Nomad was the third book in the Sons of Sanctuary series by Victoria Danann.

Cannon “Cann” Johns knew tragedy. His wife and child had been murdered and he’d been chasing demons ever since. He was a patched member with the Sons of Sanctuary MC but went to Nomad status years ago upon his family’s death.

Bud Slaughter McIntyre was seventeen, pregnant and on her own. The baby daddy joined the military and agreed with her father wanting her to get an abortion. Her father was powerful and had ways to do it without her consent. She had one week until she turned eighteen so her goal was to keep away from her father until her birthday.

Nomad was told with multiple POV’s. It was well written and well developed. It was a journey of healing, hope and love. It was pretty tame and predictable without much drama or unexpected challenges, so it fell in the realm of sweet.

I loved the bantering between Cann and Bud. It was playful and friendly. I also loved that we got to see and hear from Brant and Garland. They were the foundation of the series and I loved seeing their continued connection. And lastly, I loved the loyalty and bonding within the MC.

Although Nomad was book three and included characters from the previous books, it could be read as a standalone without missing anything crucial. Next up in the series is The Devil’s Marker.

This is a story of finding one`s self , no matter the circumstance. Who knew that one act of kindness could bring love and acceptance and unexpected loyalty from your brethren. I don`t read many MC books but I will always read Victoria`s SSMC books. Yes, they are that good !

Ms. Danann brings us book 3 in her Sons of Sanctuary MC series. As always the characters are well drawn, the details and descriptions of the locales draw the reader into the story. And oh what a story! I laughed and I cried and fell in love with these 2 lost souls. I can't wait for the next installment!

Victoria Danann has a bewitching way of weaving words into the most fabulous stories. I love MC books and this book is another one added to my favorites. The characters are complex and enjoyable to read. All of the Sons of Sanctuary books can be read as standalone books but I suggest reading them from the beginning, it is well worth it. I can't wait for the next one in this series.

Nomad by Victoria Danann is the third installment in The Sons of Sanctuary MC.
Nomad is Cann and Bug´s story.
Cannon Johns- Cann is a member of the Sons of Sanctuary MC. After his wife and little daughter were murdered he´s gone Nomad. Means he has no roots and travels the road without home or family. He´s broken, a lost soul.
On the road he picks up Bug, a 17 year old girl.
Bug is on the run from her father. She´s pregnant and hiding till she´s 18. Her father is a dangerous and powerful man who doesn´t want a grandchild.
Nomad and the MC help Bug to stay safe and build a future for herself and her baby.
The MC family are good people. They help where they can.

Nomad is a beautiful love story. Cann is a good man, who learns to live again. Bug is a strong girl, a old soul, who knows what she wants.
I laughed I cried, I suffered with the characters and I cheered them on.

Every time Victoria Danann releases a new book I think: This is it, it can´t get better. And with her next book she tops it again.
I was sucked into the MC world from page one and I loved it. I love the characters, old and new friends. I love the writing and I love Victoria Danann´s words.
5 Stars and Thank you Victoria Danann !!

Fate’s Intervention
Cannon Johns has been a Nomad of Sons of Sanctuary for several years. A man who at one time had it all in his life. Now seeks comfort in the escape of sleep.
At a motel he stops at, he finds a slip of a person by the vending machines. She’s soaking wet and shivering. What happens next, well you’ll just have to read the book to find out.
I must say it’s a very compelling book to read. Part of a series and yet a self-contained story. A full gambit of emotions along with brotherhood, humor romance and so much more.
A very well written and extremely entertaining story to read.

This is one of the sweetest stories by far that Victoria Dannan has written. I can't believe how one women took so many inspirations from her own life and put some of those into this book. The male character not only changes over time but come to terms with life altering events. I do not know if I could do what he did and continue to live. The main girl handles the situations she is put in like a champ and has an old soul! Amazing book and a must read for all fans of this genre or any genre! Love it!

