Spinosaurus by Hugo Navikov
Jurassic Island by Viktor Zarkov
K-Rex by L.Z. Hunter

Spinosaurus
Brett Russell is a hunter of the rarest game. His targets are cryptids, animals denied by science. But they are well known by those living on the edges of civilization, where monsters attack and devour their animals and children and lay ruin to their shantytowns.
When a shadowy organization sends Brett to the Congo in search of the legendary dinosaur cryptid Kasai Rex, he will face much more than a terrifying monster from the past.
Spinosaurus is a dinosaur thriller packed with intrigue, action and giant prehistoric predators.

Jurassic Island
Guided by satellite photos and modern technology a ragtag group of survivalists and scientists travel to an uncharted island in the remote South Indian Ocean. Things go to hell in a hurry once the team reaches the island and the massive megalodon that attacked their boats is only the beginning of their desperate fight for survival.

Nothing could have prepared billionaire explorer Joseph Thornton and washed up archaeologist Christopher "Colt" McKinnon for the terrifying prehistoric creatures that wait for them on JURASSIC ISLAND!

K-Rex
Deep within the Congo jungle, Circuitz Mining employs mercenaries as security for its Coltan mining site. Armed with assault rifles and decades of experience, nothing should go wrong. However, the dangers within the jungle stretch beyond venomous snakes and poisonous spiders. There is more to fear than guerrillas and vicious animals. Undetected, something lurks under the expansive treetop canopy . . .
Something ancient.
Something dangerous.
Kasai Rex!
K-Rex is a prehistoric thriller filled with action, adventure, and savage dinosaurs

This book gets three stars because I’ve read Jurassic island before (in its own release) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other stories are regrettably just filler. I love a creature/cryptid novel but the others had very few redeemable characters and I struggled to engage with the plots. This isn’t to say I’d avoid them but they wouldn’t be at the top of my must read list. All in all a sufficient airport novel.
