My story isn't a very conventional one. I met my man online, which isn't a shocking thing nowadays.
I sure didn't know that he would rescue me from hell.
I had been stuck in hell with no way out. Then Techy swooped in with guns blazing and took me out of there. A knight in shining leather.
I didn't expect to feel what I feel; that I would fall in love, that I would feel safe and protected.
I had never felt that before.
Until Techy.
Techy is a member of the Devil’s Souls MC, the most notorious MC in Texas. They love hard and fight harder. You mess with their family, hell is something you'd beg for.
Shit hits the fan when someone from my past comes to get what my dead father never gave back to him.
My name is Alisha and this is my story.
Techy
A man is after my woman.
He won’t be a man much longer.
He dares to try and take her from me?
Hell is something he'll beg for. Because nobody, and I mean nobody, looks in Alisha's direction in a way I don't like. If they do? They'll be eating their teeth.
If you threaten her? Death is an easy way out.
I will do whatever it takes to protect her.
This book has a HEA, with no cheating and a obsessed alpha. If you don’t like instalove this book isn’t for you.
Insta-lust. Insta-love. Insta-commitment. Jordan "Techy" Walker and Alisha met through a dating app and their sizzling connection was immediate. After rescuing her from the hellhole she called home, Techy wasted no time on laying his claim. And Alisha wasn't complaining.
I really liked this story. Enough that I'm going back to read Torch and I plan to read Butch's story when it comes out. It was incredibly sappy but in no way was Techy soft. Well, he was pretty soft with his woman, but that was okay and the author made it work. I expected that because Techy was a hacker for the MC that I'd see something that he did along those lines. There wasn't much and it was pretty slim pickings. There were instances that highlighted his technological skills, but only there wasn't enough for me. I did, however, like how cold and lethal he could become when things needed to be done. Loved it!
I enjoyed the way the author blended the scary and the sweet. Techy and Alisha say "I love you" on almost every page, but there were plenty of real MC moments. A few gross ones too. I just wish the action scenes were fleshed out a bit more. Regardless, I was thoroughly entertained by this story. I'm excited to get to know more about Butch, hopefully see these characters again, and explore some more happy endings!
Release Date: April 6, 2017 Genre: Contemporary - MC Romance trope POV: Dual - 1st person Steam: 4 out of 5 Book Type: Standalone - Book 2 of the Devils Souls MC series
Anyone who tries to tell you that you can't have a really good MC story without skanky cheating manwhores and club whores etc....well tell them to check this out...
Techy was fantastic. Protective, sexy and a total badass. He swooped in took care of Alisha when she needed him most. He was patient and didn't push her. He loved her so much.
I really liked Alisha. She was young and dealing with a horrible home life. However. once she was with with Techy and felt safe, a little streak of tough girl came out. I think she even surprised herself a couple of times.
-no cheating -no ow/om drama -no pushing away -violence from club activities -great secondary characters that I can't wait for their stories. I loved that they were not manwhores and screwing everyone and then we were supposed to forget that and love them as future heroes. They were great. -a great epilogue 13 years out- and it's a series imagine that! It CAN be done!
*I did not read book one and I do feel like there were several characters that they referred to that I felt like I was missing their story. It didn't take away from my enjoyment though.
I’ve waiting for Techy since his very first mention on Torch‘s book and now he is here in all is badass gecky glory!
Techy, aka Jordan, and Alisha’s portraits two of my favorite tropes in romance, insta-love/lust and savior/damsel in distress, so right there LeAnn Ashers immediately won me over. She does this type of tales perfectly, given us somewhat of a super HOT modern life fairytale.
Most of all, I want to love and I want the unconditional love people have in fairytales.
Alisha sure got what she wished for, in spades!
Techy and Alisha first made contact in Torch’s book – but don’t worry, it’s retold here – and they were instantly drawn to one another. Jordan was Alisha’s lifeline to the outside world, after many and many years of abuse and neglect by her parents, specially her father. Techy was captivated by her sweetness and innocence, her inner light, and had no idea the horror she was leaving, so when the situation escalates and he realizes what she has been suffering, he takes care of the situation, in the most ruthless of ways, because to him, she is his. And no one hurts what is his.
