Okay so this series is apparently set in Australia

Right, not sure I'd picked that up before but this is an Australian setting apparently. Odd, as there's nothing really which has given it an Aussie flavour in the first book.

In this one there's a bit more world development, we find out a bit more about pack dynamics and gamma wolf Jordan, who ran off in book one, comes back and finally mates with Alpha Aaron.

The Rogues are still causing a threat and changes are slowly coming to the pack.

Inconsistent, repetitive and the highlight pissed me off beyond belief.

There is a lot of that type of misogyny in the series as well as bigotry between the ‘classes’ of wolves.

I already own the third book so I’ll read it but I don’t have high hopes.

What a great story! Aaron and Jordan both have their past but together they became stronger. I loved the connection between them and the way Aaron was understanding of Jordan but determined to make Jordan see his full potential. I look forward to reading Brad’s story when it releases.

I loved this book! The continuation of plot from the second one was great but also I just plain loved Aaron and Jordan's love story! The only complaint I have is I wished I had been able to hear Jordan get everything off his chest and Aaron helping him get through it. I get that the plot line took precedence though so I am willing to overlook it lol. I cannot wait to read more of Jordan changing the pack for the the better and seeing how he fits in more and more as time goes on. I would love another book on them later on. I think these two are my favorite couple in the series so far. There is one more book in the series up for preorder though so I guess I will just see that is first before I let Aaron and Jordan take favorite couple.

This was by far the best book out of the series. I inadvertently read the third book in the series before reading this and I’m really glad I went back and read this one anyway. Unlike the other two books in the series, I actually liked both of the MCs. Jordan and Aaron were so good together. I liked that the only conflict between the two was Jordan’s insecurity and sense of inadequacy with being the alpha mate. I was happy with how this conflict was resolved.

The war with the rogues continued and I thought that story plot was good. I really wish the rest of the series was as good as this book was.

While the writing is slightly better from the first book in the series, the characters again have the potential of becoming interesting and perhaps even have the added value of how to deal with a person coming from an abused background - the way the author deals with those issues is rather dry.
We never get an explanation of when or how Jordan leaves his abusive mother - and the woman is never mentioned other than in his memories.

My biggest problem is that the author is dealing with a small community and we never get the sense of familiarity that is usually the case for such a community. Why don't all characters know who the 5 alpha future-leaders are in a community that is based on this hierarchy?

In the first book it's almost forgivable as we are introduced along with Reagan. Yet in the second book that sense of small-community is lacking. Even if there IS a broken community - we don't get to experience it. We don't get a feel of how the Gamma systems actually works and what their 'neighborhood' feels like on the inside aside from the bad memories of Jordan's mother - we don't experience the day-to-day of the hard living gammas before realizing how disconnected it is from the rest of the Beta-Alpha community.

Other than the main characters - sideline characters conveniently come and go, the BABY that was born in the previous book in the series is suddenly non-existential, and overall it seems like the writer again had an idea of how the plot is going to happen: A-B-C-D, but it's not so much character-driven as much as the author is playing barbies with the characters and maneuvers them to their convenience regardless of creating reliability.

*So while the potential is there, it feels like the world-building of the series is lacking and large questions are ignored:
*Is there a local school everyone goes to where the seperation starts?
*Is the poverty of gammas the reason why they are skinny? Is it the cause of diseases? Who's the one to declare when each wolf is born what his status will be - is it inherited?
*If some gammas lose their minds b having to work in the same place their whole life - what happens to those gammas?
*Where is that baby from the first book?
*Where are pregnant women and elderly in general? Why don't we meet them?
*What unique ceremonies does such a community hold - what is there spiritual guidance? If they are simply christians - why don't we see them at church? Is the minister an Alpha?

And you know what - if the plot was just an excuse for steamy sex scenes I'd have been slightly ok.
But even the sex scenes are rather average and don't seem to consider the unique characters - if Jordan came from an abusive home - how would that reflect on his sexuality?

