Paprika is a touching and humourous collection of wild tales of family lore, recipes, cultural insights and history of Hungary. Travelling from Budapest's elegant boulevards to the vineyards of the countryside and back to her home in Canada. A journey to find her roots. Fun, entertaining, educational.
I first read this book on one of my trips to Tillsonburg from Vancouver. I had gotten this book from the Tillsonburg library which was an independent library. It is now part of the Oxford libraries and no longer has it as part of the collection. I really enjoyed this book as it was the right amount of history, travel, food and memoir.
I recently found a used copy of this book on the internet and now own my own copy. I'm looking forward to reading it again. (Feb 2015)
April 2019: starting to re-read this book. Enjoying it again. Still reading…start at pg 238. Dennis ha book -Feb 2022.
