Darkness Outside and In

Rate this book
The other side of the City is revealed to Nicole. Ordinary people have rarely set foot in the City's catacombs, and the stone vaults have almost never heard human voices. However, the Wrong Side is filled with the rustling of beastly claws, the growling of werewolves, and the shrieks of ghosts. Captured by the two Inquisitors who serve the Shadow, Nicole finds herself in a hellish underground prison. There seems to be no way out. She is not the only one in mortal peril — Gumshoe is gravely injured, with poison flowing through his veins. However, that won’t stop him from rushing to her rescue. And Nicole is hardly one to bow before the enemy.

Exciting

Wonderful mystery that flows smoothly from book to book. The good guys turn bad and the bad guys turn good. Will Nichole find all her Grandmother's clues? Will the Wrong side get her? Very exciting.

I thought this one was better than the last. The underworld is very interesting. As are some of the relationships which Nicole has made since she came to the city.

Okay

Continuation of series. Writing is okay. More adventures with Nicole and Gumshoe. Can they again escape from evil's clutches and return to safety.

Another easy and expected read especially if you are familiar with the game ... though there was a twist...

I finished this book a year ago. I liked it because I play a game it lines up with. Hidden City. It helped me understand the story line behind the game and the people/characters involved.
