This was a cute and fun escape. I loved the setting, I've visited Colorado many times and its a beautiful place, so it was easy to picture this picturesque town. Chance is a charming billionaire, who is surprisingly very down to earth. He seemed like a really nice guy. I actually thought Summer was a little rough on him (one minute saying she hates when people judge others by their appearance, and in the same breath is calling him a "suit" and judging him for his appearance/job.) Summer is full of life though, very outdoorsy and has big plans for her future. They have a fun courtship and of course a big misunderstanding that puts their newfound romance to the test.
Overall, this was a cute read. I haven't read all the books in this series yet (but totally plan to) and appreciated that this can stand so well on its own. Recommend to any fan of contemporary romance.

There's not much that I love more than a sassy heroine and a stud of a hero. Summer's world crumbles when her dad sells their family business and she loses her job (and designs) as a toy designer. While taking some time to save up some money and figure out her next step, she is literally run over by Chance--and what a chance meeting that is! This Channing Tatum look-alike tries hard to sweep her off her feet, while figuring out how to tell her the truth about who he is.
Channing...I mean, Chance...is dreamy, sweet, persistent and most girls' ideal. He's got swag, confidence, the looks, money, and manners. Summer is full of spunk--the more she teases and pushes him away, the more he chases her. I love that he has to work hard for what he wants. The chemistry between Chance and Summer sizzles right off the pages like ice melting on a hot day. It's super swoony and volatile, while still staying clean. Those kisses...I'm still fanning myself...
This story isn't all about the romance though. The setting is spectacular and has me longing for summer days, as it's very descriptive. The way the story plays out is interesting, as well as how the truth is discovered. I love realistic reactions to different situations and this one really delivers. This book is a perfect escape for a wintery day!
Content: swoony romance (kissing, some making out (not very descriptive), mild innuendo)
*I received a complimentary copy from the author, which in no way influenced my opinion. All thoughts are my own.*
This book was yummy! So, so yummy. I loved it! The characters were vibrant, the dialogue was snappy and entertaining and the kissing scenes were toe curling! Yay!! I think this one my be my favorite of them all.
If only there was a Chance Judd for everyone in this world. I'm pretty sure the world would be a happier place. :) I like how balanced Chance and Summer were in wits and smarts. They were well matched and complimented each other well. The chemistry between them was fantastic.
It was also fun seeing characters from previous books. Just a glimpse of them, really, but a bit like coming home. Ooh, and I love the cover!
This Billionaire Bride Pack Romance series is such a fun one. Maybe a bit unrealistic because how many young, attractive, gentlemanly billionaires are really out there? I don't know but honestly, I don't really care. These books provide a fantastic diversion and I so enjoy reading them.
Cami is one of my favorites in the clean romance writing world. If you haven't read anything by her, you really, really should check her out.
Summer is out of work, out of money and out of the crazy adventures she loves to take with her friend to anywhere around the world. When her family toy company is sold unexpectedly (while she was out of the country) she is turned upside down and left trying to figure out where to go and how to find another dream job. She ends up in Colorado near several of her friends who made the Billionaire Bride Pact. She's never really cared either way if she marries a billionaire or not, or if she really ever settles down. She loved her wandering and adventurous lifestyle...now if she can only get back on her feet she'll be off to tackle the world again!
Chance and his brother Byron have quite a good setup going, and plenty of time to enjoy life. Their company Mumford's Sons is at the top of its game. Chance has decided to take a little R & R after a couple big deals go through. Enjoying a beautiful bike ride in Colorado he unfortunately runs into a blonde spitfire runner. Watch out Chance, she's not one to hold back the comments.
Summer has some great lines throughout this book, especially at the beginning. I was chuckling and highlighting them as I read. Overall her character was witty and not a pushover but there were a few things that made it hard to connect with her as much as I would have liked to as she was our leading lady. Most of her personality was understandable since she was cautious at trusting people after her company and career are pulled out from under her but some of her reasons for putting off getting to know Chance frustrated me. One moment she's talking about going on adventures around the world with different boyfriends from all over and yet she refused Chance for lots of reasons that she wouldn't always bat her eyes at from other men.
Overall though she was very witty and I did enjoy her character, just those moments having to do with what I mentioned above were what bothered me.
