"Privileged princess meets boy from the wrong side of town." I've loved my brother's best friend since forever. Nathan Cole, with his dirty mouth, sinful tattoos, and screw the world attitude, has my head in a continuous spin. He doesn’t see me like that, though. To him, I'm just Jackson's baby sister. Cute, young, off-limits… Well, he's about to see how grown up I really am. I plan on getting up close and personal with Springhill's bad boy. Can you see me now, Nate?
Off Limits is the first installment of the Faking It series. Due to its explicit content, bad language, and graphic sexual content, Off Limits is recommended for mature readers of seventeen years and above.

I mean this book was soap opera level high school angst personified, but it was missing a little something for me. Maybe I just didn’t connect much with the characters. It still kept me interested! Not sure if I’ll finish out the series, but I am a little curious after that ending. I mean THAT ending. I kind of saw it coming, but dang.
Liked the smut, very hot, but the characters were just too young for me. Oh and a shocker of a cliffhanger ending. Don't think I'm interested enough to read any more though.
It would also benefit from a decent proofread, some real howlers in this; finding spelling errors in a book I've bought never fails to piss me off 😡
I am not going to rate this until the second book comes out because if there isn't a reasonable explanation for what happened in the cliffhanger..... then that is disgusting and ruined the whole series for me.
Omg I've been waiging for this book for so long...
...and it didn't disappoint. I've always loved brother's bff stories, and this book was just what I needed right now. I'm usually not that into new adult stuff, but I like Chloe's style. The plot is great, has many opportunities for the future books, although I would have liked it better if it was a longer, but standalone book. Haha, Chloe, I guess it's not your thing :D The characters are simple, but real and that's how it should be. Great book! Ahh, and it has my name in the dedication!!!!!! I'm so touched, Chloe! You made me very happy with this book, girlie :)) <3
God this was awful. The characters were flat and the plot made me cringe. I, honest to god, physically cringed during the last scene in the book. Not just internally like usual. And then it just ended? What the actual fuck? I honestly didn't care enough about the characters to find out what happened next.
3.25*** This book has potential but there's a few things it could of used to be enhanced.
Other then being a novella size, would of been good to be a bit more in depth with character development.
Had a few typo's and errors.
The constant use of names, Andi's in particular is in almost every sentence.
Would have been good to have the added content of Nate's pov in the chapters rather then bonus at the end.
The heroine is very naive and you feel like she's more a teenager with her dialog and vulnerability and even though she's been sheltered by her brother and bestie Nathan you can't help but say stupid girl to her character.
Was very fast paced with certain settings happening and was rough to read. The night of her losing her virginity of the public display, the drunk ness, the roughness and no protection was a wtf moment!
All the their intimate times together were anything but sweet and more speedy with no real lead up.
The cliffhanger was disturbing. You were left not knowing why, when, how he could of done what he done and questioned his character and how he was going to redeem himself after he admitted he loved Andi so not knowing the answers could go either way for not wanting to read no2 or not being able to wait to start the next book.
I did like the dynamics of the family and found story interesting enough that I'm wanting the answers and will continue with the series to see where it goes.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I'm not typically a fan of YA however, this one here was YAbulous. Written well and story flowed perfectly like bacon and eggs. This is my first read by this author and it definitely won't be my last.
Another 5 star read from Chloe Walsh! I don't know how she does it. Chloe is truly gifted. She always delivers characters with such real-ism <--- is that a word? It is now haha! I love how Chloe makes you feel like you know these characters. What I love most is that Chloe gave Adriana diabetes. It makes these characters even the more realistic. I cannot wait to see what Chloe has in store for Andi and Nate. More angst, more steaminess... Just more!
I need a thesaurus to review this book I simply don't know enough words to say how much I love this story and the characters. I thought I knew what the cliff hanger was going to be to move the story into book two but I was wrong - I absolutely love it when that happens!!!! Now I'm waiting not so patiently for book two.
Ok… so maybe I was asking for it by trying to read this type of book but, seriously… I can’t even manage to put my thoughts together for this stupid review. Yeah, so… DNF @ 20%
When I was in the middle of reading the Boys of Tommen series by Chloe Walsh, I soon realized I was almost caught up (at the time) and needed something else from her. When I glanced at her Goodreads page and looked at all of the synopses for her books, this book was the one that caught my eye the most!
Andi has had a crush on her brother, Jackson's best friend, Nate since she was a little girl. Nate hasn't even given Andi the romantic time of day, but this year is different. When Nate's ex-girlfriend/ bedtime pal, Dallas is doing anything to get him back, Jackson proposes an idea: To tick off Dallas and let her see you've moved on, you should fake date Andi! To Jackson, this idea is perfect. Nate would never actually go for Andi because she's off limits and both of them would never fall in love anyways... right?
Jackson and Nate are a class above Andi, meaning they're a year older. This series is described as a fast-paced romance and it delivers! At times I thought the plot was going by quickly, but then I realized that is literally what I got myself into and it was so page-turning; I didn't even mean to finish it last night! The ending quite literally made my jaw drop, I wasn't expecting the last chapter to go in that direction and now I need the next books!