Alisha is so innocent, and I’m a selfish bastard. I want her so fucking bad. I wanted her from the moment I saw her.
Alisha is mine. Body, soul, heart—every single part of her is mine. She will always be mine until we die. She is going to be the mother of my kids, my wife.
Jordan did indeed rescue her just in nick of time, becoming truly everything to Alisha. Her real life knight in shining armor – or better yet, a leather covered, tattooed bike rider -, solidifying her feelings for him. She wanted everything with him, love and lust demanded so, and I loved how the author created here a slow burn in the sexual department, that generated a lot of sexual tension and build up, that made the sex scenes that much scorchingly delicious.
Jordan is a ten, and these men are sixes on a good day. We may be biased, but they are too pretty for us. We like them tattooed and with that bad-boy vibe.
I want more of everything. His touch, his mouth. It’s not enough, and I’m aching. Down there.
We could say here is where Alisha’s true life starts. Techy wants to show her everything, and to give her the world. She becomes the center of his dark world – and beware of this, because this book really has a quite a bit of graphic descriptive violence to it, so the dark element is certainly there – as much as he becomes hers. His love and devotion really shone through in every moment of the story, and I was touched with his caring and protective nature where she was concerned. They definitely were the perfect match.
“Angel, I don’t deserve you. I don’t deserve any part of you,” he hisses. I tear up. I sit up, touching his face. I kiss him on the lips slowly, thoroughly, putting everything I feel into this kiss. “You deserve me. You may think you don’t deserve me, but you have had me from the moment you messaged me. You’ve always have.”
“Angel, you saying this means I am going to marry your ass. I am going to put babies in you. You’re mine forever. You were mine before, but now, it’s time for you to hear it.”
Now, you must be asking yourself why, since I loved so many elements to this story, have I not rated it any higher, and I’ve got to tell it was definitely not because of the enrapturing premise and storyline, but I simply just couldn’t get past, and was a lot of times distracted by it, the heavy amount of inconsistencies thought the plot, timeline, and editing wise – closely similar to the issues I had with the author’s first book- , as well as sometimes, character personality wise, with drastic shifts, specially Alisha. Like I’ve said, it distracted me and stole my attention and the credibility of some parts of the story for me.
But as you also can see by my rating and review, I still enjoyed Techy and all is badass insta-love/lust goodness and will definitely carry on reading the rest of the series, and all other LeAnn books. It’s so rare to find safe MC romance books, and this gives us that in spades. Techy was completely safe! It is mind blowing to see the love, devotion, faithful and protectiveness that these men have for their women. It totally swoonworthy! So much so that, I can’t wait so see what she gives us with Butch, Vinny and Trey!
Together forever. I am too fucking selfish to even let her up for air. She is my air. I breathe her every second of the day. She is my everything.
He became my protector. My husband. The father of my kids. My lover. My shoulder to cry on. My best friend. Most of all, he is my heart, my soul.

This might suck, but holy shit snacks this book is terrible. Wait, don't trip, it's not like i was really expecting like a book with a plot that would make me re-evaluate my life choices. I mean this is smut. Most couples in this genre seem to have a humping sex life even married with kids, some of my married friends would scoff at this but see me, i know i have to suspend some parts of my brain for this so i'm cool. What i can't let go (and seriously i've read books with some messed up plots, vines having sex with human, groceries having sex with human, dinosaurs, demons- damn i've read some messed up books) anyways you get the drift, i've been around the book block so to speak.. What really eeks me about your books so far is really the editing. LeAnn your books go on for far too long.. Too long.. Your editor is doing you a disservice by letting this fly.
