I'm a mom of two sons, blogger, illustrator, traditional and digital artist, publisher, reader, reviewer and multi-genre indie author who loves to mix genres, and an inventor, playwright who writes all genres including visionary fiction.
My oldest son is a product of my previous interracial marriage. He's bi-racial. He is autistic/nonverbal and making steady and exceptional progress daily. He's an honor roll student. He's 18 years old and just graduated from high school (Class of 2025). I'm in a serious relationship and just recently gave birth to my youngest son (2022). I have multiple biracial/multi-racial family members.
And I will write my oldest son's biography one day in the near future. And yes, I will be self-publishing it.
*I'll be writing and illustrating books in the near future for children, teens and young adults that my sons can relate to.

My novel "Weeping Well" is revised and has been re-released (July 2017) and is now on Amazon and other online participating stores in paperback and e-book. A sequel to "Weeping Well" will be added starting from 2008-2010. "Weeping Well" will be a four book series.

It's a YA/literary fiction/coming of age/set in 1989-2008/family/mystery/suspense/psychological/ horror/thriller/dark gothic romance/ supernatural/ sports/ travel/some sci-fi (Mississippi, UK, Chicago, Japan) multicultural, multiracial/multilingual and so much more.

My next novel is a sci-fi/fantasy/with several genres mixed in and will be released and the sequel in the future.

In between this time next year I will be doing Ghostwriting and Editing Services for Upcoming/Indie Authors (see Goodreads blog). Questions on rates and times will be explained and posted when I have a clear schedule from writing my own books.

I have been writing for 33 years since I was 13 years old. *I returned to illustrating/ sketching a few years ago. But have been sketching and doing art since I was ten years old. *Several of my drawings from my vast and eclectic art portfolio are on Wattpad if interested.

I have self-published my first of many books called "Corridors of My Mind," a nonfiction memoir about my life written in the form of poetry.

I've been published before in poetry anthologies a number of times when I was very young through poetry contests.

When I was fifteen years old, I was once offered a publishing contract by Harlequin, although they didn't know how young I was at the time and I decided not to sign.

I always wanted to be an indie author. I wrote for my college newspaper and yearbook when I was nineteen majoring in English and Journalism. I also have three college backgrounds in Computer Science, Computer Business, Advertising and Marketing, Nursing, Literature, Child Development, Psychology, Liberal Arts, Creative Writing to name some.

I love mixing genres and subgenres, subplots and plots. I mix it up until its a quagmire/ paradox of infinite plots twists and turns, etc.

I am literally incapable of writing any other way. Besides, I get bored easily and crave and use the glory of unpredictability in my writing. My writing is very unique and I go beyond the edge of literature.

I love literature and my favorite authors are Edgar Allan Poe, Walt Whitman, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Tennessee Williams, Bret Harte, William Shakespeare and yes I can understand every word spoken in Shakespeare's works, one of my favorites of his is "Macbeth." Mark Twain and William Faulkner, Alice Walker, Sylvia Plath, to name a few more.

I wasn't quite sure what I was getting into reading this as the blurb and cover don't really give you much insight into the plot. I think perhaps the current blurb could be changed into a tagline and more of the plot woven into a new blurb. I think some readers may see the page count and the current blurb and may not pick up what is a well written, fast paced novel.

While the page count is high, the book never gets bogged down and there is almost nonstop drama on every page. You almost wonder how much one character can endure when something else gets thrown at her. We see several crime plots being interwoven that involve the main character, Eva or Evangeline, that effect her directly. While they do knock her back and affect her mentally, she always comes out stronger and fighting, becoming a barrister and trying to bring down those that wronged her.

The book spans several decades and several plots the occur in different countries. We got the states, England, and Japan to name a few, but while you may wonder at first how this new plot that gets introduced could possibly be involved, it's wrapped up neatly at the end and there are no plot holes.

Kudos to the author for managing to balance several different crime plots, mental illness, losses of loved ones, and several emotional punches to the gut

This was an interesting book for me. I was excited to read it and find out more about this book. This book for the most part was fast paced and I enjoyed the plot. I need to stare fear in the face more often myself. I think this character's life was like many with lows and highs and everything in between. I enjoyed the many twists and turns in this book that kept me reading more. * I received this book from the author and this is my honest review*

I received a copy of this in return for an honest review

The first thing I want to say is that no matter how good the story or writing, two things I've learned are important that this novel does not have.
1) A decent cover. The picture isn't bad but it could use some time and attention
2) A decent synopsis, neither the one online or the one the author gave me give enough detail to really hook you into reading this book. Nor do they do this story justice.

Now with that said...
This is a fast paced and serious novel. It does need a bit more editing, but that did not detract from the characters or storytelling, both which were pretty good.

It was hard to keep up with the amount of characters and all the action going on. Plus this book is full of drama- which wasn’t for me but I can see the appeal.

