Mommy's review from 9/28/11 -

We haven't read many SpongeBob books even though he's one of Julia's favorite cartoon characters but out of the ones we have read I think this is the best. This is just really amusing to read and/or listen to.
It's very fast, I'd say even faster than the normal SpongeBob or Scooby-Doo type chapter book. Maybe the reading just went faster because the page numbers are about the same between them all.
Julia laughed out loud a few times right along with me. The fact that it's so over the top is what really gives it the humor.
The story is basically about SpongeBob getting a shot at a t.v. show after helping the executive in charge of the show realize his life isn't over - because his Mother loves him after all.
SpongeBob starts the show and of course it's an immediate success. SpongeBob's Mother is proud of him, Mr. Krabs' is angry he's lost his best fry cook, and Patrick jumps in the mix and messes things up. While reading SpongeBob a letter from his Mother before one of his shows Patrick spills ice cream on a few choice words which leads to SpongeBob thinking his Mom isn't proud of him anymore.
It's SpongeBob so everything turns out okay in the end of course and along the way it's downright funny.

This was a pretty fun mother's day story.
"...anything is possible with a mother's love!"

This children's chapter book features an original SpongeBob Squarepants story. With the strength of his mother's love, there's nothing that SpongeBob isn't capable of doing... including hosting a TV show called "Mother Knows Best"!

Part of a personal challenge to read all of my boyfriend's and his sister's childhood books before we donate and give them away.
