Closed Legs Don't Get Fed

Rate this book
CHELSEA WHITE grew up rich but the cost to maintain the spoils of her lavish lifestyle came at the price of following her parents’ strict blueprint. Choosing to do away with their rigid plan, she rebels and finds herself swallowed up by the streets she was shielded from but now loves. The thrill of making and breaking her own rules and doing it all her way has Chelsea on a high. But what happens when the allure of the streets shows its tarnished colors and smooth sails turn into turbulent waters? Will the prodigal daughter return home, begging on her knees? Or will she live by the prostitute’s code that CLOSED LEGS DON’T GET FED and stand on her own two feet.

The storyline was OK. Chelsea was The typical character that doesn’t want help. She wants to stay in the streets and use the ones that cared about her. I thought they could have been more creative with the babies name but hopefully she doesn’t follow in her mother footsteps. And the last thing I did not like was how the book just stopped. I went to turn the page and that was it. Jason and Sarah were talking about Chelsea leaving and it was just over.

Compelling Afterthought...

I found this story very conpelling. I love how it gave you both point of views from Chelsea and Jason's side. The only thing that irked me the most while reading was the lack of thought in naming Chelsea's daughter. This made her feel almost feel as more of an after thought than an integral part of the story. This is what made me gave this book 4 stars instead of five. But it is definitely a good read.

good read!

The cover was deceiving since the book was about a white lady. However I will not point out every flaw like every other review. Yes there were a few errors but I enjoyed the book. I wish
Chelsea had the strength to get out the streets. It was really a good book. You can only help people so much before you end up getting hurt.

Very good book

This was a very good book. I am very glad to see that a Jason still took care of baby Chelsea as his own, even though he knew the baby wasn’t his. He even finally let Chelsea go and found someone that truly loved him and not use him.

Overall good book. I did feel like at a certain point it felt rushed this is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. I tried hard to picture in my mind Chelsea as a white woman but I couldn’t so she was a very fair skin black Woman in my head 🤣

Semi easy read. Some chapters didn't flow well. Seemed to jump ahead abruptly in some parts. I was going to buy the 2nd part, based on the title but part 1 was not as intriguing as it could've been. This story line had a lot of potential, sadly it was rushed and left out details.

Pretty good

Although fairly predictable, its a good story. Its not long and drawn out either, which makes it a good book to cuddle with before bed.

Quick Read

Quick read, kind of engaging … but a little lackluster. I expected more and it just didn’t give it to me.
Expecting more with the 2nd part.

Very good book.

I really enjoyed the story line. Very real life. Main characters depicted life as it could be in the streets. I plan on reading part 2.
