Δυο γενιές: η πολυσυζητημένη -και μυθοποιημένη- «γενιά του Πολυτεχνείου», η μεγαλωμένη στον απόηχο του φεστιβάλ του Γούντστοκ, με την «κλασική» ροκ των sixties και των seventies · και αυτή των σημερινών εικοσάρηδων: η γενιά των σχολικών καταλήψεων και των ηλεκτρονικών υπολογιστών· της μοναξιάς και της σύγχυσης. Αυτή που θα 'χει τον πρώτο λόγο μετά το 2000. Μέσα από σχέσεις και συγκρούσεις οι διαχωρισμοί και οι αφορισμοί αίρονται. Οι ερμηνείες δεν αρκούν, οι ψυχές παίζουν τα δικά τους παιχνίδια, δοκιμάζοντας τα όριά τους. Ώσπου, γεμάτος μουσική και άρωμα βροχής, ο έρωτας που πότισε την πρώτη γενιά και πέρασε σαν όνειρο στη δεύτερη, θα 'ρθει να τις ενώσει στη ζωή, που θα είναι για πάντα εδώ, άσχετα αν οι πιο πολλοί από μάς, συχνά από δική μας επιλογή, είμαστε αλλού.

Niovi Lyri (greek: Νιόβη Λύρη)was born in 1957 in Athens, Greece. She studied greek language and literature and she worked for many years as a high school teacher. She has published three novels in her native language (and country)): "Knife in the boot" (1997), "The volunteers" (2003) and "Morning Intercity" (2006), as well as a novella in English, "The doll and the horse (through Amazon KDP, indie publishing). She has also been uploading on her personal blog niovilyri.dot.wordpress.dot.com for free a large part of her officially unpublished work, which consists of novels and novellas potentially classified as speculative fiction, as they are located mainly in future suggesting an optimistic look at it.
She strongly believes in international spread on literature (and of ideas in general) through web and modern technology, both free and non free. (Considering them as interacting/supporting each other in the contemporary open market). For this reason she has recently started writing in english (too), which she doesn't think of as comparable to native english authors' language fluency and style but rather as a kind of simpler, international english to be read worldwide as well as a feedback for native language knowledge.

Η Νιόβη Λύρη γεννήθηκε το 1957 στην Αθήνα, όπου και σπούδασε κλασική φιλολογία. Από το 1995 περίπου ασχολείται συστηματικά με το γράψιμο. Έχουν εκδοθεί ως τώρα τρία ελληνικά μυθιστορήματα με την υπογραφή της, "Μαχαίρι στην μπότα" (Οδυσσέας, 1997), "Οι εθελοντές" (Ελληνικά Γράμματα, 2003) και "Πρωινό Ιντερσίτυ" (Εστία, 2006), καθώς και μια νουβέλα στα Αγγλικά, "The doll and the horse", σε indie έκδοση από το Kindle Direct Publishing της Amazon.
