With a combination of great photos and interesting text, Jeff Cox not only suggests plant combinations that work extraordinarily well but also helps you understand how to choose the plant neighbors in your garden. The author's combination suggestions generally are suited for Zones 7 and below so as a gardener in the Northeast I found that most combinations were possible in my area or I could think of substitutes with similar foliage and flowers. Most of the combinations included bulbs, perennials, shrubs, and trees with few or no annuals presented. I highly recommend this book especially for new gardeners as Jeff Cox insight helps train your eye to look for other combinations in your surroundings.
