The second half of the book is seriously packed with angst, and honestly, I was totally here for it. The emotional tension kept me invested in the characters’ messy journey. But I ended up skimming a bunch of parts because the leads were separated for way too long. Like, come on, I need my couple back together! That dragged a bit and pulled me out of the story. But when they finally reunited? Major feels! Watching the main character get all vulnerable and desperate for forgiveness was super moving. Overall, even though the separation kinda tested my patience, the angst and redemption arc made it a solid read.
