Shower sex, sweaty sex, gay sex, and ménage sex during a vicious hurricane. Hey, crazy weather makes people do crazy things.
A native Virginian, Sara sold her first published romance novel, FLASH OF DARK, an urban fantasy romance pitting vampires against the Fae, in 2009. Since that fateful day, she's published over 20 books in various sub-genres of romance, been generously honored with several awards, and saved the world from evil chocolate chip cookies.
Though she may insist otherwise, Sara loves the places her mind conjures and has always been fascinated by the strange, the unusual, the twisted and the lost (tortured heroes are her personal favorite). She is an action movie junkie, addicted to coffee and has been known to stay up until the wee hours of the morning playing RPG video games. Despite all this geekiness, she is a romantic at heart and is always a sucker for an excellent love story.
Dr. Kate Sinclair is a fiesty risk taker and adrenaline junkie, who is a storm chaser and teaches forecasting at the University of Oklahoma. Snyder Morgan and Tripp Dawson have been storm chasing partners and lovers for the past nine years. As fellow storm chasing colleagues, Kate met Morgan and Tripp five years ago while hunting down tornadoes and hurricanes. While working together chasing a tornado in Kansas, a mutual secret sexual desire by the guys to have Kate join them in a threesome explodes into a night of uninhibited passion that lives up to everything all three of them had hoped for. But the next morning Kate has second thoughts about this new part of their relationship, she doesn't want to get in between Morgan and Tripp, so she regretfully leaves them to chase the next storm. A few months later, the hurricane season is heating up and the trio once again is together storm chasing after a powerful hurricane. When the hurricane intensifies, they find themselves hunkering down to ride out the storm, and their dormant sexual tension and passion is reignited once again, and there's no time like the present to get it all out in the open!
Chasing Sin is one hell of an adrenaline rush of a novella! With an intertwining storyline consisting of storm chasing and a menage a trois, the highly sex charged action packed story exudes enough raw passion, heat and adrenaline that is sure to scorch the pages! I really liked how the author balances the intertwining storylines, I think it made the story that much more compelling and entertaining.
The author provides a cast of characters that are just plain hot! Their sexual interludes combined with the tension filled drama of storm chasing makes their mutual relationship sizzle to the point where it is combustible. Kate is one lucky lady to have two men desire her and want a passionate relationship filled with steamy uninhibited, no-holds-barred menage a trois nights of sex! Oh the imagination is a beautiful thing!
From the first page to the last, the author has created a sexually charged erotic tale that has non-stop sizzling action, so be prepared to buckle up because you'll be going along for one hell of thrill ride when you read this story!
If you like to read a sizzling erotic story that will get your juices flowing with a mixture of drama and an adrenaline junkies' passion for action, then Chasing Sin is the one for you, you won't be disappointed! *wink, wink*

“She’s fucking insane.”
With that opening declaration, we are dropped in the middle of a wild ride toward a dangerous storm somewhere in Kansas. Kate may be chasing the tornado, but Tripp and Snyder are chasing her. After a near-death experience, it seems only natural that Kate would finally turn to the two men she loved best to comfort and pleasure each other the rest of that long night.
In spite of all the shared passion, Kate runs away before Tripp and Snyder can convince her that their love is not complete without her. She manages to avoid seeing them until three months later, when an impending hurricane is about to hit Kate’s beloved family vacation home. That had been the only place where she had been happy as a child and where she had planned to rest and make some important decisions about her life. Kate is there to ride out the storm, Tripp and Snyder are there to convince her that they all belong together.
Kate’s fear of commitment appears to stem from the lack of love and acceptance in her immediate family and her concern that she would ultimately ruin what she sees as the perfect relationship Tripp and Snyder already have with each other. But with a killer hurricane heading straight for them, it’s not just their love that’s in danger.
It takes great skill for an author to provide everything a reader needs to enjoy an erotic romance novella. In a relatively small amount of pages, we need to see how these people know each other, why they would want to be together and still include at least one really great sex scene. I’m happy to say that for me, Sara Brookes did all that in this story and did it very well. We see right away how Kate, Tripp and Snyder are all obsessed with getting as close as they can to dangerous storms and how that shared compulsion binds the three of them in a unique way. That need to live on the edge feeds something in each of them, but Tripp and Snyder also realize that there’s more to life than just racing around looking for the next big storm. That is why they continue to chase Kate, hoping one day to help her see that she needs them just as much as they need her.
I especially loved how their three personalities fit so well with each other, both sexually and emotionally. Kate was as wild as the storms they all chased, always searching for the happiness she’d never had and wasn’t sure she deserved. Tripp was the quiet sensitive one who almost seemed to know what Kate was feeling before she realized it herself. Snyder was the more dominant personality, the one who always made sure the others were safe and protected. Their convincing emotional connections made the erotic moments more compelling and the ending more satisfying.
A less talented author could write volumes and still not manage to convey what Sara Brookes has in only 77 pages. I would love to see what she can write in a less limited format.
