Love has never had it easy growing up. Losing her mother to the prison system, she had to step in and raise herself. Besides her mother, the only other person she has had is her best friend, Brandi. Living together and trying to make ends meet in expensive New York City seems nearly impossible. Especially, when her best friend has three mouths to feed, along with her dead beat baby father. Keeping her head low and working at a hotel for close to minimum wage, Love is convinced that things will pick up for her. That is, until Burna pushes himself into her life -- literally.

When he awakes from a night of wild sex and heavy drinking with missing money, plus jewelry, he finds Love in his hotel room and all hell breaks loose. Oh wowwwwww!!!!
I guess little Miss.Envy done got caught up with her stealing from men. I still think Burna still dealing with Tory, if so I don't think it's going to end nice with him and Love. I have a strong feeling that Rell had everything to do with Drake head in Kashira bed and I also feel like he getting out of prison sooner then we think. I'm also thinking this is going to start a war with Rell and Boogie because Kashira didn't tell Rell she wanted a divorce so in his mind there still happily together. I feel sorry for Brandi for losing her baby daddy but he was no good. Excited and anxious for part 2. Goodread Jahquel J

I did not see that ending coming. Envy really is ole girl who set up Burna? And I'm not liking the way Kashira is living she is just foul. Boogie really likes her and she still has not filed for a divorce like come on be a woman and get a job if you are afraid of losing that lifestyle. Love is my girl she is hardcore but soft on the inside. Great read

WOW I can't believe that Envy is the chic that got Burna for his stuff! I hope Burna and Love can be together after this. Kashira should've went ahead and told Rell she wanted a divorce now things are getting worse. I like Boogie and want him Kashira together but I now he is going have to go through a lot before that can happen.

The book was a good read, I’m just mad there was never a sequel so there is a huge cliffhanger with so many unanswered questions. Had I known it wasn’t truly a standalone, I wouldn’t have read it.

Man this book was a good read. Love the characters and the story line I felt like I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. And the part about the rum from Barbados lol u are spot on. Take it from a girl born and raised in Barbados that rum is no joke.

great book.Kashire was playing a very dangerous game playing these men for their money and she got a husband. Now Love i like her she got her guard up because she feels she can't trust Burna and she has the right to because he was a player.i love how things are going for them,but i got a feeling he go think she set him up because it was his sister that robbed him.So much drama going on with these "couples" ,and only seems to be the beginning. overall great book and I strongly recommend everyone to read it.

When I read the synopsis for this book I was really excited about reading it, but honestly, I did not care for this book very much. The flow of it was not that great and it was just missing something. There was no chemistry between the characters and nothing exciting going on that had me on the edge of seat.
