The author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Managing Your Time offers down-to-earth suggestions for minimizing stress at home and at the office, as well as exercises to clear the body and the mind.
I finished this book in just about 2 hours. i skipped a large portion of it becuase it didn't apply to me. A large portion of this book focuses on career-based stress. I'm disabled, and therefore unemployed, so the career-based info just didn't fit me more. There was some helpful information i will hang onto, but overall, it just wasn't for me.
Overall, a great guide to managing stress in all areas of life. It's a consolidation of tips that you're probably heard other places, but it's great to have them all gathered together. The book is a bit dated, as it was written in the late 90's, but the advice is sound. If you're looking for one, good guide to stress management, this is a good pick.
When work stress is making me physically ill again, I know that I've fallen off the stress management wagon and need a refresher! Same ole, same ole content.
It was an okay read and first time doing an idiot book. In addition, this book is outdated (1999)so that's 20 years ago. Some things are no longer relevant or would use.