Speaking of editing,
it's a hot mess. scene 1: The MC gang have gone out for some food. The book says "A huge table stretches from one end of the room to the other...and i end up sitting next to Jordan and Butch..." Anyways Jordan doesn't like this because they're all jealous anti social shits who can't handle the fact that hey other people can sit next to or talk to their girlfriend's he's an alpha male so he lifts her chair and all and now she's "side to side" with him. I would just like to point out at this point that if you google synonym of the phrase next to, side by side comes up. Now i'm not exactly sure how you can be side to side with someone you were already sitting next to but ahh well.
scene 2: Chapter 16 Techy & Alisha are being chased by the bad guys. They get into the club, the gate is locked and see Alisha says "we all stand and wait" at no point did she say they went into a house or anything like that, next thing the baddies arrive, she says "The bikes are parked at the front of the gates, shooting towards us, they are hitting the bullet proof glass" i don't.. i can't... where did the bulletproof glass come from??
scene 3: The washing machine. Alisha decides to do laundry (why this book has such a mundane scene is beyond me) anyways she brings out all the clothes except a sock she can't reach she says Alisha: "i'm a few inches from reaching it" Me: ummmm ,ok cool. Alisha: "i jump and try to grab the sock but still miss.. " Me: But wasn't the sock like a few inches from you.. also why is the word jump being used.. and is she using some kind of industrial washing machine is that why it's so deep? Alisha: "I jump again and land on my belly with my feet hanging in the air" Me: STOP!! STOP!! STOP!! How is that even possible? The machine opens from the top why are you jumping?? won't you go up when you jump?? .no.. nooo.. what?? is going on?? Alisha: "I am stuck in the washer. That's what happens when you're five foot one with shoes on and Jordan has one of those washers with deep insides." ME: WHAT????!!!! WHAT??!! I'M FREAKING FIVE FOOT ONE!! what kind of washer is that deep?? and she was wearing shoes??
I think i need to get off this track before i explode.. Onwards then!!!!
The speech.. LeAnn I gotta ask. why does everyone in this book sound out all the words? Did they just practice speaking with the Queen's premier? (context: queen's premier was a popular book back in the 80's in my country we used to practice proper english, had sentences like up we go, we go up are we up. that kind of stuff). Anyways i find it hard to believe that Americans will enunciate all their words; "You will die you might not know when, but it will happen" ... "I will kill her" so much of the speech is like that and it just makes the characters sound robotic. That aside, it's almost like LeAnn isn't sure if the characters should sound out all the words or abbreviate them "That's the woman who is going to do your wardrobe...While she's measuring you for everything, I will get all your devices set up" "Once you're not in pain anymore, I am going to take you out on a date" Why does the speech pattern switch up like that??
Then LeAnn why does a random female character always step up to the main female character and disrespect her?? everytime??? why??? you need to switch up your plot.
Also holy shit, is there no law in wherever these people live?? They blew up people!!! They cleared out someone's bank account, They cut off people's fingers. They cut off someone's dick, The women took a baseball bat to someone in broad fucking daylight, Techy beat someone to the point that 13 teeth fell out. Do you know how hard you have to hit someone for that to happen? also how come he's able to hit someone and get the precise number of teeth he wants to fall out to fall out?? and in all of these not one single policeman was called?? Like even call the police so we can see the characters bribing them or something..
Also what do these Motorcycle people do?? I mean LeAnn you say they do legal shit and they're all apparently rich.. Heck Techy has a black credit card but what exactly does he do?? What do they do??
p.s: this isn't a fault but this part made me think of the episode in south park where Harley riders came into Town "People have stopped in the middle parking lot to stare at the number of bikers. Amusement bubbles as i watch them turn around and get right back into their vehicles"
lol now i can't read MC books with a straight face.. damn you south park!
I definitely liked this one better than the first in the series. This one felt way more cohesive without too many different plots going on at the same time. Techy was super sweet but also very alpha possessive. The romance was more believable as they had been talking online and facetiming for a couple of months before they met face to face. I loved watching Alisha grow into her own and gain confidence the more time that went on. I'm looking forward to Butcher's story next but the real one I'm waiting for is Trey, Vinny and Lanie's story. I really hope that one gets written. Man on man action that turns into a trio once they meet Lanie? Yes, please!!!
It started well enough. H/h meet online and they have skype calls regularly. H saves h from her abusive father and H claims h as his old lady.. ok so far so good.. then the writing goes to shit..
Seriously?! The dialogue between H/h and everyone else is so juvenile.. like a bunch of teenagers and so so cheesy and not in a good way..
