Sunrise at Honeysuckle Cove

Rate this book
Honeysuckle Cove Inn has been in the Brennan family for three generations. When Maggie Brennan’s parents retire, they call her home to Honeysuckle Cove and hand over the reins of the historical inn. If Maggie successfully maintains the business over the course of a year, the inn is hers forever. Maggie considers the timing perfect, with one exception—she finds her path entangled once again with that of Dylan O’Connor.

Dylan has made a name for himself as the go-to guy when it comes to renovations and repairs in Honeysuckle Cove, and he’s waited nearly a decade for high school sweetheart Maggie Brennan to return home. But his handyman skills will be put to the test when it comes to rebuilding the bridge between Maggie’s heart and his, and designing a future…together.

This is such a cut novella. You want to read and not much time you can read this one in a setting. This is just in time for Valentines Day. Sweet little romance. Once again a well written story by Mary Manners. I love her books. They are romantic but done in a very clean way.
Story is about Maggie going back home to run the Honeysuckle Cove Inn which has been her family for years. Dad and Mom are retiring and moving to better climate for her father. The place is a bit ran down. What will she do needs it to be running and bringing in tourist to keep it going. Maggie walks inside and strange but the front door is open! Hmm no one is to be there. Then she sees a shadow up in the upper floor! O no..... Get the book it is great !!! Loved it! 5 star

Mary Manners has written another delightful story in the novella, Sunrise at Honeysuckle Cove.

Maggie Brennan left Honeysuckle Cove for the bright lights of the big cities in California. She left behind her parents, her family’s legacy, Honeysuckle Cove Inn, and most especially Dylan O’Conner.

Imagine Maggie’s consternation when she returns home, after her parents have retired to the sunny Florida beaches, to find Dylan is living in her home at her parent’s request!

A delightful story about small town life and all the quirks found there. One curious theme centers around Maggie’s relatives three generations back, a folklore the city has latched onto wholeheartedly. It is a cute story with just the right measure of suspense and romance.

I enjoyed the backstory of Maggie and Dylan. I felt Maggie’s sadness over her sister, Dylan’s frustration at his sister and his compulsion to care for his nephew, Cam. The new intersecting of Maggie, Dylan and Cam creates an equal amount of tension and resolution.

Mary Manners’ imaginative narrative draws you into the story and holds you to the very end.

Sunrise at Honeysuckle Inn is a pleasing story that was a fun, thoughtful and quick read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Will love take root in the dead of winter?

Maggie & Dylan have a troubled past together that has kept Maggie from extended return to their hometown of Honeysuckle cove. When her parents decide to retire & leave Maggie their inn, she returns to find Dylan raising his nephew after a family tragedy. As the three work together to reopen the inn, will Maggie & Dylan find their way together again & create the loving family one troubled young boy needs? A beautiful sweet story- with just a touch of mystery, is sure to leave readers eager for the next in this 12 title series! Manners doesn't disappoint.

I almost caught the scent of honeysuckle as I read this short-but-sweet tale of second-chance romance. Dylan and Maggie's journey back to love is told with such heart and soul! I felt like I was right there in Maggie's skin -- coming home after years away, and finding what she’d been searching for right where it had been all along. Once again, Mary Manners delivers, without a second’s disappointment.

Sunrise at honeysuckle cove

I was given a copy of this book for honest opinion. Maggie comes back home after being gone a while to take over her parents inn. She doesn't want to run into Dylan but that is who she sees first, he is doing work there. Love the past story about the inn. Dylan nephew is also there and helping out. I really enjoyed this book, even being short the book has lot to it.

The last thing Maggie wants or needs is Dylan back in her life. However it seems her parents, God and maybe even Dylan himself have other plans for her. Coming from Mary Manners, I knew this was going to be another good story and I wasn't disappointed. Can't wait for the next story in this series.