As if the heat of summer doesn't make you sweat enough, Chasing Sin by Sara Brookes has come along to turn up the heat even more in this sexually steamy erotic menage story. Set amidst the backdrop of the dangerous and exhilirating world of storm chasing comes this story about a long term relationship between two men and the one woman they feel will complete them.
Kate is a strong willed woman who feels alone in the world because of a childhood of neglect. It's led to an adulthood of recklessness and feelings of being able to only rely on herself. Too many risks and close calls have led Snyder and Tripp to intervene though. And oh how they intervene! One memorable night of passion has Kate running from the happiness and love Snyder and Tripp offer her for a reason both annoying, and yet well hidden from the reader. It's not until they look death in the eye, courtesy of a deadly hurricane, that Kate decides she doesn't want to be alone anymore, but by then it might be too late.
Snyder and Tripp are a sexy couple secure in their relationship but willing to open their hearts to one more who makes their bond even stronger. As their menage heats up, so too does the weather. The juxtaposition between the chaos of the hurricane and their intensifying relationship makes the blood pump as you turn the pages and leads to a heart pounding conclusion after the final page is turned. You get a deep sense of the importance of this relationship and how much better it will make things for Kate if she just accepts their love and support.
The sexual interludes in this story are many and varied, with some involving single pairings and others involving all three, so there's definitely something for everyone here. Fans of the erotic will find much to satisfy them in Chasing Sin and will still be running on adrenalin from the intensity of such a unique relationship long after the final page is turned.
Kate is a storm chaser that sometimes gets in way over her head, but she has a very keen sense of where storms are headed. She is never wrong. When her jeep is totalled by a tornado she was in the path of, Snyder and Tripp are done with waiting for her to notice them. They have been in love with her forever and now they are determined to make her theirs.
With one night of passion, I couldn’t understand why she would run away from these men who are just as much adrenaline junkies as she is. The men are more hurricane chasers than tornado, but they float back and forth between the two with ease. When Kate leaves the next morning, more like sneaks out the door, the two men are left with more questions than answers.
When the three end up on an island with a hurricane headed straight for them, truths start to flow along with passion once again not letting them go. Snyder and Tripp are a committed couple, but they want Kate to round them out.
When I started this book, I was so excited to see tornado chasers! I live in tornado alley and am no stranger to tornadoes destroying lives. Heck, we had one tear through our backyard 6 years ago on July 4 and take out our kids playhouse cottage along with some of the neighbors properties being damaged. So when I read the imagery of Kate’s truck being thrown into someone’s house, I could relate. What kind of got me was why Kate let the men love her. It seemed mostly for release. But the next morning she couldn’t handle being between the two men and left. We learn later why.
When they all get thrown on an island together, I love how Snyder and Tripp set plans to get her back, but they really don’t seem conniving. The two men really need a break from things to reconnect and what better way than with the woman they both love.
A steamy romance that has action, passion, heartbreak and a surprise ending.
Chasing Sin is a super hot novella from Sara Brookes. It tells the tale of Kate, a woman who risks her life chasing violent storms in order to collect data on them and help understand them better. Her closest friends Snyder and Tripp share her passion. But more than that, as well as being lovers, they also want Kate in their bed - and their lives.
When a situation gets out of hand, Tripp and Snyder are forced to intervene and try to make Kate see sense. Sexual tension between the three of them boils over, and the boys get what they've wanted for so long - an explosive night of no-holds-barred sex. Sadly, though, that's as far as it goes. Although the men wanted more, Kate decides that she doesn't want to get in between what they have together, and leaves. Tripp and Snyder are far from happy - but can't really do anything about it as their jobs force them far away from Kate.
A few months down the line, however, and the three of them are forced together once more. They're facing down a powerful hurricane together, and when things take a turn for the worst, they must stick together and hope that they live through the storm. But in the meantime, their close proximity means that there's time to talk about their situation, and act on the passion that's flared up once more.
Chasing Sin is a fabulous read. It's unique, well-written, has fabulous characters and totally hot sex. If you like ménage stories where the guys are getting it on with each other as well as the girl, then you should definitely check this out. It's smokin'!
Kate is a storm chaser who seems to thrive on putting herself in the middle of extreme situations. But when she finds herself in the middle of Snyder and Tripp, she discovers something that stirs up her world and scares the life out of her.
Snyder and Tripp chase storms, but they have been in a solid relationship with each other for nine years. They've known Kate for five of those years and always felt like she was an addition they'd like to make to their unit. When they finally get her to agree, they spend a passionate night together and think they finally have everything they've wanted.
Kate is scarred by childhood being raised by parents who cared more about their social status and possession than their children. While this doesn't seem to bother Kate's brothers, she troubled by it and has spent her adult life living as an adrenaline junkie to try and hide that pain. With Synder and Tripp she finally feels like she's found a place where she belongs, but she's not sure coming between the two of them is what they need.
Snyder and Tripp spent a lot of time together and separately convincing a skiddish Kate of what they want and trying to understand how she feels (which is almost impossible since she rarely voices her feelings). It seems Kate's more comfortable and showing the boys how she feels.