It takes talent to create a story even more so when the story is of few words. Victoria displays this talent in spades. Realistic images, dialogue and characters make for a story with whom you can connect on one level of another.
Nomad is the third book in the SSMC series, and although it can be read as a standalone; I highly recommend reading the others in the series. The characters are interconnected and add to the depth of the story.
I really enjoyed Nomad. I believe in fate.
Suspense, loyalty, brotherhood, compassion, humor and romance...The Sons of Sanctuary has a little something for everyone.

A runaway biker and a runaway woman, cross paths along their very different journeys. Two people that have very different reasons for wanting to be alone, yet they find themselves changing direction together. I found myself really rooting for Cannon and Bud. Each one has been through such emotional trauma, it seems that alone, neither really stands a chance of surviving. Together, they can find the light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
This is a true "feel good" story. It is part of a series, and the book flows along in a smooth continuation of The Sons of Sanctuary story.

Life is unpredictable. Even when you have decided your outcome. This fast paced, touching, thoughtful book was a joy to read. As an added bonus you got great glimpses of characters you already know and love if you have read the previous books. Though you can read and enjoy this book as a stand alone, as soon as you finish you will be reading the previous volumes. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book.

You never know how the act of helping someone will impact your life...in the moment and in your future...such is the case for Cannon Johns...
Victoria Danann has written such a story in "Nomad".
The reader will laugh, cheer, applaud, and even shed a tear in her tale of two "runaways" whose paths cross...
You'll want to read Cann and Bud's story!

Victoria is the mistress of story telling. I was sucked into her motorcycle club world. Her characters are complex characters. The main characters faced their adversaries realistically.
This book can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend that you read all the books in the series. It's well worth the effort.

This book in the Sons of Sanctuary series has been my favorite. Cannon Johns has left the motorcycle club for a while after a devastating loss. He has been traveling and stopped for the night at a roadside motel. He finds a girl there, freezing in the rain, without food or money. He rescues her and continues to rescue her throughout the book. The unobvious part, is where, she rescues him. He is only 25 but carries the weight of someone decades older due to his loss and anguish. Bud is just a week shy of her eighteenth birthday. He, along with help from Brant and the rest of the club, work to keep her safe from her Texas Ranger father, until she is legal enough to make her own decisions. Bud is more mature than her years, as she had to care for herself since the premature death of her mother. She teaches Cannon that it is all right to care for someone again and let them care for you. There is plenty of humor and a lot of big personalities involved. Nomad is a thoroughly enjoyable read.

This story is a journey I really identified with. Cannon's life, his pain, struck me deeply, touching my own agony. It reminded me that each is a new opportunity, that hope is not wasted. It also reminds me that each chance meeting could lead to the brightest future. Beautifully written, well crafted, and so very worthy of a keeper shelf.

This was surprisingly very sweet. I’m not a fan of widowers and teenage pregnancies but this was a quick and pleasant read. The heroine was a week shy of 18 when she met Cann (H) who was 25 and a widower who lost a wife and daughter whom he loved very much. The age gap wasn’t too big (around 7 yrs). The relationship took months to progress even though they both acknowledge their attraction. I liked how Cann had fully let go of his grief and dead wife before committing to the young heroine.

This was a nice harmless read, like a Doris Day movie.
I liked, that there was a story here, not just rolling in the sheets.
I liked that the characters from the previous books made their appearance now and then.
I liked Canns character.

I didn't like the name of the h (Bud).
I didn't like that she was sooo young (17 at the beginning 18 at the end)
I didn't like that the story was so tame... No sexy time at all until the last 2-3 pages.

Nomad, by Victoria Danann, was utter perfection! Cannon Johns is making one last journey home to say goodbye before taking his own life. After roaming for years trying to escape a tragedy that rocked his entire world, he has decided he no longer wants to go on. Things suddenly change one fateful night in the rain, at a seedy motel, when he meets a young and pregnant girl on the run from her father . . . who is trying to force her to abort her pregnancy. Cann may not be looking for any type of relationship or responsibility, but he knows this is not something he can walk away from.

