Drugged and gang raped at sixteen while attending a senior party, Lisa waited twenty-one years, reliving the event and wondering who would do this to her, before asking John LeGrand to find out. Grown men now, the rapists will do anything to protect their reputations, their livelihood, and their families--even murder. The narrative follows LeGrand as he struggles to find out who the rapists are, free Lisa from a murder charge, and keep his budding relationship with her alive.

This was my first Jude Roy book, and I'm definitely reading him again. I loved the refreshing dialogue - very believable. He wrote about a difficult subject matter with great respect for the reader. In the story, John LeGrand was cautious and fair, yet tenacious in getting to the truth of a horrible event that took place in Lisa's past. It can be difficult to write about these types of events, however Roy made it comfortable and believable without making it sensational and cheap. It is a well written story. I enjoyed the relationship between John and Lisa Ching from the beginning and fisted YES when he.....no spoilers here. Great read, great story.