Heroine is portrayed as a shallow dumdum who is TSTL.. I imagined a young immature woman who talks with a breathy baby voice...
I like smut in my books but this was just a weird caricature of a biker romance..
Techy was the second book in the Devil Souls MC series by LeAnn Ashers.
Jordan "Techy" Walker was the IT hacker within the Devils Souls MC. He was smart, confident masculine and all alpha. He knew the second he laid eyes on Alisha that she was his forever love. They met online and the relationship built through a FaceTime friendship for months before they ever met in person.
I liked how the story started strong with drama. Although it was abusive and not an easy part of the story, it had a rescue and the promise of a future filled with hope. It set the stage on what to expect from Techy throughout the book while also providing an understanding of Alisha's past. I also loved that they owned their relationship from that moment on. They both jumped in and embraced it. The drama that ensued was all drama from their lives, not from their relationship.
Ashers' writing style was simple, with teenage like humor, caveman alphas and over the top scenarios. It was a love it or hate it style, thus the mixed reviews. It was a fast read but I felt like I was missing stories. Ashers did a great job mentioning the players but it was still hard to follow so I just kept reading with the expectation that it would all tie up neatly in the end.
As the story progressed and wrapped up I found I was entertained, not because it was believable but because it was action packed and fast paced. Did I say over the top? Totally over the top and not even close to plausible. Timing is everything for a good read and apparently I needed something quick, drama filled and somewhat suspenseful because it worked for me.
Ashers promised an offspring spinoff which I welcome. In the meantime, up next is Butcher, the Devil's Souls Enforcer. Ashers provided quite a few teasers so I'm expecting to love the banter between Butcher and Shayla as we experience their story.
Great the second time around. Absolutely loved it. There is talk of wanting to rape the old ladies by another club, but it never happens and never descriptive. Love these men who fall quickly for their one. https://storiesinreview971130128.word...
Let's start off by saying that this was a brand new author for us and are we throughly enjoy this MC box set was each and every club members story was a blast. One thing we loved most about the series is that we loved all the characters as well as the women that they made their old ladies.
Out of all the stories Torch and Techy's stories were my favorites and I definitely developed a bit of a soft spot for both of them and in my opinion were definitely swoon worthy. One thing I loved about all these MC members how protective they were of their women as it was hot as hell and sure made me want to have one of them for my own ! lol It amazed me how all of them new for the onset of meeting their women that they were the one for them and took what the wanted right then and there. They had claimed their women from the onset of meeting them but, what I loved most is how each and every one of them courted their women as it was really sweet and endearing and boy did they spoil them lol. I will also say that I was in awe of these men as It was evident from the onset of the story how dangerous and violent these men could be but, when I came to their women in their presence they were all little lambs. All these men it was like they had two different personalties at any given time as the could be sweet and kind and caring as well as possessive and protective but, the minute their women or brothers or their families were threatened a switch was flipped and they all became lethal deadly killing machines.
Torch and Kayla what a whirlwind romance as Torch saved Kayla from being a victim of a women trafficking ring and from the minute they met is protective instincts took over and he was a goner.Kayla impressed me with her independence and the life she lived and never let her blindness get the best of her.I loved how regardless of her blindness she new for the onset of meeting Torch that he would be someone who she could trust. Omg ! did this couple have chemistry! I loved them together they were so sexy together and clearly perfect for one another.I loved Kayla she was one tough cookie and I have to say I loved the set down she gave a prospect who insulted her she had me laughing out loud when she took care of business.I loved Torch's possessiveness, his protective instincts and how he raised his daughter all on his own and did a damn good job of it.We also loved all those dark bits of him he is someone you definitely one someone in your corner.
Techy and Alisha were another favorite couple of ours. Techy made me hot !He surprised me the most as he was totally a alpha and I never really expected that of him.I loved his protective instincts of Alisha and the lengths he went to keep her safe.Omg !Techy was one totally sexy hot alpha that made a girls panties wet! We enjoyed the romance between Alisha and Techy as it was a sweet courtship but, once he claimed her fully we saw a whole other side of his alpha-ness but, most of all he an Alisha were perfect for another and made the cutest couple."We loved them !"
