Mostly groaners (which is most children's humour, to be honest). Some of the jokes are particularly dated, like the TV Guide listing programs but they're renamed with a "school" theme, like Tardy Boys Mysteries and The Fail Guy, so contemporary younger readers definitely won't get those.

Some just... huh?

Example:
"The hot dogs aren't bad," Sam said frankly.
I hope I don't have to explain the joke, but that one's fine. This one, though?
"I spilled my milk," Donny said moistly.
MOISTLY? How does one say anything moistly??

Or this other weird one:
Why do werewolves do well in school?

They give snappy answers.
I don't feel like werewolves are known for *snapping*... that's quite a stretch to get to the punchline. I would *almost* buy, "Why are the plants in Little Shop of Horrors good in school?"

I don't know. Probably an okay change of pace if you have a young reader who needs to read for twenty minutes a day for homework, though I imagine she might stop and say, "I don't get it" after every few jokes.
