Aura and Zenjirou's son is born, leading to some nice family scenes. Zenjirou keeps helping his wife, learn magic and help the kingdom with (minor) technological progress. The only thing that made me wonder a bit was the section on the salt route. It felt a bit out of place, even if it added some action to the story and was an opportunity to show some world building. Maybe it gets a more direct tie in with Zenjirou and Aura at a later volume. Anyway, I enjoyed the quick slice-of-life marriage life and kingdom building of the two. A solid continuation of the series.

Zenjirou’s submissive life continues as due to a lack of birth control and fear of another pregnancy, he enters into a forced celibacy. He also has limited access to his child and is unable to freely speak to him. Otherwise, he is making some personal advances in his magic but has yet to accomplish anything of significance. He is more interested in AC unfortunately. The big subplot for this volume involves a wildlife menace, which is almost always boring especially when not resolved in one volume. Seems like we will have some more interesting developments soon but I’ll have to wait and see.