Butcher & Shaylin
Butcher was definitely a character that was full of layers as well as being very dark, dangerous and he carried this sadness and heartache around constantly with him and our heart broke for the pain he carried around within him all the time. Shaylin was a character that was a lot of fun as she was one of those little bad-asses. I loved the little MC princess who seemed deal with intense situations cool and calmly and never flinched and is someone you want in your corner when crap is going down around you.We loved how confident she always seem to be and yet surprised us in the next breath with owning a bakery and baking being her passion as it seemed so out of character for her.Did I mention she was a club Princess of another club and had a over protective father (Smiley) and brother (Lane) and a whole slew of uncles who were over protective of her and then comes along the Butcher from the Devil Souls who is dark and dangerous and claims her from the moment he set eyes on her.Can you say shit hit the fan ! lol Omg ! Did we love how Butcher finally claimed Shaylin as it was priceless! We loved their ending as it was perfect and we loved seeing Butcher for the first time in which seemed like forever happy.
Liam and Paisley
Poor Paisley has been the one women who has been getting targeted the most due to the fact that she is the Club Princess of the Devil Souls and also the fact that her father Torch is their VP is not helping matters it just makes the target bigger.Liam and Paisley have been in love with each other since High School but, after years apart he is back to claim his women. This story was full of tons of drama due to the fact the the clubs enemies have been targeting the old ladies so as you can imagine the war became more deadly and the club is out to eliminate their enemies and their out for blood.
Liam was yet another alpha in the mix of things. We love his cockiness his swag and good looks. We loved his possessiveness and how protective he was of Paisley but, one thing for sure is Paisley is no wilting flower.Liam his some brass balls for sure taking on Torch Paisley's father when it comes to claiming his baby girl.We have to say there were some really funny standoffs between the two throughout the story that made us laugh out loud more than once.
Paisley and Liam made the perfect couple they were so sweet together. This couple had major chemistry and were clearly deeply in love with one another.I loved Paisley's sense of humor and outgoing personality. One of the things we loved about Liam as well as the other members is how when they are in public with their women they make sure the men around them know for sure their women are claimed by them which made for some memorable moments throughout the story time and time again. lol
We loved the conclusion to this on going series as this last story was filled with so much drama had tons of sub plots and the story had you on edge even more wondering if they all were going to come out un scathed from this war.I have to give a shout out to the old ladies of this club as they made us laugh out loud time and time again not only that we loved how they had each others back and even proved it once or twice which lead to some really hilarious moments.
For us this was a awesome series as all the character's were all so love-able that you could not help but form and connection with them.We loved that these dark and dangerous men found their perfect mates and although the road to their happily ever after was fraught with twists and turns and danger we loved falling in love with these character's along the way and we really enjoyed being on their adventures to get their.he entire series
Oh boy. So, I'm apparently in the minority on this one, and that's ok. Not all books are going to work for everyone. I loved the premise of this book. It sounded awesome. It even started out awesome. But it started to lose me at 13%...and that's not a good thing. But at 13%, I was left wondering what else could happen since (to me) the biggest obstacle was removed from the story. All I could see was unnecessary drama throughout the rest of the book. But I pushed on and...well...let's just say I had issues.
I realize I had an ARC. I can overlook minor editing issues...but there were some pretty big consistency issues in this, and I'm not talking page to page, or between chapters...I'm talking from one paragraph to the next and even in the same sentence. I sincerely hope that it got another once over before it went live.
I'm ok with some over the top antics in my books...it can be good drama and amusing at times. But this one, with all it's OTT stuff was just too much. I was sitting there staring at my kindle just stupefied.