Overall, it's an okay read to pass the time, but I wouldn't pick this book up again for a second read

If I’ve learnt anything since meeting you guys, it’s this. You don’t fuck with Fate, Jordan. You’d be an idiot to try. - Reagan

Aaron's Mate takes place between the chapters and epilogue of Grayson's Mate. I really appreciated the involvement of that books protagonists Grayson and Reagan, Reagan in particular. I quite liked Aaron and Jordan, Jordan is a strange one. In the best possible way. He's an Omega he wants to serve, he was raised by a mother with some homophobic tendencies. Between Aaron and Jordan there is a lot of self-doubt and insecurity.

It's a really short story at only 120 pages. As such it escalates really quickly, and I did worry about the levels of consent. But there was missing details and opportunities. Jordan and his Mother, Marcus (but perhaps more to come there), the confession, the realisation. Realistically it feels like there are two chapters missing. I'm glad I read it, it continues the story started the previous book. I don't think I'll be reading book three in the series, Brad's Mate, which appears to be a gay for you story. Due to the number of missed opportunities, the length of the book, and the various things I didn't like I couldn't give this more than 3 stars.

***I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

I loved each book in the series as they were well written and easy to read. For some they can be read in one setting. They made me smile and sometimes laugh. They had some suspense and drama without moving for me out of the still romance category. There are sexual situations and scenes in these books although nothing overtly hardcore but you should be aware of them.

Aaron's Mate Book 2:

As the oldest alpha of the current generation that hasn't found his mate his longing has reached the physical discomfort stage. His joint aches are but one torment that he feels these days. His mate however is very near him and his mate has avoiding alerting Aaron or anyone else to his presence. He's a gamma wolf one of those at the bottom tier of the wolf/community hierarchy. His mother's hatred fueled bile and his standing in the pack keeps him from coming forward since he feels unworthy of being an alphas mate. Greyson's mate Reagan clues him in as to who his mate is. Aaron's too late to find him however. Reagan plays matchmaker after finding Jordan in a coffee bar in town and brings the two together. These individuals have a number of obstacles just as Greyson and his mate faced and more.

A bit inconsistent, but enjoyable

I'm not entirely show that I understand Jordan's mother in this book. It's not like she was a shifter, though she grew up in a society that was supposed to not care about sexuality so much that they didn't even have a word for being gay vs straight, it was all just a mating. And yet, Jordan's mother was a raging bigot and Marcus is also quite the homophobe. It just doesn't seem consistent with the society that we were introduced to in the last book.

It seems to me that the trouble with the Rogues seems to mostly be due to all of the packs in the area willfully blinding themselves to the problems in their communities. Even the whole situation with Martin and his family sounds like it could have been avoided if the pack set up regular patrols and check ups with those living on the outskirts.

Having said that, I like the story that this world protestants and I loved that Jordan's ascension to Alpha's Mate shone a light on both the plight of gammas in their society, but also on the strength that they represent to, and in, the pack.

Aaron and Jordan

This second book in the series picks up where the first one ended, with the revelation of who Aaron's mate is. Aaron, the oldest alpha of his generation, has been looking for his mate for 20 years. To say he was surprised to find out it was a younger male would be an understatement, but he is determined to claim him. Jordan, fleeing when his secret is revealed, seeks sanctuary in the city where Reagan, Grayson's mate, finds him and helps him out. But Reagan is determined to play matchmaker, and brings Aaron and Jordan together. Jordan struggles with self-esteem because he is a gamma wolf, the lowest class, and was taught from a very young age that he was wrong and nothing. With Aaron's help, he slowly comes into himself and realizes his worth. When the rogues again attack the pack, Jordan discovers just how strong he truly is and what his role as an alpha mate will be.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book!
I loved this book just like the first one and can't wait for the third. I could feel Aaron's pain about trying to find his mate for ever 20 years and having him right there for him to run away.
I like how Tamsin describes the scent of the Alphas mate. In Greyson's Mate Reagan had an orange scent and in this book Jordan has a butterscotch scent. What Jordan grew up with was horrible and near the ending was great. The courage and empowerment that Tamsin gives to her characters is beautiful. I just wish the stories were a bit longer. I want more of Aaron, Jordan, Greyson and Reagan. She should do extended epilogues for each book about 3 chapters each or more, I know I'm greedy lol.