I loved this short but sweet story about Maggie and Dylan, two high school sweethearts, a decade later, who realize their love never died and that they ARE perfect for each other. Maggie’s parents have given her the Honeysuckle Inn so that they can move to Florida to help cure her Dad’s worsening arthritis. When she arrives back to the inn, from California, Dylan is in the third floor working away. He has become a licensed contractor and Maggie a designer. She wants to be so angry, but each day she becomes more and more mellow. Dylan is raising his nephew now, who just turned 13, and he remembers Maggie and is so excited that she might teach him how to play his guitar! Everyone is happy and starting to feel like a family until Dylan finishes his work he had agreed, with Maggie’s Dad, to do, to help get things going. Then, he has to leave. But, something happens…I can’t tell you what or the book would be spoiled for you! Please get 5his book for yourself and enjoy every word of it! I was given a copy of the book, but the review is my own honest opinion.

What a sweet romantic novella about starting over and second chances. Maggie and Dylan, once childhood sweethearts, reunite when Maggie returns to her hometown to renovate and take over Honeysuckle Cove Inn which has been in her family for generations.

I really enjoyed the character interaction and storyline, although, I do wish it was a bit longer and more detailed. I would have loved to read more about Maggie and Dylan's relationship before Maggie suffered such a tragic loss and left town.

Overall, I am glad that I read this book and I will be reading the next book in the series.

I love Mary Manners' books. Sunrise at Honeysuckle Cove is another sweet second chance clean romance. Maggie left Tennessee and her family's inn behind to seek adventure in California. When she returns to small town life to take over running her parent's inn, she just hopes to not run in to her ex, Dylan. Much to her dismay, when she arrives at the inn, she discovers him there, working. As a matter of fact, he's also living downstairs, along with his nephew. As they work to restore the inn, will the opportunity to restore the past present itself?

I was provided a free copy of this novella, but all opinions expressed here are my own.

Sunrise At Honeysuckle Cove by Mary Manners was A Light, Quick, Delightful Story!

Maggie Brennan, the h, was a fiery character, with a stubborn, judgemental side, but I was pleased to encounter her in this story.

Dylan O'Connor, the H, was a loving hard working character with a good heart, and I'm glad that he persevered in his pursuit of Maggie.

Cameron (Cam) Blackstone, Dylan's 13 years old nephew, was also a welcome addition to the story.

I am looking forward to reading more about the small town of Honeysuckle Cove.

I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

I loved Dylan and Maggie. You could just feel the chemistry between the two of them. Maggie tried to fight it, but Dylan managed to keep fighting for what he wanted and the kind of happiness he knew that they both wanted. I really liked how the book showed how much of an amazing guy Dylan was by showing his relationship with Cam, his nephew. The only thing that would've made this book better would be if it was a little longer and we got more background information as to what really happened between Dylan and Maggie and between the circumstances that he got Cam because we get snippets, but I would've loved more.

When Maggie comes back to take over the bed and breakfast her life changes. Dylan is truly a amazing man. The way he takes care of Cam is truly special. You will feel God working throughout this whole book. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

A quick second chance read that pulls at the heartstrings. When Maggie returns home to take over for her parents she has to face what she left behind. Dylan has changed but still is the man she was supposed to live her life with but left. This author gives us an emotional clean second chance romance that where love endures and grows and healing begins. Great story.

A lovely short read (60 pages). Maggie has to renovate the inn without running into her old boyfriend Dylan, yet finds her parents have arranged for him and his nephew to stay on the property. A story of forgiveness, putting the past behind them to get a second chance at love. I received an ARC but this review is my own.

okay too short

Come on, it was just getting good. It took a nephew to push it but Maggie me Dylan just needed to let the past go and rekindle their relationship. I like the honeysuckle smell when the honeysuckle isn’t blooming. Maybe the Inn is haunted after all

A sweet short story with likeable characters. There were a few details that were unclear, and a little more back story as to their initial break up would have been nice. Overall a nice story. This was a short story which I was able to finish in one sitting. It was a simple love story of an old relationship rekindled. I wished there had been a little more background and conflict resolution. We never find out how Dylan broke Maggie's heart and he's willing to give up on them until he over hears Maggie telling his nephew that she loves him. I enjoyed reading the story but wanted more.
