Just my way of saying thank you for giving my books a try.
A wonderful condition of romance that touches the heart.
A collection of stories to delight the senses as the stories leap off the pages at us as were swept away into the lives of the characters as they unfold out in front of us enjoying the moment right along with them . 18+
I really enjoyed this set of books. Several of the authors I had read and enjoyed before and it Introduced me to more of their series. As soon as I read the Alien Lottery winners story I went in and bought more of the series. I've already read several of Kim Fox's series. Her Blue Barbarian series was the next one I was going to read. I guess I'll be getting to it sooner now. I can't wait to read the next two stories. You get the idea. Well worth the read. You won't be disappointed.
I just found this kind of...meh. I actually DNF'd the last book in the set. Also, not sure why the full title of this is "New World Love: Alien Romance (Shifters in Love)" as there wasn't really any shifter theme to this. Thankfully this was a KU download.
Deceit by Harmony Raines tells the story of Marin and Elissa. Elissa is chosen in the lottery to marry a Karal, an alien race. The only problem is she never put her name in the lottery. Marin, one of the Karal, is chosen to marry Elissa. Can they get along since they are from two different worlds and with so much against them?
Caiden by V. Vaughn is the first book in the Greenville Mail Order Brides series. Caiden is from Eroscia and looking to take a bride. Mandy's friend, Lexi, is working on a dating web site and enters Mandy's name as a test run. As a joke, Mandy activates the membership, thinking it won't go through, but it does and soon Caiden is coming for her.
Alpha Alien by Flora Dare tells the story of Meli who has been raised on Earth, and Tlavi, the Madrelir who came to Earth and rescued her from being raped. Tlavi, his sister, Thea, and Meli go on an adventure together in space. Will Meli ever get back home? Better yet, does she want to?
Captured by the Alien Savage by Marina Maddix and Flora Dare tells the story of Jasmin who is a human and has been trying to get over a relationship with Trevor. Diviak is the alien commander who must try to find fuel for his ship so the ship can return home before his men go crazy. While on the quest to find fuel, Diviak discovers that Jasmin is his bride, but we'll she cooperate?
Warrior's Bond by Emma Alisyn. I had previously read this book as a standalone book. Here is the review I gave it at the time: I'm still new to alien romance, so this was a change of pace for me. I liked that Zoriah learned enough to not be the helpless, female lead that some romance novels favor. I liked that Brenyon struggled with learning the language.
Barbarian by Kim Fox with Juno Wells tells the story of Avery who went to the movies with a friend and wound up being captured by an alien ship. On the way to the alien planet, the ship is detoured and winds up on a planet with dinosaurs. Now Avery has to do the best she can to survive. Turic rescues Avery and spots her tattoo. Now he thinks she's going to save the planet from the dinosaurs.
Escape from Urba by Michele Bardsley tells the story of John Curtis who is a cop in Urba. He runs across Sylvie, who is a prostitute. He wants to protect her, and does his best. He finds out things about her past, and together they go on a rescue mission that just might destroy everything. Warning: this story leans more toward erotica than romance.
Breakwater Leo by Becca Fanning tells the story of Annie Heathcoat who was gambled away in marriage by her father to one of the worst men she's ever heard of. She escapes him, only to crash land close to where Captain Leo Ingram, a bear shifter, and his crew are making an illegal transaction. Her only chance of escape I'd to go with him and his crew, but is she going from bad to worse? I thought it was interesting to mix bear shifters with space stories.
Darkest Days by Catherine Vale tells the story of Celia Parsons who lives in a Dystopian New York City. Well, technically, she lives under it. The city has been taken over by giant, spider-like creatures, and the remaining humans have had to evacuate to the tunnels beneath the city. Dylan Hawke is the commander of the men, and women, fighting these creatures and Celia is a sniper under his watch. This was a good story, though I feel it didn't really belong in this box set because the two main characters are both human.
Lots of action, erotica, alphas and sexy strong woman make this series well worth reading. Well-developed characterization and well-written story line. This collection of novellas are just right to pick out your next favorite author. Enjoy
I loved this collection!!! Several of them I had read before in their single book form, but I re-read them because they were that good. I will say that the editing was not that great, but I just let that slide. These stories are HOT, so if you don't like that, don't read this one. Everyone gets a HEA of some form or another so that is good.
I have no clue on what I want to say. There were a few stories I enjoyed, a few that were ok and at least one I disliked. As many of you know my pet peeve is NOT editing by the authors. Gee what do you think happened this time around? Why of course NO EDITING!!! If free waste your time. If not free then STOP don't buy
Wonderful collection of paranormal romance and science fiction romance. The authors and publishers have done a great job of putting together these books to capture your attention and keep you entertained.
I'm still reading this book but wanted to go ahead and review as I read each story... Deceit by Harmony Raines***** Excellent alien romance. Very interesting storyline, although the breeding plot isn't unique, this is very well written and entertaining. I am looking forward to reading the next story in this series.
Caiden by V. Vaughn*** I love the mail-order theme. I was a little disappointed with this one though basically because it is way too short, the plot has potential but the book is just not long enough to explore their story.
Alpha Alien Part 1 by Flora Dare**** Very good start to the series, extremely short but still interesting plot. It's almost stand-alone but author plants enough curiosity to draw you into wanting to know what's happens next.
Captured by the Alien Savage by Marina Maddox & Flora Dare***** Great alien romance. Well laid foundation for the series. Even though the names were challenging for me to pronounce, Diviak and Jasmine bond instantly & I enjoyed their story. She is reluctant and resistant because it's not common on Earth for a man to be as totally committed to his woman the way he instantly is. For these alien's though it's a matter of life and death. Don't know what's up with the lost princess though, that was left unfinished but I'm sure that plot will resurface in future books.
Warrior's Bond by Emma Aislyn*** It's pretty good. Not enough elaboration on the alien side but Benyon is a very patient man. Zoriah is all over the place so he helps her have more calmness in her life. Not all aliens are okay with the mating of humans so they have a battle to fight to be a couple. I think Benyon is a great father figure and fell in love with her through his love for her kids.
Barbarian by Kim Fox & Juno Wells***** Love this alien romance!! Turic is kinda caveman like Tarzan, yummy! Avery & her dangerous weapon, of course have to save the alien planet from dinosaurs. Avery is hilarious and handles the involuntary relocation like a champion “Saku,” lol. Tin Tom (the robot) is useless and resourceful. I love this author’s writing style because there is always some humor which flows well & breaks the ice, makes the plot so much more refreshing & entertaining when I get to chuckle along as I read along…..I wonder what’s playing at my local movie theatre??? Lol, excellent read!!!
Escape from Urba by Michele Bardsley** I didn't really like this. It is more on the dark side of sci-fi. Not much going on in the romance department. It didn't flow well which made the plot was difficult to follow. Jake came across as a good guy, Sylvianna's life was too overwhelmingly sad to recover from in a short story.
Breakwater: Leo by Becca Fanning**** It was good to me, short and to the point. Annie ditched her zero of unwanted fiance and stumbled upon her bear hero. Bears in space, loved it!!
Darkest Days by Catherine Vale*** This has a pretty unique sci-fi alien plot but it was boring at times. The repetition killed the storyline. It's definitely dark so the title does fit. Absolutely no hint of romance mainly its 99% kill or be killed. Just not my cup of tea.