Chance, ummm hello he was amazing! How could she not jump at the chance(Hee hee) to get to know Chance. Now was he part of the company that helped her father sell the family company...yep! Was he aware of the fact that she was the daughter who was the toy designer of said company...yep!
Ohhhhhh was he going to be in trouble when she found out.
Come on Chance, TELL HER!!!!
ok, phew, he's going to tell her...oh wait he didn't.
No Chance!!!! Don't put it off, you'll be sorry.
;-D
The scenery sounded beautiful and the adventures that they experienced were pretty amazing, not gonna lie, I'd love to go on some of those adventures (with my hubby of course <3 ).
I think this is one of my favorite couples from this series, granted I've read half or just over half of them. I loved the chemistry and dialogue. Very fun. If you're looking for a sparks flying, zinging, funny, laugh out loud remarks type of clean romance book...look no further it's right here.
Content: Kissing ~ from sweet kisses to a little bit more swoony kissing but nothing further than kisses.
I snagged a copy from Amazon when it was free recently. (Now I'm off to read the short companion book about Chance's brother Byron)
After losing her job, her toy designs and her lifestyle, Summer is in need of a fresh start. What better place than Crested Butte, CO where one of her best friends lives for said fresh start?! Working at Sugar N' Spice until she can figure out her next move and find a new job, she embraces all the beauty around her. So what's a girl to do when a gorgeous stranger runs her off the trail? Why she embraces him too! ;)
Chance is visiting Crested Butte for a much needed vacation. He's out enjoying the beautiful scenery when out of no where he runs a beautiful hiker off the trail. After their first encounter he decides that he must get to know her better. She's sassy, feisty, funny and can definitely keep him on his toes. But Summer isn't going to make it easy on him.
Things are going great between the two of them until Summer discovers the secret that Chance has been keeping from her. How can they move forward when he was the on responsible for ruining the life she had? Does she care enough about him to overlook everything and forgive him? Or will she force herself to move on breaking both of their hearts?
While I loved the setting, the banter, the swoony kisses and good ol' Chance, I have to say that I didn't love Summer. :( While I found her sassy in the beginning, it got to the point where she was a bit snotty and I wanted Chance to run far away. Haha. Maybe it's just my mood? But I absolutely LOVED Chance! I thought he was a pretty amazing guy. He can come rescue me any day! ;) Hehe.
It never fails... Ms. Checketts always has me waiting not so patiently for her next book. I can always count on her to sweep me into a suspenseful, swoony adventure. I can't wait to see what she has in store next!
As for the casting... for those that have already read this book already... please don't be disappointed in me! I just couldn't picture anyone else! Haha. The heroine is all me though.. ;) Hehe.
Summer Andrews had what she considered the perfect life--designing toys for her father's company, Magical Dream Toys, while getting to travel the world with friends. Her father recently sold the company, with help from Mumford's Sons, and the new owners who were supposed to keep all the present employees, didn't. Now she's out of a job, the new owners have all of her toy designs, and because she didn't save much of her money when she had a job, she's also broke. A friend gives her a job at her home decor store in Crested Butte, CO while she looks for another job.
Chance Judd is the owner of Mumford's Sons, the company that helped sell Magical Dream Toys. He's vacationing in Crested Butte and literally runs into Summer while biking on a trail. He keeps asking her out to dinner and when they finally go out he realizes she was the toy designer for Magical Dream Toys, and it's kind of his fault she lost her job. He's really interested in her but afraid to tell her this piece of information. Uh oh.
I loved Chance (the Channing Tatum lookalike). He sounded divine--a sweet and thoughtful guy, absolutely perfect--except for not telling Summer about him being part of Mumford's Sons. He does try to make it up to her by secretly helping her get a job with another toy company. That two day date with Summer had me swooning. My husband of almost 27 years hasn't ever planned a weekend getaway for us and Summer gets that awesome date!
I liked Summer at the beginning of the book--she had cute, snappy comebacks for Chance, but then she seemed a little too judgmental calling him "suit" and that he "sounded like a lawyer". She wasn't in the country when her dad sold the company so she didn't know everything about the sale, but insisted on putting all the blame on Mumford's Sons for her dad selling the company. I felt very satisfied when her father finally set her straight about that and told her about the new owners. She kind of redeemed herself with me in the end.
