I expected the wedding to be a bit crazy, we knew Marco was still in play and gunning for Tiff and others on the Sidewinders team. So when that action happened I was surprised, but holy cow, was I surprised at what happened with the rest of the book and what happened in Russia. It was hard to read, so many misunderstandings between Tessa and Toli and they couldn't talk frankly, which hurt things more. Then you had Toli's father's issues come into play and so much that Toli wasn't aware of but sort of done in his name. It led to some stunning moments! I was glad that Toli and Tessa had great friends that had their back and did what they could to help. The ending to this one was bitter sweet. Toli and Tessa are living their HEA, but there were some prices paid along the way.

Las Vegas Sidewinders: Toli & Tessa by Kat Mizera is the latest installment in her hockey series and brings us the wedding of Tessa & Toli and all that ensues after it. This series should be read in order to really enjoy the complexity of the characters and the ongoing story but at the least "Anatoli" Book 4 should be read before this one.
Toli couldn't be happier to marry Tessa, he planned the entire day down to the smallest detail so when his plans turn upside down he needs to know why which means returning to his homeland. Tessa loves her husband and wants to meet his family but everything is moving so fast her head is spinning. Once on Russian soil it seems to Tessa that Toli is acting completely different and cold towards her which makes her question why the change and what is going on?
One thing I love about this series is the crazy things that happen to the characters. When you least expect it, bam you'll get a twist and turn you didn't see coming. Tessa & Toli burn up the page again and it's hard not to need a cold shower reading these two together. My only fault with this novel was Tessa's over reaction to an event and the rehashing of said event. Did this ruin the book for me? No way. Kat's series is by far one of the most original hockey romances you will ever read. 4 Stars for Las Vegas Sidewinders: Toli & Tessa by Kat Mizera

I like the characters in this series but the storyline was a bit much for me.

This was a really exciting, romantic thriller.....Toli plays for the LA Sidewinders and is marrying Tessa the love of his life but his family connections in Russia are about to encroach a little too close to home and a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues..I thought the plot was original and engrossing...full of intrigue and angst but at the same time balanced with humour ...
I loved the close friendships and the relationships between the different characters and the exchanges between them demonstrated their obvious loyalty, respect and love for each other...Toli and Tessa were also great together and I was rooting for them all the way as their relationship was tested by the events that unfold ...
I do think my enjoyment would have been enhanced if I had read the earlier books in the series first and it is my intention to do so now...that said this was a fast paced, thrilling read which I could not put down....

I loved this book so much. Watching as Toli and Tessa work to get married and celebrate their day, we know it is overshadowed by Marco. What if anything does Marco do on this day and why is it being threatened? What is the day like for Toli and Tessa? What extra protections has Toli taken to make sure the day goes off without a hitch? Does it work? When Toli and Tessa go to Russia to visit his parents with his brother, son and Tessa's daughter, what happens? This book is full of intrigue, lies, innuendos, assumptions, etc. It was a book that I could not stop reading even when my eyes grew heavy with needing sleep. Such a great read and I look forward to any further books in the series!

The plot twists so unexpected and shocking you ‘ll think you are playing twister on a tilt a whirl rollercoaster!
Characters with such a depth in backstories and fleshed out that you will feel you know them, love them, cry for them, fight for them!
The international intrigue written so realistically, it could be a Tom Clancy plot…
Seriously! Go get the series…
They could be read individually; However, the layers each character brings builds along the series..And you see /feel the characters developing into this tight unit you really want to know, love and be a part of.

A new book in the Las Vegas Sidewinders world. It continues the story that began in Antoli, so you might want to read that one first. Even if you are not a ice hockey ( like me) it is a great read. The focus of the story is with the main characters and their relationship.
Tessa & Toli”s wedding day ends in a disaster and now they have to move forward, but Toli has secrets. Those secrets, distance and insecurities all try and ruin their relationship. I did get a little annoyed with Tessa for jumping to conclusions and making rash decision without talking to Toli. She keeps assuming things. There isn’t much trust.
It is a beautiful, well written book, with funny, sweet, tender and sexy moments.

I absolutely loved this book. There were times when I didn't like Toli, times where I didn't like Tessa, and all I wanted to do was scream at them until they were back to normal. The reasoning behind their actions made sense for the character and their pasts, but it was frustrating (in a good and realistic way). One of the wonderful things about this book is that it is realistic. Maybe not for the average person, but for some, the situations the characters find themselves in, could actually happen. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good read, but make sure you have several hours to devote to it because chances are you won't put it down until you've finished it.

As such, I had never heard of - much less read - any of the other "Las Vegas Sidewinders" books, so I felt like I was missing a lot in this book as a stand-alone that perhaps, by now, has been supplied in the previous books. That said, this book was well written in terms of readability and grammar skills. I found that the writing was sometimes a little cliche and overly sappy/melodramatic given the reader's intimacy with the characters, and that at the end, the main thrust of the book was "much ado about nothing." I felt like I couldn't really bond with any of the characters because all the conflict was implied or obviously (to the reader) just a misunderstanding.
Since this is part of a series, I'm not sure what my conclusion is. I think the best I could say about it is that it SEEMS like what "Two Towers" is to the LOTR series: characters mate, die, move into position with a great deal of fanfare, but ultimately nothing really happens. I just wish that I could feel like I bonded with these characters to care about what happened to them.

