The children of Rhinebeck are not safe. They have been disappearing since 1900, without a trace or clue. The Four Seasons Inn of Rhinebeck is no longer safe. The lives of the three sisters who own the Inn, have been forever altered; 13 year old Morgan has disappeared in the night from a locked house, where all of her family lie sleeping.
The sister's Scottish upbringing, with all of its tales of evil birds always seemed like old wives tales; until the magpies began behaving oddly, like flying in circles around the Inn, and the sister's swear that when it rains you can hear children's voices on the night air.
Born and raised in western Pennsylvania, Brynn Chapman is the daughter of two teachers. Her writing reflects her passions: science, history and love—not necessarily in that order. In real life, the geek gene runs strong in her family, as does the Asperger’s syndrome. Her writing reflects her experience as a pediatric therapist and her interactions with society’s downtrodden. In fiction, she’s a strong believer in underdogs and happily-ever-afters. If her ancestry tree is true, she is a descendent of the House of Stuart.
oh my lord. yuk. i made it to page 50 and there is no wayi'm reading any more. its VERY difficult to follow, she skips around practically paragraph to paragraph, none of the characters are introduced. for one instance there is a little girl, the NEXT paragraph the author is talking about eva and gee.. its the little girl, but you have to surmise that for yourself about 4 paragraphs later. AND i cant STAND everywhere there is a brand name mentioned there is a little 'tm' i have read 'time travel' books and well i dont know where this one fits. other than NOT my type. there are too many other books out there to waste my time on this one
Sorry but not to my liking at all, the storyline is so jumpy it really put me off reading the book and nothing seemed to be explained properly. Really not a good story to read.