I've only read a couple of books by Cami Checketts but I really enjoy her clean romance stories. This is my first Billionaire Bride Pact Romance but it probably won't be my last. I'm glad I took a chance reading this one. Get it? lol
This was yet another book in the Billionaire Bride Pact Romance series. I like how they all sort of interconnect. I enjoyed the playful banter and humor in this story, but the female protagonist really bothered me. Maybe it's just me but I couldn't identify with her as I felt like she was pretty selfish and spoiled throughout most of the story. I DID however really enjoy reading through the male protagonist!
Quick, fun read! Summer loved the creativity and the independent lifestyle that her job as a toy designer gave her. When her father sold the company, the new owners fired her and now she is in Crested Butte working at her friend's store trying to figure out how to get her life back on track. Unable to afford her favorite hobby of mountain biking, she has resorted to running when she is run off the track by a gorgeous guy on an expensive mountain bike.
Chance really goes above and beyond to get a date with her, but then he discovers that he is partly responsible for her losing the job she loved so much. He knows if he tells her right away, he will never have the chance to get to know her better. But lying to her isn't really a great option either. You really feel for Chance because he's in a tough spot.
I also liked the contrast between Chance and his older brother, Byron. So I immediately read "The Disenchanted One" because I wanted Byron's story...
This was a super fun read! I loved Chance and Summer and how they bantered! Even when they weren't getting along, they were still cute. I liked seeing the other side of Byron and catching up with a few of my other favorite couples!
This is a cute story which fits well into the billionaire pact series of books. It is a squeaky clean with some nice, steamy kissing scenes. It is a stand alone novella.
I was disappointed in this book as I have read others in the series and liked them. It's hard to like a book in which the main character is a bit immature and quick to judge. I disliked her so much within the first two chapters I almost deleted it but gave it a shot to see if the author could redeem her. What was supposed to be witty banter on her part comes off as plain obnoxious and at times crosses into downright mean. She uses this 'teasing' in an effort to demean the hero and prey on his small insecurities in a very new and undefined relationship. It's just not cute. She also assumes he's always looking to take advantage of her virtue or something. Just be a big girl and set ground rules. The hero is pretty near perfect. Flawed enough for a conflict to exist. Conflict is easily resolved once adult logic is applied. Even after the h's father points out that it's time for her to grow up and support her own lifestyle she's still to proud and petty to fix her part of the conflict. In the end the H makes it all better and I see no growth in the h. Feel free to skip this one. Adds nothing to the series.
The Daring One was a great wrap up to the Billionaire Pact books written by Cami Checketts.
I loved everything about Chance Judd. He had tons of patience and wasn't afraid to go for what he wanted. Even when Summer repeatedly shot him down he stayed the course. His brother was a bit of a tough one for me. I feel like I need to read his story to really get a clear picture of him but in this book he irritated me more often than not. I almost felt sorry for Chance having to deal with all that was surrounding him. He seemed like such a nice guy.
Summer was a strong woman that had her life in front of her only to have it all shift and tear away. I understand she was a bit bitter about being let go from her position as a toy maker after her father sold the company and was assured she would be kept on. But, honestly there were times that I found her just plain rude and mean. There were other times I really liked her. I think this made me even more disappointed when she would resort to her almost bratty behavior.
Overall the story was really good. I'm a big fan of Ms. Checketts and will definitely be reading more of her books.
I'm giving this two stars rather than one because I take partial responsibility for not liking this book. I was looking for a short free audiobook for a challenge and this one worked. And I missed the 'Clean Romance' and 'Christian Fiction' tags. Now I don't have any problems reading books in those sub-genres but the book needs to be well written with a good story. Unfortunately this one was sickly sweet and bland. And it was so aggressively Clean that it came across as sanctimonious.
And let's discuss the heroine for a moment. I really can't like a book when I don't like the actions of the heroine. And as we learn towards the end and then there's the fact that she's broke because she blew all of her money. But she lets her father believe that she's well off.
Loved it! Do yourself a favor and read this book. Very fun. Summer is hiding out after losing her toy making job in a corporate takeover. She’d rather bike but can’t because she spent all her wages on worldwide travel. How unfortunate that she meets Chance when he runs her over. Summer put up a great deal of resistance and Chance just kept wearing her down, until the truth comes out. Then Chance really has his work cut out for him if he plans to woo the even more elusive Summer. If you missed any of the Billionaire Bride Pact Romances read them immediately. The dialogue is delightful. The back stories are all believable and you can’t beat the scenery or the sizzle. It’s all clean enough for your fourteen year old daughter or your grandmother. Enjoy.