I try to read all of Walsh's books physically, but unfortunately, I can't find a copy of this anywhere so I had to read it on my Kindle. The other two books in this trilogy are available physically so I will be getting those ASAP!
I do recommend this a lot! It's not the best in the world, but it really is a fun time.
Chloe Walsh can't write a bad book in my eyes..... I absolutely love everything she has written and Off Limits is no different, the cliffhanger was so shocking I didn't know whether to gasp or scream or throw my kindle.
So excited to get into the next book...
I would 100% recommend this book or any thing that Chloe has written
3.5- this was no Boys of Tommen but I am in fact hooked by that ending. If it hadn’t been condensed to 200 pages and therefore the fastest and very unrealistic timeline I’ve read in a while, it would have been wayyy better. But Alas Chloe Walsh can do no wrong so I will continue my journey of reading every book she has ever written.
So good! It’s been awhile since I’ve read a good best friend’s sister book! There wasn’t anything real unique about this story but I love Chloe Walsh’s writing. It always flows nicely.
This was a pretty good read. Adriana Davis' life seems perfect but it's far from the truth. Her father is the business mogul Clive Davis and her mother is the town socialite Liv. She's the younger sister of the golden boy Jackson who is popular, great looking, and smart. Her parents are never around and when they are they really don't care about anything other than having extramarital affairs and appearing to be the perfect family. She's not allowed to date, she loves to read, and she's been in love with her brother's best friend Nate.
Andi feels pretty isolated. Her parents don't understand her and she's supposed to be perfect. She loves her brother Jackson and they have always been close. They seem to be the only family the other has. She grew up with Nate around a lot but he's known as the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks. She's wanted him for years but he can be so mean to her now. She has one friend Ivy who seems to hook up with her brother often.
Nate's never known his father and his mother is drunk most of the time and hooking up with guys. He's got an older sister who helped raise him until she got pregnant and was kicked out. He was a great football player but he had to quit so he could work to pay for food and such. Adrianna was always important to him but when she grew up and he's been attracted to her then it has caused him to do what he can to keep her away. He does his best to not be with her but he can't control himself when she's near.
Worth reading and looking forward to the next book in the series.
I absolutely love Chloe Walsh but this one was just good. I love her alpha males because God knows she has the ability to make some of the best alphas, aka~Kyle Carter and Noah effin Messina *drool* and I cant get enough. I'm excited to move on to the next because of the disgusting shocker at the end. Yippee! I'm coming Nate and Andi!
This book started off okay. The writing was ok, the characters were interesting enough.
Basically Andi, privileged sheltered Andi falls for her brothers wrong side of the tracks best friend, Nate.
The story line plays out as you would expect with a bit of a twist to keep the reader on board for book 2.
If this is was the extent of the book I would be ok with it...just a nice simple between better more serious books kind of book.
Spoilers potentially.
However, enter glaring problem #1 Andi is a virgin, which at 17 is pretty standard. I find it hard to believe that a girl like Andi would be ok with how she lost her virginity in the book. Something was not jiving.
Problem #2- Best friend finds out and asks did you use a condom? Andi- I don't know. So potential book climax here....how will she deal with the terrible decision making, what will teen readers learn from Andi's mistake.
Biggest problem #3- Best friend says to Andi. Let's take off to the pharmacy and get you plan B.
So they do, Andi takes it like it is the most natural thing in the world. Onto next chapter where time jumps forward and there is no more mention of it at all.
No dealing with the side effects, no agonizing about the mistake to have sex without protection. No thoughts about potentially STDs, NOTHING.
That is until Problem #4 where the use of a condom is jokingly referred to Plan A and the character talks about how she likes it better without a condom.
I stubbled onto this book by accident, a friend of mind was looking for a high school romance which I love by the way but not was this a great highschool romance but it also included a brother's best friend romance which is my favorite so it was a bonus and I loved it. Adriana and her are very close cause their parents are not around, oh they're alive and well but never home but live the social lite life and her brother can pretty much do as he pleases along as princess Adriana never leaves the house, she's so tired of not being to live but one good thing is her brother is home alot with is best friend Nathan who she's had a crush on since they were kids, yeah she doest approve so much of their social skills but she knows she'll always be just a sister figure to Nathan, but when her brother comes up with a crazy idea for Adriana and Nathan to pretend to be a couple to keep Nathan's crazy ex away , Adriana knows it's not safe for her heart but being close to nathan may be worth it. Nathan can't believe he agreed to this crazy idea, Adriana doesn't deserve this, he's secretly had feelings for since she he was 17 and she filled out, but he knows no matter what hell never be good enough for her especially if she ever finds out his secret. OMG. I was super excited to read this and I kept waiting for my HEA and BAM! CLIFF HANGER, which isn't bad, I just need book 2 like yesterday. I loved it.
