About the author

T. Padmanabhan was born in 1931 in Kannur.He was an employee with FACT and retired as the Deputy General Manager of the same company.Author of 162 stories in malayalam,his stories have been translated to most of the Indian languages and to Russian, French, English and German.The short story collection "Puzha kadannu Marangalude Edayilekku" received Vayalor Award for the year 2004.He is also the recepient of Vallathol award, Lalithambika Andarjanam Smaraka puraskaram and Ezhuthachan puraskaram.He rejected the Kendra Sahitya Academy award,Kerala Sahithya Academy award and Odakuzhal Award

9 ചെറുകഥകളുടെ സമാഹാരം. ഒരു പകൽക്കിനാവ്, സുനന്ദയുടെ അച്ഛൻ, ദേശ് ഒരു ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാനി രാഗം, അബുദാബി, ഒരു കള്ള കഥ, ഒരു പഴയ കഥ, ശവദാഹം, നായ്ക്കളും മനുഷ്യന്മാരും, കടൽ എന്നിവയാണവ. മനസ്സിൽ തങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്ന കഥകൾ ഒന്നുമില്ല എന്ന് തന്നെ പറയേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അബുദാബിയും ശവദാഹവും നായ്ക്കളും മനുഷ്യന്മാരുമാണ് അൽപമെങ്കിലും വായനാസുഖം തന്നത്.