Tessa and Toli's special day starts of with a bang and not a good one, we get to find out a lot more about Toli and his families life back in Russia and what lurks in the shadows over there. At times I felt like Toli and didn't know who to trust or if things would change so much it would be the end of Toli and Tessa along with Toli and the sidewinders. Some surprises, twists and friends coming together make this an awesome read.

This is a continuation of Toli and Tessa but mainly it gives more insight into Toli's life in Russia. Again it is full of surprises and I could not put it down. My favorite parts are when the friends and teammates are so willing to help each other out no matter what. The love story does not hurt either.

Loved this book
The books in this series just keep getting better and better, I laughed, cried and just fell in love with the characters more and more. To have friendships like they do and the way they are there for each other is awesome. You will love this book

Toli and Tessa's happy ending does not come cheap, easy or without heartache! Thier HEA leaves you wanting more and on the edge of your seat throughout the entire story.

This is a different side of Toli than I've read in the past and it was painful. Toli and Tessa really struggle with their relationship while in Russia but as much as they love each other, they will have to work it out.

I was looking forward to the conclusion of Toli and Tessa's HEA, only to find myself thrown from the world of hockey to intrigue and remnants of the cold war. Toli returns to Russia with his new wife, step daughter, and son in the aftermath of the attempt on his life at the wedding. There are only more questions and secrets raised about his father's past with the KGB. Other forces come into play that could cause Toli to lose Tessa and even his son, in his quest for answers
Needless to say that this book threw me off at first but I was quickly sucked in and ended up enjoying this book.

Toli and Tessa is a continuation of the Las Vegas Sidewinders Series. This story had me captivated from page one. Full of twists, turns, surprises and a hot steamy romance too. It gives us more information about Toli's life in Russia and his wedding with Tessa. The characters are well developed and full of life. This is a great, keep you on the edge of you seat, book. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Toli and Tessa (Las Vegas Sidewinder book 6) by Kat Mizera
YES!!!!!!! This book was an absolute pleasure to read. I have found it rare when an author writes a series that all the characters we met in the first book continue to be major characters in subsequent books. Kat has created a series that I found myself eager to read. I’m not a fan of sport romances but these were different. The stories are intriguing and not geared around the sports aspect but rather a complex story that usually has murder, lies, deceit, psycho ex’s, love, lust and more than anything else a strong sense of family. Book 6 is no exception.
As we know Toli was planning to wanted to have the biggest wedding possible and the first few chapters help us get back into that mind set. He has planned every detail and hired the top of the line security company to keep everyone safe. He spared no expense to ensure it was the wedding of Tessa’s dreams. There is still a fear that Marco is still after Tiff and anyone who helped her escape from Switzerland.
Naturally since this is the first few chapters of the book you know that the HEA doesn’t happen at the wedding or the reception. On the contrary, these are the chapters that set the rest of the book where we experience an emotional roller coaster. The wedding is beautiful and Toli and Tessa got through the ceremony without any issues. Can’t say the same for the receptions however.
I’m not one to provide any real details in my reviews but I will say this. All hell breaks out at the reception when Marco shows up with a team of men to take Tiff back with his. Obviously, this doesn’t sit well with the Sidewinders (Dom, Zakk, Toli, Drake, etc). Toli stands up to Marco. Erin decides to take invasive action to stop the gunmen and asks Tiff to cause a distraction since Marco is there for her. Erin was able to acquire a gun from one of the killed security guards and is able to shot Marco to death along with a couple of his men but…….Erin is shot in the chest. Not going to give anymore away because this is where I was balling like a baby.
The story only spirals from here and absolutely on pins and needles the entire time. I read this book in one sitting that goodness because I had to know what was coming next. We learn a great deal about Toli’s father and his role in the KGB over the years and his need to protect his family. The complexity of the family dynamic along with the secret organizations, spies, mafia and promises made year earlier all lead to a fitting end to Toli and Tessa’s story.
I have no doubt we will see these characters in any future book in this series but I feel their story has been told in its entirety.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series of the Las Vegas Sidewinder.

Kat, I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down, from page one I was hooked. Toli is my favorite sidewinder, thus far. These books keep getting better and better. The characters have so much chemistry the pages are steamy. All I can say now is what's next?

Tessa & Toli still rank my favorite couple in this series
I was so excited when I heard that Tessa & Toli were getting another book. I was blown away by the twists & turns in this story. I had sweaty palms & a fast beating heart during the reception scene. I really thought that the story would "settle down" after that, but oh no! I was on the edge of my seat through this book. Thank you for Another 5 star book!!