I have been eagerly awaiting “Techy” and his story for quite some time. WOW WOW WOW!! He was definitely worth the wait!! This is a hot, fast, safe read about an alpha male who found his mate and it was love at first sight. Alisha went thru something really tragic and horrible (that’s how Techy came to meet her ); Techy rescued her and immediately changed all that was sad and wrong in her life before. He showed her what her life was missing and in that instant, what she thought about herself, her life changed and what Techy thought about his life, himself changed. This was one fantastic story that kept me entertained and hooked from start to finish. There is a lot of action and suspense due to a rival biker gang. There is so many sweet and romantic moments between Techy and Alisha. He was completely faithful and I love this-Ms Ashers writes heroes that are completely faithful to their mates which makes me one happy woman because the men are true –good strong alpha men/mates to their women. Techy is all soft when it comes to his woman but threaten her and Techy becomes your worst nightmare. This story shows you the depth and the length of what a man will go to for his woman. I thought I loved Torch but now there is Techy and he is giving Torch a run for the money in the best boyfriend stakes. I just know this is one of the best new series out there (Devil Souls MC) and I cannot wait to see whose book is next. I find the writing refreshing, the love beautiful and the characters ones that I could relate to, and connect to as if they are good friends. I hated when the book ended so I eagerly await for the next book to come out. Kudos to the author for keeping this story fresh and interesting. The passion is hot, the sex is intense and the emotions are pulsing off the pages. If you are looking for a hot MC read, then this is it.
My rating: 4.8 stars **** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Let me start off by saying that if you loved Torch, you will adore Techy!! To me there's nothing sexier than a protective alpha male with a sweet side!! No one would ever harm his girl (ever again!) or his club. Talk about swoon-worthy!! What Alisha had experienced made my hear ACHE for her. I mean, holy crap. Good thing Techy was in her life now...there wasn't a thing he wouldn't do for her.
The chemistry between Alisha and Techy sizzled right off the pages of this book! And while their love was instant, it ran deep and was undeniable. Throw in some suspense and H.O.T. scenes to an already amazing plot, and this book quickly became addictive to me!!
LeAnn better be typing away some words because I need more of these guys!!! FIVE STARS!
3rd read September 2025: ridiculously OTT, but sometimes you just need some good ‘ol’ escapism. I’m here for it.
Re-read March 2024: I needed a palate cleanser, a sure thing and Leann Asher books are prefect for this. Wonderfully OTT, delicious!
Original review: These MC men are just so delicious! They fall hard for their women and never waver. Super alpha, super protective and super possessive, delish! It’s all a bit OTT and definite cases of instalove, but I can’t get enough of it! Techy was such a sweetheart, but only for his Alisha. Wonderful side characters (these bikers stick together!), no clubwhores or OW drama (yasss) and plenty of scorching steam. Everything I love about MC books without all the mast stuff that puts me off them. I will be continuing with the next book right away!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Safety: No OW/OM drama (even though H gets jealous easily…touch her and die vibes) No cheating No separation / no third act break up Physical abuse Violence, blood and gore
If I could give this book more than Five stars I would:)!!!! Leann Asher's books keep getting better and better. This is Techy's and Alisha book. Techy is a member of the MC and he is trying to help the sex trafficking problem that has been happening in the town and couple other nearby places around. He goes on dating website to help figure out the problem and he meets Alisha on the dating site and boom he feel for her. It was Insta everything in this book I loved it so much. There chemistry and love for each other was believable. Techy's little jokes here and there were funny. Alisha home life was absolutely horrible but that turned around when techy saved her and brought her with him to his home. Techy was super sweet and so swoon worthy my goodness!! I can't wait for more of the series!:) Butchers next and I'm so excited to see what happens in his book!!!!!!!:)
Techy was on a mission to track the men who were using dating sites for targets for sex trafficking. He never expected to find Alisha and after months of chatting with her over the phone,he still has not met her in person. When Techy realizes Alisha is in trouble, he comes to her rescue and plans on taking his time getting the beautiful innocent woman to trust him.
Alisha is falling hard for Techy and he encourages her to be herself and flourishes under his care. Techy has made it clear she is his woman, can she adapt to his life and find the one thing she has always been searching for, happiness?
This is one of those books you pick up, sit down, and are done before you realize it. I liked Techy he was OTT alpha male who is enamored by Alisha. Great read, this series always a joy to read.
Figured out where to find my review. Great the second time around. Absolutely loved it. There is talk of wanting to rape the old ladies by another club, but it never happens and never descriptive. Love these men who fall quickly for their one. https://storiesinreview971130128.word...
