Where the White Oak Speaks

Rate this book
Where the White Oak Speaks is an inspiring mystical tale about friendship, possibilities, dreams – and ultimately about the wisdom and power of the heart; a simple and profound parable for all ages about the journey and gifts of life. Where the White Oak Speaks is the story of a boy, who journeys into the woods not far from his home. Yet the true journey takes him beyond what he knows – of himself and of the world. Searching for adventure in his own backyard, Jacob is confronted with unlikely new friends and the magic of nature. His world is changed by a seemingly ordinary, elderly gentleman who transforms the mundane into the miraculous; a boy in a wheelchair, who has never spoken, smiled or engaged with the world around him; a rock once buried in the leaves; and a majestic white oak unlike any other. The surprising encounters awaken his curiosity, courage – and heart. In the process, Jacob discovers the essential wisdom of his heart and in following it, discovers himself.

Just a lovely, magical feel good story about hope and children and following your heart! I’m 57 and this is a young adult story which is also appropriate for children, but the message was great for me too!