Eva’s life is turned upside down when her mother accidentally stabs her twin sister and kills her. I couldn’t really get past the fact they cover it up and bury their little girl in a chest in the woods instead of going to the police, but grief and panic can screw up even the best of people.

One thing I really liked was how this book dealt with mental illness, you can tell the author either has firsthand knowledge of it or did her research.

This novel was depressing and long, written over a span of decades and the formatting is different than standard novels. However each chapter invoked a severe emotional response from me, which I believed was the author’s intention.

I don’t think this novel was for me, but I can’t deny some of the powerful imagery and intense story telling that went on the in 400+ pages.

an excellent book that really needs to be a trilogy.
I found this book to be a series of ups and downs with points of the book too thick, and sometimes not thick enough. this book seriously needs to be placed in several books to allow the reader to progress in in a conceptual way. still, it's a decent read.

A great first book in a new series.

Weeping Well was a great book that had it all. Mystery, intrigue, romance. So much was going on making it necessary to take your time reading this book or risk missing something. I look forward to the next.

DNF for sure! Poorly written, not edited, grammar & punctuation at its worst! A 5th grader could have written something better!

MY THOUGHTS
The pace was fast, at times a bit too fast for me. But the plot captured you from the first page. I did have a problem with the middle of the book. It was like things just stood still. But then it picked up again. It was a mystery, but more. The main character's life was a steady one. It was a series of highs and lows but a lot of people's lives are that way. The author takes you on an emotional roller coaster. I believe the part I liked the best was the very first part, even though it would break your heart. It's what keeps you reading and turning the pages. One of the most captivating characters was Eva. She had death at her back door and she faced loss but she overcame it. She didn't let it suck her in. IT was as said, "Fear is like a looking glass..." You either look it in the face (looking in the looking glass) or you turn your head and it stalks you forever. Life dealt Eva a bad hand and the story takes you through Eva's dealt hand and how she played it. The author didn't slight the details in the book. You can't go through this book without thinking it through or you will miss the full intention the author is presenting. The characters can't be taken from the surface view. They have depth and you have to take time to get to that depth. It is worth the time. I think the character detail was the core of the book. If you're looking for a fast read where you don't have to really think things out, then this isn't the book for you. I didn't find it a relaxing read. It was like the emotions were too high but sometimes we need to read a book like this to bring us to reality. Fear and how you deal with it. Look it in the face and deal or turn away and let it deal with you. The cover was very interesting. I sat and looked at it and thought about what it meant.

I received a copy of this book from the author and voluntarily decided to review it.

I started reading this book before it was revised but recently picked it back up. I think there was a great improvement and the start of this story drew me in. It's so sad but so emotionally descriptive. Eva goes through so much in this story - love, loss, and an enormous amount of personal growth. It starts out as a YA story but follows Eva over several years.

Most of this book is written almost as journal entries, not first person but it does give dates as it chronicles Eva's life. I found some parts hard to follow and I think it can be tightened up since the story does seem to drag a little in the middle of the book. The beginning and end kept a faster pace. I kept thinking, how much more can one person live through? Eva shows her strength under pressure and the will to go on while working to solve a huge mystery.

Weeping Well is a fast paced story that follows the complicated life of a young girl into adulthood. We follow her life quickly as she is faced with many obstacles and heartbreaks.

This story is uniquely written, and I felt I was seeing the main characters life in flashes.

This story has many twist, turns and hidden sub plots that introduce you to many different characters and how they're all connected to each other. It will be interesting to see where the story takes its characters in book 2.

Weeping Well was one of the most intense reads that I have read in the longest time. From the start, the author captivates you into a heartbreaking scene that sets the tone for the book. The ups and downs in the main character's life. It was incredibly emotional and had you on edge. At times I was confused as this book was written in a sort of timeline. Nevertheless, it didn't take away from the read, only added to it. Well written and greatly developed!

Angel M.B. Chadwick’s Weeping Well is dark, descriptive, and filled with interesting characters. Chadwick’s focus on character is what sucked me into this novel the most. It’s moody and atmospheric and Chadwick draws you in bit by bit through surprising twists. All around a good one if you’re looking for a darker tale.

A good first novel, with sophisticated author vocabulary and a very informative narrative.
Weeping Wall is a very fast paced and intense novel, brimming with human emotion and filled with lots of plots + subplots.
Very skilled storytelling and a unique, troubled but very compelling heroine.
Very compassionate portrayals of both mental illness and the way that childhood trauma can adversely affect adult life.

Only problem with this story is that there are far too many characters and an eye-watering amount of action going on. It is very difficult to keep up with all the various plots/subplots.
A bit like 50 episodes of Game of Thrones, with so much drama going on it is very easy for a reader to get confused.

Wow this was a brilliant start to a book. It captivates you right from the first page with an action packed ending though it did have a lull in the middle. A fast paced story which keeps you wanting to read until the end. I particularly liked the relationship between Eva and Telly, at the beginning. I enjoyed the story more than I expected. Overall a good concept which was well written. Good mystery read. Well done!
