but she bravely steps into Nikolai’s world, initially agreeing to his terms with little choice. Her character, an alluring mix if innocence and tenderness, has a powerful impact on Nikolai, who soon finds his motivations shifting in unexpected ways. As the story progresses, Nikolai’s hardened exterior cracks, revealing a man who, despite his ruthless ambition, feels a growing protectiveness and attraction toward her. What starts as a vengeful transaction morphs into something altogether different, as Nikolai realizes that the ultimate victory might not be revenge, but claiming Ella as his bride.

Nikolai is the type of hero that Ms. Graham crafts so perfectly. His dark past—marked by neglect and a childhood burdened with emotional scars—makes him both aloof, powerful, and yet deeply wounded, with the untimely loss of his sister having left its mark on him. Ella on the other hand has her own insecurities to contend with, having being engaged once to a man whose rejection of her has left deeply ingrained scars on her psyche.

It is amidst all this that Ms. Graham masterfully crafts a romance that is as complex as it is intense. The relationship between Nikolai and Ella grows with each encounter brimming with heat and emotions, with neither character losing the very qualities that draws readers to them in the first place. Nikolai’s transformation—from a man bent on vengeance to one who learns to love—gives the story depth, as his icy demeanor softens, and the vulnerability he allows Ella to see speaks for itself.

I loved the modern twists and how Ms. Graham balanced intense passion with deep-seated emotional growth. I loved Nikolai and Ella individually and together, and that is in essence half the job done when crafting a romance novel.

For fans of Lynne Graham, Bought for the Greek’s Revenge delivers all the elements of a classic Mills & Boon novel with an extra dose of fire and emotional punch. Nikolai’s relentless passion and Ella’s quiet strength creates a dynamic that keeps the pages turning.

Recommended for fans of Harlequin romances and especially fans of Ms. Graham.

Final Verdict: Bought for the Greek’s Revenge is a must-read for lovers of high-stakes, emotionally charged romance with a fiercely possessive hero and a heroine who finds her own strength amidst the storm.

Rating = 4.5/5

Bought for the Greek's Revenge is almost identical to The Greek Commands His Mistress but still fun to read. I didn't realize they'd be so similar or I would have spaced them apart a bit more.

I listened to this one on audiobook (yay for Audible Romance Package subscription service!) and just wanted to point out that the narrator can be annoying at times. It's narrated by Antony Ferguson and when he's just narrating the story or speaking for the English characters, he's good. But when he's speaking for the Greek characters - dear GOD, it's a hot mess. He sounds like a mix between Zoolander and Sebastian from A Little Mermaid. I really wish that he wouldn't bother with the accent because he's not good at it and he makes the dialog sound goofy.

I'm not even sure how to review this book. I've read a lot of Harlequin Presents and they are all pretty much the same formula, but some of them are fun reads that I can usually devour in a few hours or a day at most.

Not so this one.

Ella is the typical innocent, big hearted girl who is persuaded into a relationship by Alpha male Nikolai who is trying to save women from the evil Cyrus, because Cyrus caused harm to his sister.

cough cough ....SNORE....

This book took me days to read because there was just no action. There was no drama. There was no heat or spice or anything to make me want to keep turning the pages.

Ella was easily manipulated by Nikolai and then boom they are both in love and yada yada yada. Cyrus gets what he deserves and HEA. That's pretty much it.

Sadly not worth the time it took to read it.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. My expectations were a little low, but it exceeded them. This was a great book for Lynne Graham's 100th book.

I really enjoyed it and didn't have any complaints about it. The story was good with a classic Presents theme but presented in a little different way but still the same feel. It was interesting. My eyes were glued to the pages as I got through the story fairly quickly.

I really loved the characters in this story especially Ella. I love her feistiness and her spirit. She was a little pistol but had sweet, tender and vulnerable side as well. It was a nice balance. It just made her so much more real and three dimensional. She was just great. I loved her.

