Que sean amigos, vecinos y encima el sea Mariscal... hola!!!! Son mis clichés favoritos... 😍
Pero entonces el libro acaba abruptamente. Que me he quedado en plan: ya está? En serio? Así nos dejan? Yo quería saber que pasaba cuando le contasen a sus padres lo que había pasado. Sí, acaba bien y eso pero como que dejaron muchas cosas sin resolver... era una buena historia pero como que quedó con final incompleto... 🤷🏼♀️

Ligero sin mucho drama. Interesante la pareja pero con una trama bien trillada.

Realmente no me me gustó nada este libro.
Supuestamente Sean es el chico problemático que lo único que hizo bien en su vida fue jugar al fútbol americano.
Bree es la buena vecinita de al lado que se enamora del chico malo.
Ahora bien, nunca se realiza un explicación de por qué Sean es "tan malo". Solamente lo viven repitiendo. Pero cuando lees sus partes en el libro es súper dulce, que no daña ni a una mosca.
Por el otro lado Bree, mujer más desesperante, imposible encontrar. Cada capítulo que leía sobre ella me era insoportable.
Y después viene la declaración de él, que desborda su alma en cada palabra, y ella tan sólo lo besa... NUNCA HABLAN! Y como broche de oro unos celos tontos porque lo vio hablar con la ex. Para este punto quería quemar el libro.

This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed Bree and Sean's story. Sean is your typical bad boy, every one expects him to mess up but he is a talented Quarterback. He has feelings for Bree which he has not revealed to her. Bree is all your all time good girl and she has feelings for Sean that she has not shared with him.
When Bree is put in danger Sean acts to protect her. Without knowing the full story Sean is judged to be up to his old tricks and gets judged and condemned by everyone. Bree, and Sean's sister know the truth but in order to shield Bree Sean takes all the judgement coming his way and puts his sporting future on the line.
This was a sweet romance and definitely worth a read.

Como uno de los mejores mariscales de campo de universidad de todos los tiempos, sé cómo leer un jodido partido.
Pero la bella Bree es imposible de leer. Normalmente parece indiferente a mí, pero a veces tiene esta mirada en sus ojos que prácticamente me ruega que la tome allí y en ese momento. Es el tipo de chica que vuelve a los chicos como yo locos. Mientras el resto del país cae sobre sus rodillas por mi atención, ella ni siquiera me da la hora del día.
Generalmente puedo manejar la distancia entre nosotros, pero después de verla en peligro, algo en mí se rompe. Antes de que sepa lo que está pasando, estoy arriesgándolo todo para mantenerla a salvo.
Es inteligente, con los pies en la tierra, e inocente. Pero es más de lo que me merezco. Pero la quiero de todas maneras.

No voy a mentir, este libro esta lleno de clichés pero debo de admitir que son mi placer culpable. La historia me parece genial, rapida de leer. Cuando es un libro tan corto como este sabemos que el romance y todo transcurre a la velocidad de la luz pero debo decir que eso es lo que busco cuando leo este tipo de libros. Algo que me entretenga un rato y me sirva para descansar de lecturas pesadas.
Sean era el mejor amigo del hermano de Bree y, en ese sentido, eso lo puso fuera de su alcance, pero eso no significaba que el anhelo que tenía ella se iba a disipar. Ella lo amaba, lo sabía, pero hacer algo al respecto no era una posibilidad.
El incidente principal en el libro los lleva a los dos a un lugar en el que nadie desearía encontrarse y mientras Sean continúa asumiendo su papel designado como su protector, todos menos algunos que saben lo que realmente sucedió.
Hasta aca estaba todo bien, la historia me gustaba pero entonces el libro acaba abruptamente. Que me he quedado en plan: ya está? Asi termina? Así nos dejan? Snapped. This book was fun to read! I love books about sports romance. This story centers around Sean a football player and Bree who has been mesmerized by Sean since she was 12 years old. She has hidden her it because Sean is her best friend's brother and that would put a strain on their friendship. It all comes to a head when they all go to a party during Christmas break? Bree finds out Sean wants her also but their parents have a different idea of who Bree should be with. I enjoyed reading all the trials they go through to be together. Good read! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Poco a poco le he agarrado el gusto a los sport romance🥰⚽🏈🎿🏒 y por eso me animé con la reseña de este libro.
Esta historia cliché se centra en Sean (H), un jugador de fútbol, y su vecina de toda la vida: Bree (h), la mejor amiga de su hermana.
H: el típico bad boy, tatuado y el QB de su equipo de football universitario.
h: la típica good girl que siempre ha estado enamorada "en secreto" de su vecino.
Los dos sienten algo el uno por el otro y nunca lo han externado, pero no es hasta que Bree corre peligro durante las vacaciones de Navidad para que Sean se nombre como su protector. Hasta aquí todo bien, pero siempre tiene que haber un poco de drama 😅 y Bree no quiere ser la razón por la que Sean pierda todo por lo que ha trabajado tan duro.

Me gusto este libro corto. ¿Entonces por que le pongo 3 estrellas? Bueno, es que ese final fue horrible.
Quiero decir, estaba leyendo tranquilamente y de la nada se acabo. Se acabo y siento que debió contar algo más. Por lo menos un epilogo. Normalmente en los libros románticos que leo hay un epilogo para cerrar bien la novela. Tal vez por eso lo sentí tan abrupto el final.
En todo caso fue una linda historia.

Crush Love
It was cute how Sean and Bree both had crushes on each other growing up and got the opportunity to act on it when they were both home on break from college. I love how Sean defended Bree from Vincent and the way he went after her when she left abruptly due to the misunderstanding with Tiffany.