Let me say I did not read the first book in the series, but I definitely have to now! Techy aka Jordan and Alisha are such a cute couple and of course I love me some alpha males and Techy is 100% all alpha male!
When Alisha and Jordan first start talking/dating online, she never tells him the horrible life she is living. Alisha had endured so much pain and torture that I wanted to cry for her. But when Techy sees what Alisha is going through he comes running FAST! There isn’t a person who is going to lay a hand on his woman and live to see another day. Alisha has a lot of learning and living to do, but is Techy the right man to teach her how?
I love insta-love and Techy and Alisha are adorably sweet together. I loved seeing Alisha’s character grow from when we first meet her, and I love how protective Jordan is over her. I really enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait for the next in the series. And I am going to read book 1 ASAP!
When I first started Techy I was all set for a read that I had thought was going to suck me right in and be full of action, and it did start that way but then it started to go downhill. I loved how Jordan aka Techy was with Alisha in the beginning, he was super protective and alpha male but gentle with her when needed. Alisha deserved someone like Techy in her life; especially after how she grew up she needed someone like Jordan in her life. The chemistry and connection between them was strong and Jordan was who Alisha needed when we first meet these characters. Jordan’s character didn’t really change but Alisha’s did and I don’t know if it was a believable change or not.
While this one started off strong, it slowly began to go downhill. I began to lose that connection with the characters I had from the start. When I read a book that is deemed to be an MC romance I have certain expectations as well and this one didn’t come close unfortunately to what those expectations were. More than one eye rolling moment and comment of yeah like in real life they would ever let that happen, I just wanted Techy to be over with. This one had a lot of potential and the first half of the book lived up to that potential so I don’t know what happened for the second half but I wish I would have enjoyed this one more than I did, I really wanted to. In the end this is an okay read, not good, not bad just okay and for me that was a disappointment because I wanted it to be good.
3.5 stars. I loved H's protectiveness. This book was better than the author's 1st book that I DNFed one year ago.
The beginning was great that I felt deeply for h. However, about in the middle I got a little bit tired, don't care about some unnecessary incidents. And again, the author tried to include a lot characters for future books.
This novel needs another round or two of plot editing and grammar editing. Details seemed to simply evaporate from one page to the other without ever being mentioned again. Techy also seemed to have two sides to him that were at odds with how he treated her and acted with his MC. After he assumed that he wouldn't wear a condom because (independent of what she wanted) he was going to have a kid, it was the last straw for me.
I like this book so much I went and bought Torch, the first book in this series. Ms. Ashers is a new author to me and I really love her work!! Jordan "Techy" was is researching women online for the next victim of a kidnapping and sex slave ring that a gang was selling women to. He comes to a profile of Alisha and he just had to message her. Both of their lives changed from that first message.
Alisha has been living in hell ever since her father got addicted to drugs and put a needle in her mother's arm addicting her also. She has seen some crazy stuff that no 21-year-old should have to witness. She has been talking to Jordan for months now and she has to sneak to do it as to not alert her dad. When she is facetiming him her dad comes in and all hell breaks loose. Jordan comes to rescue her with his fellow MC members. That will be a day she never forgets, she feels so protected with Jordan that she blossoms.
Can't believe the chemistry between Techy and Alisha. He goes from sweet, loving alpha to a beast when anyone messes or gives Alisha a sideways look. Overall I've loved this book!!!
** I voluntarily read this book in exchange for an honest review**
I received an ARC of this book from the author via The Hype PR. Thank you LeAnn Ashers and The Hype PR!
I wanna start off by saying that I love Techy in the first half of the book. Like, LOVE him. He has the really great and quirky sense of humour, and he is just such a breath of fresh air. I really felt as though he and Alisha would be different from Kayla and Torch - softer in a sense, but in a good way.
Here's where it gets iffy for me. I get how the MC are supposed to be defenders of women and children and all that jazz, however, that does not entitle them to be that sadistic. I physically cringed on many occasions. To top it all off, they laugh when they perform these violent acts. A lot. That is just disturbing to me to say the least.