Enjoyed Nikolai as well. He had an alpha persona with a tender and sweet side that was just hidden beneath the surface with Ella being the one to uncover it. I loved that he had an epiphany in the middle of the book and not the end which is normally the case in these type of stories. Once he had that revelation, I could really see the change in him and see that he in fact did have feelings for Ella. And it was adorable.

Their relationship was really cute, and I enjoyed seeing it played out on the page. They had mad chemistry and deep caring between them. Plus it was really entertaining to their foreplay both in and out of the bedroom. They just really sparked off of one another. It was delicious. It was just enough back and forth that it increased the anticipation without making it too long and drawn out making it annoying.

Chemistry was really good. It was hot. It was sexy. It was tender at times. It was just a natural flowing chemistry that wasn't contrived. The love scenes were real well written and passionate. There was always something more to them than just the physical. There was caring. There were beautiful. Loved the first time scene and the honeymoon scene. It was just really good.

There were nice angst and conflict to the story. So they couldn't be open to each other until the end even if they wanted to. It was just a nice and steady pace that created that angst that was just enough and needed in the story. It kept it very engrossing and made invested in the story. It was just what expect from a romance.

Just overall the story was really good and had me have vested interest in the story. I loved the characters and how their love story played out. It highlighted why trust and honest is important in a healthy relationship, and Nikolai realized it near the middle of the book. I was so happy he wasn't hard headed and a jerk. He was justified in his motives but he realized that didn't excuse what he was doing to Ella. I liked that it happened sooner rather than later. Just the whole story was satisfying and interesting and I throughly enjoyed it more than I expected to. I was happy to be surprised by this one.

Perfect for number 100. Well done Lynne Graham and congratulations.

This is Ms. Graham's 100th book for Harlequin and wow did she write an amazing story. All her books are outstanding and she is definetly an author to follow, but this book is truly special. Nikolai Drako is a cold and unfeeling man because of his past and has no intention of ever letting anyone reach him, so he thinks. Ella Palmer is trying so hard to keep a roof over her family's head and when she meets Nikolai she stays clear as she had loved once and he had died, and isn't ready for another, or so she thinks. A wonderful story of revenge, love and more than that a story of how no matter what you have planned for in life there is always someone out there that may change your mind. Ella is refreshing and no wishy washy heroin and Nikolai has a heart buried inside ice that Ella will eventually chop out. Terrific story more than just a romance some real heartbreak and a little mystery but most of all its a book that should not be missed. Love Lynne Graham always but I truly fell in love with Nikolai. Deserves more than 5 stars

Entertaining, moderate-angst romance

This is a classic HP romance plot in which the tall, dark and broody, billionaire MMC is seeking revenge against an evil man who viciously harmed his beloved older sister. The small but feisty FMC initially is merely a pawn in his devious plan to achieve righteous retribution. It creates a forced-proximity situation that, of course, involves an intense sexual relationship and, eventually, the inevitable HEA of true love and lasting marriage.

I own the Kindle version of this novel, and I have listened to the audiobook version through Hoopla. It is not one of my all-time favorites by LG, but it is a pleasant way to pass a few hours.

I really enjoyed this fast paced story by Ms. Graham. I have to admit that Harlequins are a nice change of pace. They are fun, sweet and pure entertainment.

I found Ella to be a very likable character. She stayed true to who she was throughout the whole story. Her family was her weak point because she loved them so much she would do anything for them and in fact she did. She agreed to be Nikolai’s mistress to wipe their debt.

While Ella’s love for family is important in a way so is Nikolai’s. He wanted revenge for what was done to his sister. This has put Ella in the middle of said revenge.

Ms. Graham gave Nikolai a heart of ice but it soon melted by just having Ella in his life. She gave him love and sunshine. It made him seem more believable and real. Ms. Graham gave both these characters a human side that was real and easy to relate to. I liked the journey from America to London and eventually to Greece.

This story was not only light and fun but refreshing. To me I liked the simple story and magic when these two fell in love. The sex was hot with plenty of implied steam.

I think this would be a great read for the beach. Or if you aren’t planning a trip to the beach it is perfect to just grab your favorite drink and relax in your favorite spot. This is a great story to unwind from a rough day.
