Lars: I always get what I want, and right now, what I want is Clarissa. Ever since that night outside the bar, when she first gave herself over to me, I knew there was more to this girl than meets the eye. I almost gave her up when I found out she's my coach's daughter, but even that's not enough to stop me from wanting her. Nothing can stop that... except my past. It was good just not as good as her other two books. Can't wait to read treenas story!!!

A life of crime, the lost of a friend and that dying friend's last words "Don't let it be for nothing" made Lars decide he needed to get out and that he did. Lars started playing football for the NFL and Coach Walker new he found a diamond in the ruff when he got Lars. The starting quarterback was taking them to the Super Bowl but not without a whole lot of drama before then.
Clarissa Walker, the coach's daughter, is a singer trying to find her mark in theater. Her problem is she's a curvy woman and always asked to lose a few pounds. Her best friend Madeline is also looking to break in as well. Maddie has the looks but not as strong a voice. The difference between the two friends, well Maddie is willing to do whatever it takes to land a role, while Clarissa is actually using her skills to land roles.
While out doing karaoke, Lars hears the most beautiful voice and it draws him in to walks closer to this voice. Meeting Clarissa that night wasn't planned but a rump in the alley will forever tie these two together. Lars past comes back to haunt him and Clarissa's stuck needing him more than ever. When he backs out of a contract with the mafia, will he loose Clarissa? A must read.

A former guy on the wrong side of the law turned football star heading to the Super Bowl. One night changed everything for him when he meets Clarissa and instantly fell in love with her voice and one steamy night led to everything else.
Clarissa is tough as nails and she doesn't just put up with anything from Lars. Lars seems to always be in the wrong place and doesn't always think fully before he acts. He knows his past is lurking in the background and he is trying to get away from it.
What both thought was one night in an alley turned into so much more. Little did they know then that her dad was the coach of his football team.
Lots of action and suspense with just a hint of the football thrown in. It had a nice balance. I personally love suspense books, so this one sure left me at the edge of my seat until the very end.

I was so thrilled to have another S. J. Bishop book to read. I really enjoy her books.
Hard Man is a sports romance with a lot of entertaining drama. Lars is a quarterback rookie that hooks up with Clarissa at a bar. Clarissa is struggling to get her break into acting/singing. Her dad is the lead coach of the football team Lars is on.
The chemistry between Clarissa and Lars is off the charts HOT but outside forces will conspire to keep them apart.
Definitely worth reading. Can't wait for her next book.

Clarissa is the daughter of the Giant’s Coach. One night she decides to take a chance she hooks up with Lars. Not aware that he happens to be the quarterback for her father’s football team. Clarissa shows up at the stadium one day to see her dad. Only Lars thinks she's stalking him. After getting out of the mob, can he stay away or will he be drawn back into it and risk everything. Including his new relationship with Clarissa.

I fell in love with this book from the very beginning. Lars is a character that you can tell has missed out on a lot in his life. After the death of his friend Ash, he gets out of the mob and tries out for pro football and makes it as the Giants quarterback. Little did he know that he head coach's daughter would be the next big change in his life. He's hotheaded and ends up getting into trouble with the league time and time again. But when he meets Clarissa, he cannot get her off of his mind.
Clarissa is feeling as if the world is on her shoulders as she tries out time and again for broadway only to be turned down. Her best friend Madeline is smaller than her and basically has the parts that they're both trying out for. After a bit of a shock on both of their parts, Madeline starts acting like a spoiled child and causing all kinds of problems.
Things go from bad to worse for these two, lives are at stake, but everyone finally pulls together at the last moment. This is one of those sit on the edge of your seat and can't put it down kind of boo that I absolutely love. Thank you for sharing.

Clarissa is the sexy girl with curves in all the right places. Yet finding a job on broadway, her curves only hinder her chances. She meets Lars one night in a bar and things get hot and heavy quick. She never intends to see him again but her luck is never on her side.
Lars got out of the mob to save himself and the memory of Ash. Ash was his best friend and he owed it to him to get out while he could. He is a the definition of a hard man with a dark soul. Yet when he meets Clarissa everything he has known somehow makes him rethink his life. Bombshell!!! Clarissa is Coach's daughter. The man he sees as a father figure and he is destroying not only his future but coach's as well. He never intended to hurt Coach or Clarissa. However, when things become more complicated than he realizes, his decisions affect all those around him. He has to make things right, but he doesnt know where to start.
This book leaves you on the edge of your seat and takes you on a stange and dangerous course that nobody ever wants to experience. It leaves you wanting more and the suspense is outrageous and triumphant!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. Overall this is a pretty fast read. After the basic story is laid out it just takes off and doesn't stop moving. Clarissa is trying to get on her feet with a real job as an actress and singer on Broadway after graduating from college. She has NO support in her career endeavors from her father who is not shy at all telling her she is wasting her time. Lars is from the wrong side of the tracks, but is trying hard to make better of himself. Boy meets girl... boy and girl get OVERLY introduced in an alley... check out the story to see do they end up together?? Does she get her dreams?? Or does temptation to backslide to the past kill any chance at a future....... Definitely check it out. Worth the read.

I really enjoyed this book about Lars and Clarissa. I started it and didn't stop until the end. I loved the suspense in this book. Clarissa is a feisty spitfire and Lars is quick to anger as evidenced by all the fines he's had to pay, lol. They make a great couple but will their secrets come between them? Oh, we can't forget the jealous and back-stabbing Madeline. I won't leave any spoilers, so one-click your copy and read another great read from SJ Bishop. I can't wait to one-click the ebook, when it goes live. I can't wait to read more from SJ Bishop, an automatic one-click for me.

Lars and Clarissa have a one night stand outside a bar. Neither of them knowing who the other was until one day when Clarissa goes to visit her dad at work. That's when they'll find out who each other is and how hard it is to go on without the other. Lars is a star quarterback for the Giants which is coached by Clarissa's dad. Lars also has a shady background that will comeback to haunt them both and they will find out more about each other.

Completely engaging and entertaining read. This story has it all Action, Danger, Past Interfering with the Present and Emotional Twists.
Lars is an extremely Hard Man both physically and emotionally for very good reasons. Clarissa may not be as hard as Lars but she also has scars of her own that are not seen on the outside. These two are the kinda explosively hot for each other kinda couple that just burns up the e-reader and makes you want to read all night long.

This was an amazing book.From reading the preview I didnt think i was going to enjoy this book.But once I got into it i realized i was so wrong ..This storyline was amazingly written.There is great character chemistry with all the main characters.I disliked Madeline and what she does but loved her in the end for doing what was right.So well written absolutely enjoyed and recommend.Added bonus for me it was about football somewhat which is a sport I love to read about.

This book has everything you want in a fast-paced, well-written, sports romance... suspense, action, danger, a shady past, chemistry, romance, love, and of course a HEA.
