No surprise then that I'm now writing romantic suspense, and inspirational stories! I'm grateful to the Lord Jesus for His undeserved mercy and grace. I earned a Masters' Degree in International Affairs from American University, Washington DC; and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Professionally, I've been honored with multiple awards for pioneer academic research, student leadership and overall excellence. I'm a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers(ACFW) organization. I pen stories during evenings, weekends, and whenever the food takes too long to cook. Despite the many hurdles I've faced in life, God has been crazy faithful! I live in the beautiful State of Maryland.

The boxed set
These books can be read as a standalone but reading books in order gives you a more in-depth look at each character and the storyline
Suspense oozes from the pages in each book as the battle between good and evil continues
God is at the forefront in each and every book.
An advance copy of the set was given to me and the opinions expressed are my own.
Book 1
This is a book about Peter and Ruby, friends since childhood.
The suspense keeps you going as they run from the New Rulebook.
In the process, they find romance and Ruby finds The Lord.
Book 2
In this second book of the series, henchmen, Ruby Masters again is drawn into one of Peter Zendle's plot to overthrow the world.
She races to a small town in Western Maryland to help the people get rid of henchmen, who have taken over the town leaving behind Robert and her wedding plans.
We see God at work as he protects the group of people that rally behind Ruby as she helps the people of Snow Peaks.
I loved the storyline, the suspense and the dramatic end of the book.
I am very anxious for the next one.
Book 3
Book three of this series brings together for the final battle and the answer to all their questions'
Ruby and Robert are finally getting married and life is good but the uninvited guest draws them back into the battle of good versus evil.
Armed with God's power they again, backed by their amazing team, venture out to save the world again.
Twists and turns, heart-stopping suspense bring this story to a conclusion.
Book 4
Wow!! Another fantastic book in the New Rule Book series
We see God's love and protection at work as we see Robert and Ruby's struggle.
Decoy
Joy Ohagwu's first word in Decoy grabbed and held me until the last word.
The suspense was intense and I loved the storyline and the characters.
The book shows we need to be still and listen to the Lord's heeding.

The New Rulebook from Joy Ogwu is a great suspense series based on Christian principles. The story is exciting but also moving and faith building. The story makes you think about your own life, what place God and His promises have in your life and how you deal with them. The series has great characters that you get to know well. The story is very exciting and captivating until the end. Joy knows how to keep the tension in and always give it a great twist.The series is a great example of how to live the Christian life. Some fragments are so real and moving that they touch your heart deeply.

Has God every changed your life as a testimony for Him. He is faithful to those who call on His name. This is a great story about how God intervenes because of faithful prayers in the midst of lies and betrayal.

Wow! Awesome series! I didn't want to stop reading! I loved the characters and the love story. I loved the suspense!

This series has a really good story-line. Sometimes, the author was a little too wordy, but overall, the story was good...until you got to the book, Vanished. It was like the characters took on a whole new personality.
Our main couple have been married for 15 years by now and there has been NOTHING to indicate there were ever any issues in their marriage...sounds like a wonderfully, happy marriage. When one of them disappears, the other automatically thinks they've left them?? Why? There was no reason for that to happen...the all of a sudden self-doubt was rather irritating, because it was so out of character.
I would still recommend this to anyone that likes a good suspense story.

I love all joy's books. They are good exciting reads. I like reading books that don't have cuss words and don't have sex in them. Love the scriptures

I was up all night reading Books 2, 3 and 4 of THE RULE BOOK series. This is a well-written series that pulled out so many emotions from me that I just couldn't stop reading until I found out how it ended.
Each book in the series had some things that surprised me because I was trying to turn when the story twisted.
The suspense parts of each book really were outstanding and had my heart racing. Best suspense writing, in my opinion, in Religious Suspense writing.
I highly recommend reading this entire series!

Best friends Ruby Masters and Sargent Robert Towers had to work together in the past to defeat Pete Zendle and his New Rule Book. Because of her previous success against Mr. Zendle, Ruby is asked to assist again in subsequent instances where he is trying to take over. Along the way Ruby and Robert discover that maybe they can be more than friends. Ruby's eyes are opened and she discovers the importance of relying on Christ in her life and calling on him for help.

I really enjoyed most of the stories in this collection with only the odd niggles here and there. I thought the last book was the best as you can really feel the tension building and have a good insight into what someone in Red's position would be going through. It made a great conclusion to the series.
The other two books were also an enjoyable read and overall this is an exciting read.

This is edge of your seat suspense at its best! Each of the stories builds to a crescendo, then...boom a solution that is mind boggling. Clean and very well written. I highly recommend this series.
