Boston Brand is a character you don't see featured in his own story often, so I was pleasantly surprised to see how good these books have been thus far. The artwork is beautiful and detailed description add a nice touch the story. I'm very interested to see how this story wraps up in the third and final book. Definitely worth checking out if you're a Boston Brand fan.

This story isnt for everyone. However it is very well written and without a doubt has the haunted love story feel to it.Personally from what i know of Deadman in Justice League Dark they kind of have him shackled in this story and its hard to appreciate his character to the fullest under those circumstances.

Book 2: Still Dead
I was not a fan of Book One (other than the art). Adelia, the ghost of the big, old, creepy house, asks Deadman, “Are you like me, Boston?”
Deadman responds, “If you mean dead and stuck in a haunted mansion, the answer is yes.” That summarizes Book One.
A few panels give us Adelia story. She was murdered.
Bernice & her boyfriend Nathan are the owners of the big, old, creepy house. He’s a writer, trying to finish a book and steps into the story to interact with Bernice and just as quickly steps out. I’m not trusting the guy.
Bernice, who can see both Deadman and Adelia, investigates Adelia’s history at the local library.
Nathan steps back into the story and asks Bernice to marry him. All Hell breaks loose, like an earthquake is gripping the house.
Book Two features more Deadman. Again great art but I’m not that interested in what happens with any of the characters (aside from Deadman) in Book Three.

Deadman is some really unknown DC hero, apparently? Which doesn't matter since this is just a great story about a haunted house with strong characters and an amazing art style.
(And some good an solid bisexual and non-binary representation, which has nothing to do with the plot and is just kinda there, and I think it's great.)

A ghost story mystery with demons and non-binary identities and non-traditional art styles?

Sure. I'm digging it. It hasn't been particularly revolutionary, but it has felt fresh.

Nice. This seems to be a really good story, darker than I expected and with some inclusive content I'm happy to read about! Quick, entertaining and with a great sense of aesthetics. I'm eager to see how things end!
Agradable.
