The Message

Rate this book
A long-dead galactic civilization has left the human race a message deep in space, vital to our survival as a species. The Earth is no stranger to alien threats. Two years ago, the world was nearly devoured by an alien swarm, and ever since, David Lancaster, head of Interstellar Explorations, has vowed to protect the Earth from future attacks. But aliens aren’t David’s only problem.

When a rogue government official with a vendetta against David hunts him down, he is forced to flee earth in his spaceship, Defiance. He launches his long-planned search for a cylinder his late uncle, Captain Jason Randall, had written to him about. Along with his loyal crew, and his new love, Lucy Worthington, David knows he can find this extra-terrestrial intelligence. But the cylinder isn’t only filled with a benevolent message. Cyborgs have infested the ancient spacecraft, and they have one to stop David and his crew from returning home with the crucial message that could save Earth.

As David and Lucy overcome treachery and heartache in their quest to explore the mysterious cylinder, they discover a deeper love than they could have imagined, and dare to dream of a future together — if they can overcome the cyborg army intent on destroying them.