The story is an adrenaline high. Not only from the hot, hot, hot, hot sex our threesome have but also from the storm chasing that goes on. It's a toss up about which part of the story I like the best, because together when those storylines converge it's like an F5 tornado!
Kate’s suicidal chasing of storms is brought to heel for a night when the duo storm chasers, Snyder and Tripp, pull her into the calming eye of their sex storm. The ménage between the three is smoking hot. The various sexy positions are finger licking good. Ms. Brookes writes some of the smexiest m/m/f ménage. The fact that her ménages require a relationship between all three of the lovers is what makes it so hot.
In Chasing Sin, Kate is one of the premier storm chasers with dead on instinct. Her uncanny ability to predict where a storm cell will form as well as the path travelled is unparalleled. Apparently this instinct is counterbalanced by her complete inability for a healthy relationship. It is never fully revealed why Kate strongly objects to a stable relationship. Veiled hints of a troubled family dynamic do not cut it. It is a loose annoying thread in the story.
Snyder and Tripp are established lovers who admire and desire Kate. Their pursuit is sweet in the face of her inexplicable rebuffs. Why Snyder and Tripp want Kate is puzzling. Kate is damaged goods with commitment phobias and unresolved childhood abandonment issues. It’s never quite clear how she was exactly abandoned. She comes across as a poor little rich girl which does not endear her to this reader. Despite her flaws, she is a giving lover and when she hits the sheets, wall or shower stall with the lovely men, sparks fly. It’s a whirlwind of hot sweaty sex. It’s really the sex which carries this story through. It’s delicious and just the right amount. This book is recommended to ménage lovers who enjoy some sheeting burning sex.
I have been waiting for something like this to come by! I absolutely love watching Discovery Channel and I've watched a lot of Storm Chasers during my life time... which is why I jumped at the chance to read Chasing Sin which is a very very yummy erotic ménage love story!
I usually don't go for the M/M ( that's male on male for those who are new to the term ) stories, basically because those don't really do anything for me - but I do make exception for M/M/F stories especially when they really are love stories - I can't seem to find anything hotter on contemporary genre than two men chasing one girl!
Now there is one thing that almost put me off the novel in the beginning - Kate was bit too stubborn and volatile for my liking, she was behaving like a brat, even trying to hit one of the guys after they saved her life, if at that moment the story hadn't taken a romantic turn I think I might have stopped reading. Of course as the story continued you got to know Kate and realize she had the temper of the tornadoes she hunted it made perfect sense, but at the beginning it wasn't appealing.
That said, there was so much I loved about this novel, the storm chasing, Snyder and Tripp going after Kate, the blossoming love, no love triangle worries and the fact that Brookes writers great characters and a good plot! Chasing Sin is contemporary erotic romance ménage at it's finest!
Ms. Brookes has done a wonderful job with just the right amount of romance, adventure, angst, and hot sex! I love that the characters are scientists/storm chasers. I felt a real "kinship" with them weathering a hurricane in Kate's hometown in Texas. I have lost two homes to hurricanes in my life so I can def relate! The relationship between Snyder and Tripp is great, they are so devoted to each other. I was anxiously awaiting to find out if Kate was going to be a part of their HEA or stay out there on her own. I highly recommend if you like m/m/f with an awesome adventure and love story thrown in! Copy for review courtesy of the author.
Chasing Sin is one stormy read! Think the movie Twister with some erotic scenes throw in. When we first meet Snyder, Tripp and Kate they are chasing a wild storm. The lovers are tired of seeing Kate taking chances they decide to give her a new kind of thrill. Just like the storms they chase, their sexual encounters are wild and no hold barred. Not everything is clean and simple as a storm and Kat leaves. Thankfully, Mother Nature has a sense of humor and brings the lovers back together again.
This book is exciting in and out of the bedroom. There is hot M/M action as well as MMF ménage à trois and all are oh so yummy. Lucky for me there is more to this book than just sex. There is just enough character development in this short read to have me liking all three. Anyone who’s taste in erotic stories ventures on the exciting thrill side will enjoy Chasing Sin. I know I did.
I received this book from JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.
Chasing Sin was hot as sin too. Very good short story with a menage, mfm. Actually the two men, Snyder and Tripp are mm, but wants Kate between them. It's been a while since I read this, so I can't really remember if there are some mm action (sorry), but the mfm is definitly hot.
I'm really impressed by the author managing to include so much in a short novella. There's a lot of action (and not just between the sheets), romance, love, commitment issues and a nice little twist at the end. Good and believable characters and setting.
This book started out great! I loved the intensity of the storm chase and then the subsequent passionate love scene between these three. Regrettably, I wish I had stopped reading right after it because the story became predictable and all kinds of awkward the further I read. I was expecting more from this one, but it definitely fell short of expectations.
It's becoming clear that it's hard to write a menage where one of the participants is not the odd man out. Here the female lead was definitely more of an interloper than an equal partner. The chemistry between the boys was good though.