Aaron was searching for his mate for so long and when he gets to hear that Jordan, a Omega has the same birth mark as he has, he immediately searches for him in the pack only to discover that he disappeared. He doesn't understand why and is suffering with the hope he'll come back one day. Thanks to Reagan he finds Jordan and will not let him go anymore. Jordan is not convinced that he is worthy to be an alphas mate and can't make his mind up what to do. Then Aaron gets attacked and held hostage by some rogues and Jordan stands up as the alpha mate he is and fights for his mate.
There is still so much mystery about the alpha males mating with males and the threat of the rogues.

I thoroughly enjoyed Aaron and Jordan's story- it was sexy, exciting and gripping.

Jordan had various insecurities to overcome and the author captured his inner conflict really well.

Aaron was a sweet, caring yet dominant alpha. He isn't troubled by the gender of his fated mate instead, he gets to the root of the problem, regarding Jordan's hesitance to mate.

I was rooting for Jordan when he confronted Marcus. I wanted to kick Marcus in his jewels every time he made an appearance and opened his nasty mouth.

The second in the borough boys book. I loved this book, the storyline thickens as it goes.

Aaron an older alpha had seven looking for his mate for over two decades. When he finally finds out who he is he can't find him anywhere, eventually does. I loved Aaron he was an amusing man to get to read about.

Jordan the mate in question, runs believing that fate had gotten it wrong. He wasn't an alpha's mate. I felt sorry for him, the man made my heart ache poor thing. Glad he found his courage and strength.

It was short but enough happened in that time to make the book interesting.

Book two of the borough Boys and Alpha Aaron has to fight to gain the trust of his fated mate omega Jordan. Jordan brought up to feel he is worthless runs from the pack once his mark appears. But he can not escape it. Thanks to a meddling Reagan who brings Jordan back to let fate have its way. These books are short full of hot action plus threats overcome for both Aaron and ajordan as well as the pack. Worth the read

omega’s.

It took me a minute to get back into the story and remember Jordan running away at the end of the last book.
Regan found him and brought Aaron to him.
They made it and slowly, Jordan got his confidence and voice .
The rouges attacked again, almost killing Aaron. Jordan rescued his mate and the family that owned the farm.
The battle within the pack is outside. The pack is still brewing.

I love this series!

Alpha's finding male mates and the whole pack being turned upside down! Rogues are attacking, Gammas want more rights and the surprises just keep piling up!

This pack is anything but cliche or boring! Read it yourself to see. If you like werewolf stories be prepared for change, because this one is definitely different.

Of the 3 books in this series, I enjoyed this one the most. Having more background on Jordan made a big difference in this book. It made seeing Jordan's growth all the more enjoyable. Also, seeing a little more of Aaron's past added to the depth of the story.

Strong

I liked this book. It had a lot of emotion to it, but I did feel like it didn't spend enough time on the reason why Jordan's mom acted the way she did when he was little. That was a big part of him and it felt like it was just dropped.

Jordan is trying to run away from his fate, too scarred to be himself, too afraid to became what he is meant to. Aaron has lost faith that he will mate one day, no matter how strong and determined he is. Story is interesting and Rogues make more and more troubles.

Another fated mate

This is book two in the series and just as the first one it's a good, easy read about shifters and fated mates.
Jordan, who's an Omega and the Alpha Aaron has their own struggles before there's a happy mating and I enjoyed their story.
