Update 09-01-17: A COURT OF MIST AND FURY was one of the most read books in the EROTICA GENRE this week. So please stop saying this trilogy isn't erotica.



Note I just found out: The coloring book doesn't include the erotic scenes, but be careful, Maas books aren't young adult books. They are just marketed like that but they are heavy on erotica content.

Also be sure to read the whole trilogy before buying because some illutrations are spoilers of the whole trilogy. It includes scenes of book 2 and 3.

*******The book series that originates this coloring book is a NEW ADULT/EROTICA SERIES, Not a young adult series*******


Wait a minute! But this is a coloring book, right? Not the series in which this coloring book is based on!

That's true. But there has been a lot of fake marketing and fake advertisment on this series, including Kirkus reviews labeling the book series as aproppiate for 14 YO readers. I'd love to bet that this book won't contain the most erotic scenes of the book series ( Meaning that we won't get a coloring page of the orgasm that shatter the mountains) , but the name of a children's imprint and the very fact that a coloring book is immediatly targeted to young audiences might give the wrong impression on the rest of the series and lure kids under the age of 17 to read the book series. Which as I said before, are erotica readings, not Young adult reads.






I'm not talking sex-scenes. Those have been present in multiple Upper YA books like Clockwork princess, Ignite me, City of heavenly fire, Graceling. I'm talking erotica scenes, fifty shades of grey style.

Ignite me has a not so graphic sex scene is mostly sensua imagery, but A court of mist and fury features erotica scenes

The fault in our stars and City of heavenly fire have very PG-14 sex scenes. But a court of mist and fury features erotica scenes

If you don't believe me read aloud pages 20,21 530, 531, 532, 533 538 and 539 of the american harcover version of a court of mist and fury to a group of underage kids. See if you don't find youself in trouble. And those aren't the only pages with adult content. Those are only the ones I'm using as example. There's way more.

So careful with this book. I'm not saying don't buy it. I'm saying don't play the game of the publishing company and treat this material as a safe material for underage kids. Do your research and get to your own conclusion. Just don't let young kids and children get any near the hardcover version of this series. It's like letting kids reading fifty shades of grey.

Also, the colouring book is full of complete spoilers for all 3 books so I'd definitely recommend reading all 3 of them completely before even looking at this book!!

This is the best colouring book I've ever seen because every page by Charlie Bowater is an actual masterpiece of art. Each of her pages has so much detail and skill compared to other colouring pages inspired by book/shows that I own. She also includes my favourite artwork of hers of the Night Court gang so you can colour it yourself, amazing! I'm really happy with this book and the price is an absolute steal for the beauty and awesomeness inside. I really recommend that everyone checks it out even if they don't buy it because you will be in awe.

The drawings are so well done, I almost want a get a second copy so I have a clean version!

I read it in about half an hour (plus the staring at the amazing artwork). It was absolutely amazing being reminded of some of the best scenes from one of my favorite series.

This is actually a kind of bad coloring book because it has like 5 different artists who illustrated for it which cause there to be conflicting art styles. One is very clearly digital (I can see pixels if I look really closely) and another has a more handmade look. This wouldn’t bother me as much if not for illustrations of the same characters being in the completely different styles (for example Rhysand and Amren look completely different in the different styles. The Rhysand made by one artist looks like a completely different character than the Rhysand made by another.) So I would say that the Throne of Glass coloring book is better since the art is more consistent.

I waited until finishing ACOWAR to go through every page in this colouring book, and wow, I am in love with all of the illustrations by Charlie Bowater. I'm not sure yet if I want to colour them in as they seem too beautiful to ruin. Maybe I'll buy another to cut out and hang up.

It's so unbelievably gorgeous that I couldn't help but buy two of them. Why, you ask? Well, because I have about as much artistic talent as a potato, and I figured that if I ruined one, at least I'd have a pristine backup to admire.

First of all, the cover alone is a masterpiece. It's so stunningly vibrant that it practically jumps off the shelf and yells, "Color me, you clueless human!" The intricate designs inside are nothing short of perfect. On one side the quote and on the other the picture.

Now, let's talk about my coloring skills, or lack thereof. You know those people who can effortlessly stay within the lines and create breathtakingly blended shades? Yeah, I'm the exact opposite of that. This coloring book is forgiving. It's like a patient teacher who gently whispers, "It's okay, sweetie, coloring outside the lines just means you have a unique perspective on life."

So, here I am, juggling two copies of this magnificent coloring book like a true art enthusiast. One pristine and untouched, and the other... well, a technicolor explosion of questionable artistic choices. But hey, at least I'm having a blast while doing it! So if you're like me, love ACOTAR but havekindergarden level coloring skills but still want to color, buy two.