In addition, Alysha starts off as this really cute, innocent girl. Love it. Not to say that I don't like some badassery from females in books, because hell yeah I do, but her behaviour leaned towards - Techy will kill me for this - "bitch". That diner scene. Okay, you can totally to the first part, like that's fine, but the rest? Completely overboard in my opinion.
If I were to critique the writing, I'd say, that LeAnn needs to fill it out more; the sentences were a little cut short and ever so slightly choppy in the beginning. I wanted to see some more adjectives and description because each sentence seemed to be the standard formulation of subject + verb + complement. I would also liked to have seen the final "pinnacle" of the story to be longer and more drawn out. In my opinion, it was too quickly resolved and lacked impact.
I feel as though this book needed moderation. That's it. The bones for a great story are there, and the beginning of characterization is on point. I look forward to Butch's story, because although he is just as sadistic, he has a reason for it, and cannot wait to learn about his background.
After reading Torch I was so excited for this book! I don't read a lot of MC romance novels anymore but the way the author does these, they are fresh and so amazing!
All I can say, is I want my own techy! He is perfect! He's sweet and caring and honest but also, dangerous, scary, tough and sexy! I want one!!!
Alisha was amazing!! She may be this innocent young (21) women and has had a really hard life but she is a true inspiration. She has a fire that never burns out and as she comes to terms with her life, her back bone is funny and crazy!
Oh man this book! It was sweet and silly, sexy and raw. Totally what makes an amazing MC romance novel! It's got the action I craved and so much more. While most MCs have that family feel, this series and the characters in it, they have the most real feel that I've felt. The way they interact and protect is second to none!!!
This author is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her ability to pull me in and keep me hooked, while making me laugh and swoon is amazing! Every page I read, every character we meet, she is able to make me crave more and more books from her talented hands!
Overall, this book is amazing! If your in the mood for a super sweet yet rugged alpha male, and a heroine that while innocent, she has the true backbone of a MC Ol Lady, then this book is for you! You will fall in love with all the characters and crave more! 5 stars #2OCCJD
I was pulled right into this story. This is the first story by this author I read but will not be the last. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
Before reading this story please read the below books first Torch (Devils Souls MC #1)
This is Alisha and Techy’s story. Techy met Alisha on a dating site while investigating some dangerous people. They stay in touch but after he witnesses her being hurt. He goes and gets her. Now he must get her to understand his world and her worth. She needs protection and love that she never had. Can he protect her and get her to love him? What happens when danger comes calling? Will danger take her away from him? Or will him and his brother’s keep her safe and take out the danger once and for all?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Techy is my first book by LeAnn Ashers!!! I absolutely loved it!!! Techy rescues Alisha from her abusive father!! He will do everything in his power to keep his angel safe!!! Techy melts my heart with how much he love Alisha!! He is such a protective alpha biker!!! Phenomenal story that flows and was very well written!!! Fantastic secondary characters!! This book made me laugh, cry, sit on the edge of my seat and so totally fall in love with Techy and Alisha!! Can't wait for the next book!!!
Alisha is living a nightmare childhood with a very abusive father. She meets Techy online, and for a period of time they face time, until the day he sees what her father has been doing to her. He rescues her with guns blazing, and she finally felt safe and protected. Jordan, aka Techy, is a member of the Devil's Soul MC, and the best with computers. They fall for each other quickly, but when someone wants to hurt her because of her father owing money, Techy gets serious real quick, as no one messes his family, or hell will rain down on their heads. Yes Techy is an instalove story, and I couldn't get enough of it. Alisha has had to go below the radar her whole childhood, but with the love of an alpha, she learns how to kick a** quickly. Techy is the mouth watering alpha that isn't scared of love, and together, they explode into steamy sexy scene goodness guaranteed to destroy panties everywhere. The women of this MC are absolutely hilarious, and they made for perfectly placed humor. LeAnn Ashers has a talented writing style that I can't get enough of, as I was instantly fully captivated, and stayed that way cover to cover. Besides all the goodness that I mentioned above, her twists and turns kept me on my toes, and frankly, I still have a question or two, but it's not a cliffy. I'm an addicted fan girl now, and I simply CANNOT WAIT for the next book in this awesome series, so I'll just end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING Techy to ALL!
