The Mala of God is a unique spiritual gift, an expression of the surrendered heart filled with prayer, devotion, and gratitude, yet imbued with the unsparing wisdom and power of non-dual self-inquiry. With profound simplicity, Advaita zen master Mooji unveils the intimate, mystical ways of the praying heart, and provides insight for those yearning to discover their true nature. Many of us seek inner peace and happiness, lasting self-realization and awakening, or a felt blissful oneness beyond the mere concept of unity. In our search for truth and enlightenment, we may find ourselves drawn deeply into sincere introspection or with a deep affinity for prayer as a means of self-discovery and communion with the Supreme. Using language familiar to many spiritual traditions, including Christianity and Sufism, this book bridges the seeming divide between devotion and non-dual self-inquiry. This beautiful collection can be read start to finish or opened to any page for insight into the moment—perfect for both the spiritual seeker with an interest in non-duality or one who is drawn to devotion and the power of prayer.
Including over 100 powerful prayers and blessings, complemented by Mooji’s drawings and handwritten sayings throughout, The Mala of God provides wisdom and inspiration that sets your heart free.
Mooji is a true light in this world, whose presence, wisdom and loving guidance points us to who we are beyond the limitations of our conditioning and identity. Since 1999, Mooji has been sharing Satsang with seekers in search of the direct experience of Truth. In these open interactions, he introduces the direct path to freedom through self-inquiry and The Invitation, the most effective aids for true and lasting Self-discovery.
This is the kind of reference to return to again and again ~ timeless inspiration and guidance. A superb, moving collection of verse, first of prayers of intercession, thanksgiving, praise and, then, blessings are the second portion. The art, by Mooji, is superb and inspiring, demonstrating the hands who formed it are of a being living in knowing and devotion, a truly holy man. We can be grateful for a Teacher demonstrating in life and pointing that we can live inside a Grace manifesting both personal and impersonal, both 'God' and our own one Self.
Nonduality has become popular. When any wisdom path becomes popular, that is good news and an invitation, also, for a lot of misunderstanding and persons assuming they get it and can give it. Mooji reminds us, however, to share of Truth is to share the most simple and most profound, at the same time. Mooji, in this collection, swings the sword of insight, in love, calling us to the feet of the Beloved and, in his words, to live in the belly of God, so having been consumed by Grace.
These prayers would benefit by taking one and meditating on it, as a form of inquiry. I found the book most inspiring by reading a number of the prayers in one sitting. Some were so powerful, I read them again, however, in that sitting. Finally, these prayers would serve well in a small group setting.
I loved The Mala Of God. It's one of those books to always carry because you can open it up to any page you want or need at the moment and it brings you peace. Regardless of your religion, you are able to still be spiritual in your own way.
The Mala of God is a profound collection of prayers and blessings by Mooji, beautifully complemented by his own pencil and ink drawings. This book transcends traditional spiritual literature; it is a heartfelt offering that blends devotion with the clarity of non-dual wisdom. Each page serves as a gentle invitation to surrender the ego and recognize the divine presence within. Mooji's words resonate deeply, guiding the reader toward a direct experience of the Formless, the Unborn Awareness that is our true nature.
Beautiful non duality prayer book. I can’t find myself in all of the prayers. Some I find really beautiful in search for the Self. Some of them I find more towards religion than spirituality and that makes me not really feel all of them.