Summer Anderson's dad sold their toy business while she was out of the country, seeking additional inspiration for her designs. When Chance Judd accidentally knocks her over on a hike and bike trail, he is instantly attracted to her, but he doesn't know that his company facilitated her demise. After he finds out, he keeps it secret, hoping to earn her forgiveness.
This tale is a breathtaking blend of Contemporary Religious Fiction, Religious Romance, and Inspirational Religious Fiction genres. The sparks between the pair are astounding. The sass she displays is splendid. The end is spectacular.
A two-star rating means as a minimum that I finished a book. That is what it means in this case. I did not particularly like this book. The problem with this story was that Summer was unlovable IMO from the get-go. This never changed. I listened to the audio and I always wonder whether my imagination would have given different inflections to the printed word than the narrator does. Be that as it may, Summer's brattiness made Chance seem like a doormat--a pathetic guy who didn't stand up for himself against Summer's craziness.
Summer is running in the hills of Crested Butte, Colorado and hears someone say on your left, which means a biker is coming around her so she runs to the right, only too far and winds up going down wrong and now has scrapes, with some bleeding and twigs everywhere. Thankfully he isn't a jerk and comes to make sure she is alright. What happens next? What happens when she finds out who he really is? Not just his name? Read this great story by Cami Checketts to find out!
This is a sweet, clean romance. This is Summer and Chase's story, two business personalities that fall for each other, but once Chase realizes their connection, he keeps quiet, fearing his losing Summer. Summer finds out through her new boss who Chase is and vows to never forgive him. Will true love win out or will Summer's stubbornness rip apart both their hearts?
Fun, cute, and exciting! Summer is fun-loving and adventurous and currently in a small town helping her friend at a shop because the her father's toy company sold to a new company and the new company fired the family, even though they said they wouldn't. Summer would love to create new toys and sketches new designs all the time. Chance is a billionaire whose company sold Summer's dad's company, but he isn't sure how to tell her that.... How can this work? Oh, it's exciting!
Another one of Cami Checketts Billion Bride Pact Romance novels that has been so fun to read. I have loved reading all of these books about these young girls that met at girls camp and made a pact to only marry billionaire's when they got older or sing a silly song at their wedding. Now as they are all coming of age they seem to all be marrying billionaire's and their stories are all so fun and a little unbelievable to believe.
*sigh* I loved this book! I really enjoyed the fun banter between Chance and Summer. This book was awesome and I like the relationship they were able to form with each each other so quickly. This whole series had been amazing and I am sad they are coming to an end. They have all been incredible and Cami continues to write one amazing book after another you HAVE to give them a try!
This was so cute! Fun story, delightful characters, sweet escape. The only thing that threw me off was that the book actually ends at about the 74% mark because it includes a bonus short and two chapters of other books. That being said, I loved the bonus short which resolves things for Chance's brother. I will be looking into the other books of this series.
Hated it from beginning to end because Chance was lying to Summer from the beginning. He had sooo many opportunities to tell her who is was and instead continued to lie until he was caught. I just didn't buy that Summer should have a complete turn-around once she had a talk with her dad (which once again wasn't 100% honest so a theme with this story). Just awful.
This book was fun - like a Hallmark movie. So of course I won’t review the cheese because that’s how these books are. The only bad thing for me was her personality. I wasn’t a big fan. She reminded me too much of someone that says the exact things and drives me bananas. But the storyline was fun and the dates were awesome.
She was such a jerk playing with his feelings and emotions with incessant teasing even though she already knew that he was interested in her. He was kind and a well written character although I wish that the author gave more information about him besides the fact that he looked like Channing Tatum. Overall, the book was a good pass time.
So much great banter and snark in this one. It made me laugh therefore I loved it. Just a nice quick escape that left me smiling. That's a win in my book. Summer sense of humor resonated with me and I found her hilarious.
I've enjoyed this Billionaire Bride Pact series. The Daring One is a great addition and one of my favorites!

The Kindle version of this book now contains the bonus story The Disenchanted One which is about Chane's brother Byron. It's one you'll want to read after finishing this so you can see a HEA for Byron.
This was a fun read. I loved all the outdoor adventures that Chance took Summer on. I loved their daring spirits. The characters are great and I love the slight overlap with other friends from the Billionaire Brides Pact friends.