El primer libro que empecé este mes y termine también. Me gustó mucho aunque fue corto. Sabemos que cuando es corto y tiene un romance todos se desarrolla rápido, obviamente no significa que sea una mala historia. La amistad de Bree y Sophie me gustó mucho, pienso que era bastante real. Sean este chico tan seguro de lo que quiere en su vida y esta dispuesto a lo que sea para conseguirlo. La atracción entre Sean y Bree es algo tan inexplicable. Hubieron ciertos detalles que me hubiera gustado que explicarán más en especial algo que pasa al final. Creo que merece un segundo libro del cual estoy dispuesta totalmente a leer.

There are certain scenario’s that creep up every now and again in stories so it is difficult for an author to put a different spin on situations that centre around a well-worn path but this author managed to pull off a minor miracle because with this she gave me a story where I saw past the whole best friends little sister situation and took the two of them for who they were and not their connections…this was a realisation, an awakening of a longing that had gone unanswered for too long.
Sean was best friends with Bree’s brother and in that respect that put him out of her reach but that didn’t mean that the longing that had a stranglehold on her was going to just dissipate. She loved him, she knew it but doing something about it was a nonstarter and for her young heart that was emotionally crippling.
Sean was every young woman’s image of perfection, the sexy as sin quarterback who set not only the field alight but melted hearts wherever he went, but he harboured a secret crush too and it isn’t until Bree arrives back from College that he realises that this girl is his kryptonite. He might think he she is too good for him but that doesn’t mean he can stay away either.
Bree knew the minute she came back to town that she had been kidding herself, going away to college didn’t dull the feelings she had for Sean, it didn’t even make a dent in them because no matter how far, there is no-one else for her.
The main incident in the book takes the two of them to a place that nobody would ever wish to find themselves in and as Sean continues to shoulder his self appointed role as her protector, all but a few that know what really happened.
But secrets no matter how honourable have a way of eating away at not only the guilty but the innocent too and they are both reluctant to allow their situation to reign havoc with their futures. Bree doesn’t want to be the reason that Sean loses everything he has worked so hard for and takes matters into her own hands, but does that iron it all out?
Can they move on and if they can will it be together? Or will the confusion that seems to cloud them just shift place and leave even more confused?
These are questions that I can’t answer for you, you need to give the author the opportunity to show you what she has in mind for the two of them. Do I agree …well what do you think?
The story is well written and touching. It brought a truth to the page that wasn’t just far from easy to overlook, in fact it was impossible.

I was very excited throughout the first part but after the second half of the book everything went downhill. It ended very abruptly and I just didn’t connect with the characters after that

I'm loving the books from Meghan Lockley! Her latest Snapped is amazing! Breanna has been in love with her best friend's older brother Sean since she knew what love was, but she never thought he saw her. Sean has it all the looks, the great football career as a quarterback and girls that throw themselves at him, but the one thing he has always kept away from is his little sister's best friend, Breanna. Home for the holidays and the two no longer want to hide how they feel, but both are afraid to act on it. A night out at a party and an old girlfriend who is not afraid to make it known she wants another go, if only for the status being with Sean will bring, and a friend who pushes things too far. When Breanna is in trouble it's Sean there to save her, even if he thinks he could have done better. One moment has the ability to change so much for Sean and Breanna and when they both stop running/hiding from how they feel they find that place they were always meant to be. But relationships can be scary and hard so when Breanna runs Sean will chase to prove he's in it for the long haul. I loved Breanna and Sean, they are absolutely awesome together ! She is innocent, pure and has so much going for her he is shocked to learn she is still untouched. While at a party with some old high school friends Sean has to protect Bree from being assaulted by Vincent. I really really really enjoyed this book! As this is the first book of Meghan’s that I have read I was unsure on what to expect. Meghan’s story telling flows smoothly and is easy to follow. I devoured this book in one sitting and wanted more or Bree and Sean.
I liked both the hero and heroine, I loved that Sean stepped up to the plate and protected Bree even when his football college career was at stake. I loved that Bree stood up for her man, she was determined to make it known that Sean did what he did because he was protecting her. I liked Sean and Bree as a couple, the ending was sweet and I was left wanting more. I cannot wait to devour Meghan’s next release.

I liked both the hero and heroine, I loved that Sean stepped up to the plate and protected Bree even when his football college career was at stake. I loved that Bree stood up for her man, she was determined to make it known that Sean did what he did because he was protecting her. I liked Sean and Bree as a couple, the ending was sweet and I was left wanting more. I cannot wait to devour Meghan’s next release.

Bree and Sophie have been friends and neighbours seems like forever. Sophie's brother Sean is a different matter. Infatuation, a crush, first love, call it what you will but Bree has always wanted Sean but he was off limits. He was always around till college and now he is a star quarterback. After saving her from a horrible experience with Vincent at a party, Sean knows he wants to love and protect Bree always. Two young people having to deal with secret feelings, college, friendships , devious ex girlfriend Tiffany and so much more. Hopes, dreams and revelations keep this story very interesting. Loved it.

Breanna's first love was someone she couldn't have Breanna's best friend was Sophie and she was in love with her older brother, Sean. Growing up a ceoss the street was torture for her. Breanna is coming home for the holiday break from collage. Sean got in to a little trouble while he was at collage but he was working on being a better person. I very much enjoyed this story. There are a lot of twist and turns in this story, and it keeps your interest. I had a hard time putting this book down. It make me laugh, cry, and remember my first love.