Bud is just one week shy of turning 18 and being a legal adult. She knows she has to keep clear of her father so that she can keep her baby. She has always taken care of herself, but this time, she is forced to rely on the white knight of a biker who is willing to come to her aid. What she never expected was to fall for her savior as well as be accepted into the biker brotherhood.

With the Texas Rangers on their trail, Cann and Bud must rely on the Sons of Sanctuary as well as one another as their relationship begins turning into something much more than strangers in need of rescuing one another.

Victoria Dannan has created an incredible tale of selflessness within in this book. Taking care of Bud and her unborn child gives Cann a feeling of purpose that he has been missing in his life and for the first time in years, he feels he has a reason to live. Bud, who is homeless, pregnant, and about as down on her luck as a person can be, exudes a caring and nurturing personality as well as displays an inner strength and wisdom well beyond her years. While neither was looking for the other, these two characters end up being one another’s salvation.

I love how masterfully Victoria weaves a story of brotherhood as well. The Sons of Sanctuary immediately rally around Cann and Bud with no questions asked. I was very excited to see that Brant and Garland would have a prominent role in this book, as it was great to catch up with the club president and his old lady.

I don’t want to give Cann and Bud’s epic journey away, but their story was one of the most emotionally satisfying books I have read in a long time. Kudos Victoria! 5 stars and the hope that there are more books to come in this series!

This is an unlikely romance between a hardened young man who thinks he has nothing to live for and a young woman running from a father who would take the life of her unborn child. Danann brings her signature point of view to this heart breaking, awe inspiring and most difficult of love stories. I don’t know how she does it but Danann can write characters so real and alive that you will feel like you can reach out and touch them. With each book I fall more under the spell of her way with a phrase and her story telling ability. It is an art and she excels. I love Nomad and fell more in love as the story went on. His heartache broke my heart and yet he had the strength and caring to take a stranger under his wing and protect her. What a great addition to Danann’s already stellar list of books. I never have been disappointed in her books and this one is no exception. Another absolutely wonderful love story. If you love Danann this is a must and if you have not read her yet, well you are missing out so get busy and start because you will not be sorry. She can make you laugh and cry and yell and beg. You will get so immersed in the story you forget about everything else. It is an experience you must not miss. MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Cannon ‘Cann’ Johns had all he thought he’d want, a thriving business he’d built from dreams plus a wife and daughter he adored. But at 25 years old, Cann’s felt older than his years since his wife and daughter were brutally murdered. Determined to put himself out of his misery, an odd thing happens to Cann on his way to his self-appointed destiny.

Life’s twisty turns haven’t always been kind to 17year-old Bud Slaughter McIntyre. But running away from her Texas ranger father led to the best one that can’t be measured. Huddling from the freezing rain in a cheap poncho at a cheaper hotel, Bud trusted a kind stranger who turned out to be her hero, her own knight in brilliant armor.

As leads Cann’s extensive damage includes his heart and Bud mixed set of emotional luggage herself combine for a sweet outing. It’s hard to discuss what happened in this engaging read with the rushed ending without revealing all the goodies but to my taste there is no ‘creepy’ factor and two characters worth cheering for.

This is another amazing addition to the Sons of Sanctuary series. Victoria Danann creates such wonderful characters and stories. You can enjoy this one without having read the first two in the series, but they are such great books it would be a shame to miss any in this or her other series.

What happens when you lose everything that means anything to you? Can you go on or do you just drift waiting to put an end to the pain?

Cannon thinks he is dead inside. Yet, when he finds a young, pregnant girl running away from a father who seeks to take her choices away from her, he doesn't turn away. She has no money, no prospects, and no real plan so naturally, he helps her despite what it might cost him. She has no money, no prospects, and no real plan.

The story is about loyalty, bravery, and standing up for your beliefs. We don't forget our sorrows or the ones we have lost, but maybe we can survive the storms and go on.

