Transform Cast-Off Sweaters into Sweet Felted Treats"Warm Fuzzies" is filled with more than 30 cute and colorful projects made from wool sweaters, including cozy pillows and throws as well as stylish hats, scarves and handbags. There's something to make for everybody, including all the beloved "little creatures" in your life. Your pup will look adorable in the Haute Dawg Doggie Sweater, and your favorite princess will adore the Teacup Jumper with the playful mouse finger puppet tucked in the pocket. There are plenty of projects for grown-ups, too, like the Rainbow Bag with rows of colorful waves and the Rustic Throw with reverse applique leaves.
The best thing about these projects is how easy they are to make and there's no knitting involved! Simply throw old wool sweaters into the wash, then cut them apart to sew into felted goodies.
Start with the sweet Cupcake Pincushions–they're so easy, and so very cute!"
Simple instructions make these rather complex projects doable for those with limited crafting experience. Also, I like the reuse aspect and the info on deconstructing an old sweater. Projects I've tried: Nest Family Album and Christmas Stocking. Project's I want to try: Rustic Throw, Scrapwork Pillow, Christmas Ornaments, and Sunflower Kitty Nap N Play.
I am completely new to felting and this book is excellent at instructing beginners, while still offering some solid projects for more advanced felters as well.
Awesome, slightly more complex projects. I wanted to remember this book as a reference (around Xmas). Look out loved ones - more felted presents may be coming :)
The projects are all visually appealing. The book, however suffers from to flaws that make the projects unlikely to be made by me. First I found it difficult to find felt in the right colors and textures to make the projects look similar to the cute pictures in the book. Not everyone has access to a rainbow of thrift store sweaters waiting to be felted. I scoured the two thrift stores in my city every month for several months, but only found three wool sweaters. So much for making my own felt that way. I did end up buying some wool yarn in the colors I wanted, knitting it up on my kitting machine and felting those pieces, but that is definitely not the "thrifty" way to do it. Second, too many of the projects are for little kids. I am a mom of two, but they are too big for toddler projects. Children are only babies or toddlers for a very short time. I do not like it when multiple projects in a book are dedicated to such a small group yet the book is not marketed as a book of baby projects.
I tried the robot sweater pattern and it turned out SO CUTE! You should definitely post any projects you do from here on the Flickr group Betz's set up. The projects are so fun and so varied that you can make all of them and keep some, give some away, etc. It's so well done, the instructions are clear and the ideas are really great. A new favorite!
As a crafter myself, I really enjoyed this one. It has great ideas for turning old sweaters into something fabulous. Great for those that can't knit or crochet but want to make something that is still personal and handmade.
Warm Fuzzies presents the most creative ideas for upcycling your old clothes! Festive and creative, the possibilities are endless! I want to make everything in this book! The projects are unique and quite practical for everyday use!
If you've ever expressed interest in the craft of felting, I would recommend this book as a great overview of the tools and techniques needed to produce simple items of whimsy. Great illustrations and text. Simple patterns included.
This is a great introduction to sewing with felt. Packed with techniques, tools you'll need, stitches used, and patterns for the projects it is an invaluable resource. Projects include clothing, toys, and general pretties. Some of the templates would need to be enlarged.

I have yet to make any of these projects. I drove to the local Goodwill and bought three wool sweaters to felt and cut up. They are lying in my craft basket upstairs.
this is a great craft book with some really cute ideas of things to do with felted sweaters. i'm especially fond of the robot and owl applique patterns.
I have purchased some thrifted sweaters, and I have felted them already. I'm planning on making the cupcake pincusion. This book is full of really cute projects!
This is a really cute book. I would definitely try to make most, if not all, of the projects included (although perhaps with a few modifications here and there).
Creative ideas. Not many projects I would personally make, but others may enjoy. The puppet, mittens and a variation of the bomber hat may be ones I return to in the future.