NOMAD SSMC:

Both MC’s had me laughing so much throughout the whole story. They are so adorable together. NOMAD was so good I literally could not put the book down, I read it in one night non stop.
Near the end when Cannon faces a hard decision and he is going through a gut wrenching moment, I along with Bud could not help but to cry for and with him. When a story takes you on a full emotional journey hitting each and every sense. You know you’ve hit a winner.
I really don’t want to leave the story world that Victoria Danann has created like all her others it’s bitter sweet to come to the end. With only one more in the series I find I really don’t want to leave. Which is a wonderful sign of a fantastic writer. So if you haven’t read any of her books before you are missing out on some amazing adventures, tender moments, outrageous hilarious gut tickling and full on snort filled laughter.

HOT! HOT! HOT! Nomad is dealing with a heavy curtain of despair and grief over the horrific murder of his wife and baby girl. So much so, that he left SSMC and went nomad. Now he is on his way back to TX to end his grief once and for all. That is until he finds a young, pregnant, girl hiding behind a Mountain Dew machine at a hole in the wall hotel.

17 and on the run, BUD, is scared, angry, determined, and pregnant. Her father wants her to have an abortion....she refused and left with barely any money. Nomad agrees to take care of her....but there is just one thing she forgot to tell him....her father is a Texas Ranger. Being a minor and on the run brings more excitement to Nomad than he has had in a long time. He begins to care about the baby, but knows that his plans are already made. Will they remain?

This book 3 in the series but can be red as a stand alone. It doesn't take the typical path of many MC books. This one is about trust and friendship.

Cannan thinks he is at the end of his life. He can't see living with his pain anymore. Then Bud bumps into his life and he finds a reason to keep going at least until she is safe. What follows is their adventures not only to keep Bud safe but also getting Bud set up in her new life.

I liked that although the leads are together for safety and each are having some impure thoughts about the other, they take the time to be friends first. In fact, most of the book is about building relationships and re-strengthening old ones.

Great read again by this author.

Contains some SPOILERS. I usually only rate the books I read with stars, but I'm so torn on this book. I am loving this series and have rated the other books with 5 stars; however, I only want to give this one 3.5 or 4. I like the story line, but dislike that Bud is so young. I understand her age is needed for the story, but even though she is described as a "mature" young woman, there are times in the book she is very childish. I may have liked her more if the story line could have extended longer and aged her a little more. I am glad that Cann was mature enough to wait for his issues to be resolved before he became physical with her.

This is my favorite, so far, of the Sons of Sanctuary MC. Cannon Johns, a shell of a man, is on his way back to Austin to say goodbye to his friends and end his life. Along the way he takes Bud under his wing. Bud is 17 and pregnant and running from her father who wants to force her to have an abortion. If she can hide from her father for another week, she will be 18 and of legal age to make her own decisions. With Brant's help, they set out to hide out until Bud's 18th birthday.

My heart immediately went out to Cann and then to Bud as they both struggled with their own problems. After Bud turns 18, the Sons of Sanctuary take Bud in as one of their own.

My heart went out to Cann and what had happened in his life. Bud was a real trip. Really enjoyed her character. She is more mature than some 40 year old people at times, then at other times her age shows which is okay because she is only 18. I wish the book had been longer. I read the first two books so long ago that I had forgotten a lot of what had happened but I was able to follow along regardless. There still seems to be that "rushing" feeling from this series. Not sure, maybe its the author's style. Will carry on to the next one.

My new hero!

I swear this series get better with every book. The characters are in each book from the beginning and make appearances in this nomadic MC member. I actually found myself tearing up at the sad experiences someone so young went through and the difficult times he was still experiencing. Despite that, he becomes a hero to young lady who has no one to turn to in her hour of need. It was amazing how the MC network worked out their needs as they came up. A very good story with lots of heart.

Nomad rocks

Conn was trying to get over the murder of his beloved wife and baby daughter when he found a little waif shivering by the soda machine. Bud was pregnant and hiding from her father, who was trying to force her to have an abortion because she was just days short of turning eighteen. Even though Conn was going to kill himself, he decided to wait until Bud and her baby were safe. This was a tender, yet exciting story that I really enjoyed reading. I really love the Sons of Sanctuary stories.
